Re: ARC-170 -- Clone Wars Deco Vehicle

The ARC-170 Repaint is nice. Man, I need room to display it if I'm going to get it. My ROTS version is sitting on the carpet in my office; I had to move it out of the SW room because I'm waiting on a new arrival. The blue appears to be a little darker than the CW Gunship blue. I like the video action as part of the photo archive now.

No thanks. I prefer the ROTS version. The shark look doesn't fit, the look suits the Gunship perfectly.

Which is exactly why I don't like it. The WW2 look is great because it makes it look custom. It's not very custom if you only find out that this design is the look of the entire squadron. I'm in the camp that believes that the look of the gunship is awesome because it does 2 things.
1. It makes the Muunilist ARC's look superbadass
2. It makes the gunsjip stand out in a sea of AOTC versions.

As I've said in previous posts, I'm excited for the battlepack, because it gives us more clones to add to the gunship, but I don't need them for the ARC-170.

It's okay though, more for you all!

I love it, but then I think it's a great design overall. I would love to see it in that green/gray deco the Titaniums have recently done.

Top priority for me. I have yet to find a CW gunship at a nice price and a few battle packs to go with it, but the design is too cool to pass.

Check Ebay, I kept trying and got one for $35 shipped last spring.

I want this but the nearest Target is an hour away and since gas is so cheap lmao makes it kind of hard to get unless I plan a head for it.
And then there is the inevitabilty that when I get to said target
I will be dissapointed cause They will not have any. Either that or they will have no clue as to what I am talking about.

Yow. Thats cheaper than it was originally in store. Nice find. I've watched for quite some time and any version of the gunship goes for a pretty penny. I finally sucked it up after watching for 8 months or so got one. Now I need one of these Arc-170 since I missed the first one.

There's an easy fix for that. Ignore that fact.

Didn't see this thread and accidentally started a new one so forgive me. Anyway, I used the dpci# to get this at Target this morning! Very nice.

NO worries dude - as was pointed out in the other thread, check the index when you're in doubt, it's saved me more than a few times.

They showed up here in Atlanta via DPCI last week, along with the corresponding BP. Funny thing is, I bet they've been around for a while, but with Target being as dead as it has been - at least around here, people just aren't checking that frequently.

Probably will pick one up this week...

Re: ARC-170 -- Clone Wars Deco / ARC-170 Battle Pa

looks great and i think is probably better than the 1st version. the 1st one lacked a good paint wash and made all those screws stand out on 1 side, this paint scheme is awesome and does go well with the gunship (which i have!).

it'd be nice if costco packed these together -but that's highly unlikely as it's a target exclusive.

Re: ARC-170 -- Clone Wars Deco / ARC-170 Battle Pa

So I opened up my ARC-170 tonight. Very nice ship in terms of size and appeal, however, the paint app leaves a bit to be desired. There are scratches and areas where the blue paint rubbed off on the top of the ship, and discoloration on the tops of the wings. The wings almost look like they were molded in the blue color. Anyone else have similar issues?

Does it look like the paint aps in the pic below? If so, I believe that it's intentional.

Got two ARC Fighters and two BP's. Think I need one more BP to finish off the set.

Re: ARC-170 -- Clone Wars Deco / ARC-170 Battle Pa

I just got the CW ARC-170 that I ordered (Amazon/Target) for my son this Christmas. It's a nice looking box, and I can't wait to see what it looks like when my son opens it up on Christmas morning.

My sons give me a great excuse to buy cool toys since I enjoy them as much as the do.

2 more BPs if you want to pilot the CW Gunship and give the clones a place to hang out. I've picked up 3 Battle packs so far and plan on getting a 4th. I haven't seen the ARC-170 yet, but I plan on getting one now and hopefully a second on clearance later.

Re: ARC-170 -- Clone Wars Deco / ARC-170 Battle Pa

I have no idea whether I'll get this or not.

I sold my ROTS 170 because I didn't have any room and I needed the money for a bunch of figures (always a priority for me). Now I want the ship back, but I'm really not crazy about this deco.

I guess I won't know until I'm actually confronted with one in the store.

Picked up the ARC-170 and a BP, not overly thrilled with them, but the figures will look nice with the CW Gunship.

Well... despite my bias for all things Star Wars-related that fly I'm going to stick with my "clean" non-CW ARC-170. I picked it up *very* early on and like the idea of having that "new" look

I spotted one at Target the other night, but no battle pack. I like it but...its just another product for Hasbro to milk. Passed!

Re: ARC-170 -- Clone Wars Deco / ARC-170 Battle Pa

Got my ARC-170 Fighter along with 2 Battle Packs today. Decided to use 2 pilots in this ship and 2 in the CW Gunship with a Clone Trooper from the battle pack doubling as the ARC Gunner. The other battle pack clones are hanging out with the ARC Troopers in the CW Gunship.

Overall it is a nice ship but utterly passable if you already own the ROTS ARC fighter and the CW Gunship. This is a classic case of Hasbro milking a cool design, lets just hope they don't do a V-Wing repaint in this deco!

I agree with it's passability. Someone said it before - having this just takes away from the uniqueness of the gunship (which I love). I was tempted seeing this in the store on multiple occasions but ultimately I won't miss not having this vehicle.
The only Target exclusives I picked up were the TIE Bomber and Hoth pack...the rest just didn't feel worthwhile.

I was the one who said that about it taking the uniqueness from the gunship, in about 4 different posts. and I was not gointg to get this. But then I got it for Christmas

I begged for the TIE Bomber, begged, and pleaded, and alas, I got the ARC-170. SO it isnt' in my focus, and I don't like it as much as my other ships, but honestly, it was a gift from someone who really tried to get something nice for me, and I did enjoy putting it together, and though I don't agree with the milking of the shark design, it does look great next to the gunship. So all in all, I wished I had gotten the TIE Bomber, and I'm going to leave for Target in a few minutes to see if they have any left, but I like the ARC-170 because it's new, and it was a gift from someone who loves me, so I'm cool

Yeah, getting it as a gift is fine, its the thought that counts! I can't bring myself to ever sell or retire figures and such that people bought me as gifts...it just doesn't feel right.

I think I MIGHT be tempted to get the ship if I find it on a great clearance deal.
