Cal Kestis (Jedi Survivor) - VC#265

^ in theory yes, the initial 14.99 cal wave should be gone BUT in reality, it may not, just look back at all the reports not too long ago of the kuill/lobot wave hitting stores again. Just think if Lando is still pegwarming when the 16 99 price takes effect lol.
 
Best of the wave IMO! And quite possibly the best of 22, though I suspect I won't have him until 23. He is a 22 figure though, right? lol
Cal, Fennec, Bib. I don't generally like giving Troopers any top five list but that Airborne Mandalorian turned out really cool!

The only thing I don't much like about it is the Blaster, it just seems very uninteresting and simplistic. Though I guess that's the fault of the game developers not Hasbro.

I'd have to stick either of the BoBF Boba Fett figures in that list also.

I was glad the first game was just lightsaber combat, so I wasn't thrilled to see him with a holster, but I kind of like that this looks like a revolver.

Looks like a solid sculpt, I wonder if they can repurpose most of the body for a TROS Poe figure, as the arms and legs look similar.
 
Honestly, I think he's a solid base for Dash Rendar. Juts need a new torso and head sculpt, even though the current head sculpt could suffice custom wise.

True, and there up there, I'm just so Boba'd out at this point that I didn't mention him. Because the ROTJ Fett is also very nice upgrade but it's still the same character I've been buying figures of my whole life.

Plus, Cal's outfit can be customized to be different people in civilian attire but Boba will always look like the same armored character.

Mine too! This and Luke are the two I've been most excited for since they were announced.
 
Well if he's shipping from some places already perhaps that will mean a retail appearance by the time the game comes out to have a little tie-in action!

Speaking of, a young Cal would be fairly easy to do as 95% of it already exists. Be a simple Gamin Greats repaint if a bit expensive for a tiny Padawan figure.
 
My preorder from BBTS came in today and this figure rocks. His poses look natural and he can hold the lightsaber with to hands (like others have shown). Still looks weird to me with a blaster after playing the first game and not having one, so that's staying in the holster for now. Glad to finally have him and BD-1 in this scale!!
 
I saw that earlier, too bad he wasn't in stock a couple weeks back when I ordered other stuff. Now I'd struggle to reach the $39 free shipping minimum.
 
GameStop Canada is loaded with this guy and Vel, grabbed a second to open, really happy, I think he is the perfect package of accessories and the little Droid is the icing on the cake, wish every release felt this good
 
I ordered three from EE the other day along with TBS Cobb Vanth on sale for $20 something. Yeah, I finally broke down and bought Cobb as the price was just too good to pass up! Still want him in TVC though!!

I think I can turn one of these Cal figures into Dash Rendar if I can carefully cut off that chest armor. Also the head sculpt might also work if I darken up the beard.
 
After watching a gameplay combat video yesterday, it sure seems like Cal will have two lightsabers for the majority of the game. It makes me wish they gave us two for him here.
 
Yeah, it's almost as if the never actually saw any game footage or was told that he has several different Saber battle stances. I guess a blaster, BD-1 unlit hilt and a Lightsaber was all they could afford on a $14.99 price point.

Now all we have to do is wait for the DLX version that features him in alternate outfit/color and possibly some small weird creature like the TBS DLX repaint. Then they'll be able to offer the double blade and dual sabers as well as the various unlit hilts. Or maybe they'll just make the double bladed Saber come apart?
