Get excited because there’s a new Boba Fett from The Book of Boba Fett on the way with a new toe joint for extra poses.

Thoughts on this figure?

I'm excited about him. I like the soft goods. I didn't like the plastic ones on the other one, which is why I modified it on mine, even though in this case, it didn't do anything. Here he is compared to the Tython one which I didn't modify with soft goods.

Needs more deco of scuffing on the helm, too flat, and the head is just bad, I'd rather not head and better paint apps all around

Here’s a hot take: the first BOBF Fett is a top ten figure in the whole line and my favorite look for the character.

I have no idea why they changed it up. Looks a little too superheroish.

Yeah I'm keen on this, agree the kama is lacking. Most of the current soft goods lack any kind of drape to them. I'll still get him, nice addition to my BOBF wave. The new toe articulation I'm not convinced by, could prove problematic but otherwise like it.

You mean the "Morak" look from "The Mandalorian"?

Looks like an armoured spacesuit from where I'm sitting. 🤫

The newer look isn’t terrible. I just prefer his blend of old school Boba Fett and Tusken Raider robe. It was a unique take on the costume.

Been looking forward to this guy. I know its not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm happy to finally see him. Also he's not a deluxe? No Fett tax this time!

...Just the normal tax, price hikes, and the tariffs. 🥲

I have this guy in literally every possible scale I think lol this design has got me good, have the figuarts version already but need to have a more playable one for 6"

Yeah I got the Figuarts Mando Boba Fett and I was disappointed at how fragile it was (and how they changed a lot between the promo images and final release) At some point it was knocked off my shelf and part of the rangefinder and helmet broke. I replaced it with the Black Series version.

I just like how durable TBS is. I'm also not ashamed to say I still play with my figures too lol.

Looks like 60 hours after launching at 27.99, amazon upped the price on this one to 29.99. ...who are they "comparing" prices to?

It's not comparing, it's more dynamic pricing, they see a

rush of orders and pump it up, like gas prices, as orders slow the price comes back down, it's their way of min maxing to compensate for sales periods and prime discounts

A few years ago, this thread would've been multiple pages of excitement by now, but oh well. Those days are long gone. But it's nice to always just go through the motions and be able to PO both a Jango and Boba figure easily.

He's not really all that different from the previous BoBF though. On a purely surface level I mean (obviously there are some noteable differences). Its no different to people not getting too excited about a Dagobah R2 or a blue coated Hoth Han.

They completely missed giving him the scratch over the right eye of his helmet.

But they have pre-order price guarantee, once the price falls down all those pre-orders that were at 29.99 go down too.

Youre seeing toys and pre orders do that, Amazon has a pricing system and algorithms for their entire business so this happens to be one small aspect that seems non sensical to us, but is just how their system is built to work.
