A sneak peak of my current project. Having serious fit issues with the belt. Looks like putty and sanding is gonna have to be the solution.

Also was messing around with my old Stormie I built a couple years ago and really liked how the natural light turned out in a couple quick snapshots. I really need to try to take better photos of my stuff.

I had issues with the belt when I wanted the holster on the other side and discovered the belt options are different. Compare them closely and you'll see. You might have them mixed up.

I followed the instructions correctly. I remember now that some build videos on YouTube also had issues with the belt and didn’t use the pieces as listed per the instructions. If I remember correctly it was found that using the belt part made for the holster on both sides (rather than the non-holster piece) worked best. And I’m pretty sure that’s what I did on my previous build. But I forgot all about that with this one and it’s too late since I’ve already sanded down the parts and glued them in place….

Ah well. This will work out fine once I fill the gaps. But I’ve got one more regular trooper to build so I’m gonna write notes from mistakes on this build to stick in the box for that one whenever I get to it!

Just finished my 1:72 B-Wing Fighter, pretty nice and straight forward kit.
I did a compete repaint, as usual ;)
Just had little troubles to find good reference pictures of the "orange circle" version. The pictures I took back then at the Identities Show, are for the "no circle" ship, wich would have been the SDCC exclusive with the missing panels on the center wing.
But with the help of the RPF boards, I got directed to photo collection, wich is rumored to be shot by MR, shortly before they closed their doors.
I tried not to overload it, and choosed just the most present weathering.
The cockpit is still turnable, but it would scratch off the paint again where it meets the main body.

That looks great! My next build is gonna be the green x-wing from rise of skywalker. I have mixed feelings about the sequel trilogy, but I do like the new x-wing.

Your post has me thinking about where to find at least a few decent reference pics for it. There don’t seem to be many available with a basic google search.

Agree, both the green and Poe's orange one are tempting, but under the line these are just paint variants of the ealier blue and Poe's black one, so I skipped them for my collection. Would have prefered the Resistance version of the Y-Wing or A-Wing or maybe a 144 kit of the TLJ Bombers

After MONTHS of waiting, I finally got confirmation through Big Bad Toy Store that my preorders for the clone trooper and Grievous kits have been added to my pile of loot. =)

If anyone is still looking for those, you might want to check BBTS out, even if the status is set still to Pre-Order. Some things just drop when you least expect it. Curiously, still nothing on the Mandalorian and Razor Crest kits.

Found a pretty great storage option for the Bandai astromechs. Picked them up at Target in a 3-pack. Brand is called Snap Lock, and is the 1 cup size. They feel very rugged, have a secure locking mechanism, and a rubber gasket to keep moisture out. I wrapped the droids is some acid-free archival tissue paper (found on Amazon), and placed a piece of bubble wrap on top and bottom for extra protection.

These kits can be a bit fragile, so if you need to store/transport them safely, these will do the job nicely.

Nice! My regular Mando just arrived in my pile of loot at BBTS. Will be a while before I have time to build him though. Still working on my Luke in Stormie kit right now and next I’m building the green resistance x-wing. Mando will be sometime after that.

My local Hobby Lobby had the 1/12 Beskar Mandalorian but it’s priced at 70 bucks. I had to do a double take. Is that really the MSRP for that kit?
