Looks like episode 13 really WAS the setup for an Ahsoka show, as many predicted! Personally, I hope Sabine will also be in it, and it will pick up where Rebels left off, with them searching for Thrawn AND Ezra! And yes, I would love to see all of the Rebels characters appear at some point in that series! Get Temura Morrison to pull double-duty, and appear as Rex, even if it's just in one episode!

I am definitely intrigued to see this show. Rosario converted me. Both to her acting — and the character. Honestly? Eh... I was luke warm on both prior to seeing her in action. But this skeptic? Was impressed. Very. So — Bravo, Rosario. Bravo.

Thought she was good as a cameo in 'The Mandalorian' and Dawson did well with a character I never cared for. But a whole show? No thanks.

Ashoka served her purpose in The Mandalorian and her 1 episode appearance was perfect. I really hope she doesn’t appear again this season

Where is the Mon Mothma series? Where is the series about the Emperor's advisors? Where is the series about R5-D4's time on Tatooine?

I mean.. I actually like Ahsoka, but her own series? Why?
If the series is good, great!
But I fear it will just become watered down like most of the other series they've announced.
I will stand corrected if proven wrong.

Ahsoka ended up being a great character in Clone Wars and Rebels but for me her character should have ended in S2 of rebels. It was the perfect finale. I’ll be skipping this one but pleased for those who wanted it that they’re getting more Ahsoka content.

Glad this rumor came to fruition. I would be totally happy with a live action continuation of Rebels! Plus we pretty know for a fact that Thrawn will be in it.

The Thrawn namedrop in Mandalorian Chapter 13 gave me Avengers post-credits Thanos scene vibes. The Favreau influence is strong, with what KK said in her presentation today about Ahsoka, Rangers, and Mandalorian all leading towards an epic conclusion. MCU-style worldbuilding.

You joke, but I’d so watch that...

Yes, and I sincerely wish that all they've announced will aid to bringing SW back to what it used to be, pre 2012,
but I also don't hold much hope for that to happen.

Realistically some of it will be ok to good, maybe even somewhat great, but it's also potentially very 2016-2020 from where I sit.

This is the Ahsoka series logo. Is it supposed to be a galactic map or the world between worlds?

I'm hoping for the world between worlds because I want the Sequel Trilogy set aside.

"Oh, those events are what would have happened if Ahsoka and friends hadn't stopped them by using the world between worlds. They still exist in an alternate reality, but this continuity is on a different path now."

Ahsoka, she was a good sidekick in the ‘Clone Wars’, a great guest star in both ‘Rebels & ‘The Mandalorian’. But I don’t know about Ahsoka as a Main Character would work even if Rosario Dawson carry on playing her, unless she has a great supporting cast backing her up like Temura Morrison as Rex.

Looking forward to this one more than the other shows, any chance at getting more Thrawn and I'm in! Ahsoka is nice too though.

Just seems like a typical "Jedi Holocron" graphic. Even the language is the same.

I mean this one was a no brainer, right? In some ways, I really felt her Mando episode was a pseudo-backdoor pilot for her own series. But to me, what really have that away most was that Thrawn name drop. I just think Mando isn't going to go into Thrawn, it just seems too much. I could be very wrong...but leaning toward no.

I've been open about NOT being a fan of this character on CW, but I've also been open about confessing I only really knew her from season one and maybe a bit of season two of CW before I lost interest. APPARENTLY she gets far better.

So my sheer enjoyment of her in Mando shocked me. I'd been dreading it...and then it came and I thought she was great! So count me onboard.

As far as that episode being a test for both Rosario and the character... both passed with flying colors. Especially Rosario who I must admit I am simply not that familiar with her other roles. And the character is not one high on my list either... but the episode kinda hooked me.

Likewise. Like I said, I was DREADING Ahsoka on the show. Then it came...and I've never been more surprised. I thought, at best, I'd accept it. I walked away LOVING it!

I’m really excited about this one! I think it’s a perfect opportunity for Disney to explain what’s been going on with her since the fall of the Jedi. How has she been hiding? How come Yoda/Obi-Wan and then later Luke couldn’t detect her? Or maybe they did? It seems like a way to fill in the gaps.

Not sure how reliable this site is but it appears as if Thrawn had been cast. Makes much more sense than RDJ. That was a ridiculous rumor.

