According to Robotkingdom.com we'll be seeing a reissue of the Vintage Line Ahsoka Tano in the exclusive Walmart line.

Any thoughts on this? Good choice to reissue?

I do thinks it a good idea. Though I do like the vintage style cardback but that is not going to happen. Hasbro needs to rerelease Shea Vizla and Tarkin as well.

Well.... Since I already have her, I'm in no hurry for reissue. But as scarce as she was, and the Money she is going for on ebay. It makes sense. Also, she is not likely one that will pegwarm like other will. At least now I can buy an extra for a reasonable price for fodder.

Shea Vizla I could live w/o, already have a few.

I'll pick up a couple for custom parts. (He said, as if he will actually find this wave in stores...)

I already got her on ebay last year loose and complete with two lightsabers. I'll take a look.

Reissue? Meh, I saw the name and was hoping for an articulated Rebels version. On the other hand this is good for all those who missed it the first time, just like I missed out on Lando.

Just wondering though how come all the repacks all of a sudden in this line? No new ones at all? They still need a regular TFA Han and even the new Rogue movie isn't getting a single SA figure in this line? Starting to worry about this line.

The first wave of the TBS 3.75 Walmart figures were all repacks. I wouldn't let this be the reason to worry abut the line.

Also this is normal with transitioning from set to set in figure series. They always have the molds of older figures they can quickly put together to sell for a quick buck while they produce new molds for new figures. Happened in the Saga, 30th, Legacy and Vintage line.

Only this time the repacks are better choices?
Yeah, there is always going to be repacks. It just depends on the figure choices they go with, that can cause issues. I know it can be a difficult task for Hasbro, because retailers want bankable heroes that people know an will sell. Unfortunately 90% of us already have plenty of those figures. So the sit.
Even if, like they say, a new fan is born every minute. The likelihood of them wanting characters from the OT, I believe is waning as we are getting movies mad in their era. They are probably wanting Rebels or current Movie characters. So Hasbro is going to have to be careful going forward I think, with regard to the old ways of repacks.

But those were different times. There was 3 years between movies, and the needed something to put in stores in the meantime. Now there is no gap, only the one Hasbro purposely makes.

Fair enough. But then we're still only getting 3 figures at a time. Which means the next wave whether they're repacks or not probably won't be out until next year!

Great news, but it's not going to impact the price the VC Ahsokas are going for as it's not on a VC card. I wish it was! People who are retrospectively collecting the VC figures like me are still gonna be paying the same for this figure on the VC card a year from now regardless of how many of these are released.

I agree. The Vintage line cardbacks look great in my opinion. I keep things carded so the boring black box just doesn't work for me.

The VC cardbacks will still be expensive, but at least the LOOSE Ashokas should go down, as it should be. I look forward to picking this one up.

Already have this figure. A realist 3.75 Rebels style I think is more in demand. They could just scale down the 6 inch version, pity.

I agree TVC cards look amazing. However, the prices of TVC mint on card are quite expensive. I would much rather pay TBS 3.75" retail prices for these exact same figures - even if the card isn't the impressive.

Well, I went into Walmart today and they had three each of Ashoka, Ackbar, Royal guard and Lando. I took an Ashoka to the register and it rang up "restricted item". I wasn't allowed to buy it! Arrr!

For openers, this wave is absolutely awesome! Although if Hasbro would have given us the Echo Base Officer or Ponda Baba or even the Rebel Fleet Trooper instead of Lando and Ackbar, it would have been truly amazing.

I picked up a couple Ahsokas last night. I missed this figure on the TVC cards. Being a pretty big Ahsoka fan I was glad they rereleased it. I did a head swap with the Rebels Ahsoka . I like it even more now. But keeping one in package as is....

It was a perfect snap on...no modding needed.

I like it!
Though technically speaking, that head sculpt is too old for that outfit. ;)

Can't wait to see side-by-side comparisons of Ahsoka, ERG, Ackbar and Lando. I aim to pick up a couple of ERGs and probably one of each of the others.

Nice pick up Shero!!

I stopped by a local Wal-Mart on my way home from work tonight and was pleasantly surprised to find one Ahsoka left. Since I missed out on her previous release, I'm happy to have this one.

After studying the picture, it seems that the head on the loose figure has a younger-looking face, but longer montrals (which I would think would indicate greater age). The boxed figure has an older-looking face, but shorter montrals. I suppose it's a difference between animated and realistic styles, but it does seem contradictory.

At any rate, I do like this figure and was happy to find one this time around.

WOW! Terrific! I had the same thought to do that, as I really, really like the head from the Rebels figure, but dislike the lack of articulation. (And the black series head kinda stinks.)

So glad to see it works! Now I'll have to consider this very cool (but pricey) option.

Just a heads up... After I brought Ahsoka into a better light. The rebels head has a lightly lighter shade of orange than the black series body....it doesn't bother me. But I know some people get worked up over things. Lol. But I'm happy with the results.

I was just gonna post on here that I had done this head swap cause I hate the VC head but I'm glad someone beat me to it. And yeah the orange is lighter on the 5POA figure but its close enough for me too.

Yeah, that Pumpkin Head from the TVC/BS Ahsoka looks terrible. Just too round, like she should be on a Charlie Brown episode.

Good Grief.

Well, yeah, I figured it wouldn't be an exact match. But lighting issues or not, it's certainly close enough for me and the end results are spiffy. Super glad to hear about the head compatibility, which can so often sink good customs.

Is this the same as the TVC release? I actually managed to get one of those, so I passed her when I finally saw the TBS release.

I felt like it was a good reissue. I needed the figure.

The paint is a little off but it was getting touched up either way.

I love the figure. And it makes a great scene set up next to Anakin with a sunset.

And I know she'll get a Rebels version too eventually. That one will be neat to have too.

And they should eventually do an Evolutions pack of the three main versions for people who missed out or want duplicates. :{D
