The paperwork does seem quite weak to me also. I'm used to image references when it comes to memorabilia. But the original letter says ''congratulations'', so could possibly be from an auction?

Don't get me wrong, I have purchased things with less paperwork. But for that amount of money, I was hoping someone knew something about it.
I don't even remember Lucas Films auctioning off parts of the full size Falcon, or remembering anyone mention that before.

Looks pretty legit...but man 5k for a piece of a set not even a actor used prop...this field has gotten nuts.

Originally sold in 1984 so maybe there was an auction or something and this was an item up for grabs?