That would be fantastic news if it's the case. Another instance of the voice actor playing the live action actor.

Lars would be a good choice as he obviously knows the character already. He's a tall dude as well which might give him some presence.

RDJ is a dumb choice. Some of the other rumors would be cool, but also felt a little unobtainable. This really would be the best choice, he has the combination of look, history, talent and maintains some internal continuity the same way Bo Katan does.

I have no vested interest in lars just because he voiced the Animated character, so if true this tells me we're likely getting Filoni's Thrawn from Rebel more than from the recent Books. Which saddens me a little, I liked Rebels Thrawn but the book version seemed a bit closer to the real Thrawn I knew growing up. But since this is the Ahsoka show it makes sense that it's his version of Thrawn, and totally expect this to essentially be Rebels S6.

I now believe we will never get a proper Thrawn movie if it was ever a possibility.

I never believed the RDJ rumor, just doesn't seem a match for his personality for starters. Not to mention with his salary a Streaming show wouldn't be able to afford him as a central character. There would have to be serious restructuring of what he gets.

A bit of a rumor so far but I heard that Mena Massoud is being considered for the role of Ezra Bridger in the Ahsoka series, since he's already in the Disney family I feel it's 75% possible. He looks the part and did okay in Aladdin so he might work as that character, an older version of Ezra.

Any rate it's good to see more movement on this if indeed it's true, though depending on the story elements we're still waiting on Hera, Sabine, and Zeb? And of course Thrawn announcements.

I'm sorry, but I still think that Ahsoka's continued presence is both her creator refusing to let go of his brain child and Disney's refusal to let go of a cash cow...she should have been killed by Vader in Rebels, it further cements him as a tragic figure and her purpose as a character was complete.

Time travel...I mean...COME ON. The problem with the plethora of animated cartoon mediums is that we keep straying further and further into comic book super hero land. Time traveling Jedi, lightspeed trips taking a matter of seconds (when R2 flies all the way to Coruscant to get Anakin and Mace help), a dude being cut in half HIGH UP somehow surviving without replacing half of his internal organs (Maul). I'm afraid of how ridiculous it's going to keep getting.

For an order that was hunted down and destroyed to the brink of extinction, more and more Jedi keep popping up as survivors in recent years.

Makes sense to me being as we on Earth have extinct species, or thought to have been long gone somehow making a comeback.
As Malcom said, life finds a way.

I'm sorry, but I still think that Ahsoka's continued presence is because she is a damn good character that has been well written with a true character arc both her creator refusing to let go of his brain child and Disney's refusal to let go of a cash cow...she should have been killed by Vader in Rebels, it further cements him as a tragic figure and her purpose as a character was complete.

Fixed that...

Disagree on "dammed good character". I found her obnoxious from the start and, while she grew up, she never grew on me. Still have issues with the whole "let's give a 14 year old command of a squadron" thing, and even more so the "I know she got them all killed, but let's keep putting her in charge of troops" thing. I know some people argue that this child soldier angle is an indicator of how far the Jedi had strayed, but that's just typical retcon fan justification.

I'll grant you she had an arc. Which the time traveling salvation also cheapens

So it's okay to send a 14 year old off to battle in a war but not okay give them command of a unit? gottcha. ;)

I'm genuinely curious to know what's hard to believe about a 14 year old who's been trained since a very young age though? You have to remember that this 14 year old isn't from Earth nor was she just plucked out of high school at random to do something beyond her skillset. Granted the Jedi weren't soldiers or trained for actual Warfare but they spend years training to hone their skills and talents for eventual confrontations.

And if it's the age factor that bugs you just look at how early the Spartans trained their young, or the Samurai for that matter. Our ancient history alone is filled with cultures that trained their children for war at early ages, so it's not totally beyond belief even if this show is based in Fantasy.

So, she’s precocious! And she’s been trained! And also she’s red with head tails and can move **** with her mind! Every time I come down to these show discussion threads I run into the argument that the story doesn’t make sense; maybe that’s why it’s worth telling—because it’s not your everyday fare.

Having children fight for war and putting them in command of war are two different things

Again, I'm just saying she's not my cup of coffee...I'm not saying she should be retconned. I just think her time travel survival cheapened the whole thing...her story, and Anakin's
