Looks like I’ll be taking an acetone qtip to this dude’s head. Too much to hope for that Hasbro would dial down the blue
Gotta wait for the "Deluxe" version.![]()
Hot dog! I can hardly wait for the cup holding action!!Well this one looks like he comes with a selection of cups and glasses. Bit of a drinker there, Bib!
Straws and umbrellas are missing though.Hot dog! I can hardly wait for the cup holding action!!
The upper left hand corner one looks exactly like an in-line water filter.
The cups are from a behind the scenes moment. It’s weird that he has double jointed knees. They’re not gonna be useful unless you replace his coat with soft goods. I wonder if the legs are reuse from Lando or someone else? Either way, he looks good and I’ll def be getting himThe facial blue doesn't look so prominent in this vid.
Not to have soft goods on this figure makes sense. But to have articulation in his legs doesn'tHe seems very much incapable of posing in other ways than standing, but I also don't think anyone would pose him in other ways than standing.
I wouldn't mind to have soft goods like the old Kenner Bib though.
The cups are still a mystery to me.

They probably gave him knee joints so that when they release him again with soft goods, they’ll say, see, it’s something new. Ka-Ching!
They got to be from something previously released, since they have the double pins.
Yup, they are. I thought they were from Bespin Lando, but his pants have no texture, whereas Dryden's do.I'm pretty sure the legs are a re-use from Dryden Vos
I would use a qtip with rubbing alcohol before acetone. I’ve used alcohol many times to remove factory paint. Acetone will work but there’s more of a chance of damaging the plastic. The blue seemed very minor in the video posted above (his actually looked pretty good). Once more people begin finding him, I hope somebody posts here about the amount of blue theirs has, and especially if acetone works to lessen it (or should something else be used?).
Yep, 91% isopropyl alcohol does a fine job of toning down Bib’s blue. But be careful you don’t touch the swab to his eyes: they, too, come off very easily.
Now, where’s my 20/0 tip paintbrush…
Did you use Acetone or Alcohol?
I decided to try it, since my Jabba display was sorely missing Bib, and my will is weak (I was hoping to play the long game and see if a potential ROTJ40 reissue would lack the blue paint, but 2023 is MONTHS from now!Plus, it might never happen).
I've essentially just dipped Q-Tips in isopropyl alcohol and rubbed the Q-Tip firmly on the blue areas. The results are pretty good so far. Much of the blue spray is removed, though it has been difficult to eliminate it completely, especially from nooks and crannies (like sand, the blue gets everywhere). Super fine hobby brushes work better than Q-Tips for the crevices. I'm going to keep working on it and probably try a toothbrush next.
Thanks to those who mentioned this solution. Even though any blue at all on the figure's skin annoys me, the "after" is much more acceptable to me.
