Please use this thread to discuss the newly packaged Ahsoka Tano figure. This figure was released previously in the Black Series line red packaging but will be seeing a return in the new 2020 packaging.

Anyone picking up this release?

My Amazon order for this just shipped - will be here Saturday

A little strange that Hasbro returned to plastic windows on the top of the Black Series boxes after abandoning them once for ease of production purposes, and then vowing to reduce their plastic usage in packaging.

Especially since their statement a while back about eventually no longer using plastics in packaging. I mean without clear plastic I don't really know how you would package them.

I really don't ge the angle package either though, shaving that off could save about a 1'X8" worth of material.

I wanna see some side by sides with the original releases. From first looks Ahsoka doesn’t seem to be that big of an upgrade. The new boxes look nice imo

Really like the new boxes, take up less width and have a story to tell on each side...well done Hasbro

I didn't either, but a video review of these new releases (sorry, can't remember which one) made a good point: with one side angled with the art on it, you can see everything on a row of pegs in the store without having to awkwardly lean in and flip through them. Would need to see them lined up to see if that actually works, but it's pretty smart if it did.

Now we just need stores to stock enough of the figures for there to be pegs full of them to browse...

Looks wise it almost identical beyond the updated face deco. That has been the case with all the re-releases and Archive figures so no surprise there. I can say that the plastic used on the lightsaber hilts on this one seem a bit harder and the plastic on the head tails or whatever they are seem a bit more pliable. I'm not currently home so I can't compare to the original release right now but based off memory the materials seem altered for the better. I could be completely wrong though.

Why do her lightsabers looks blue-ish in the new release?

Again based on memory they are the same color.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I saw some side by side Ezra shots and the face print looked slightly different and some of the colors in his jumpsuit were slightly different. I like to see what updated paints they use. Often they differ slightly. IG88 archive was lighter as was the yellow on Bossk.

The old one has very gummy knee joints which cause my copy to topple over every now and then. I wonder if that issue has been rectified with the re-release.

After comparing the 2 figures (original vs. re-release) they are basically the same construction wise. I was not correct about the head tails and lightsaber hilts - they are essentially identical to the original release. I think MAYBE the knee joints are a bit sturdier but it could just be my copy of the figure. The somewhat floppy nature of the shoulders/elbows/ankles still persists.

The head deco is phenomenal on this re-release.

Did anyone else do the pre-order of the whole set of these through Gamestop? Mine just arrived but it was missing Ahsoka and Kanan. Only the 5 figures I got were listed on the packing slip. Is it possible those two are still coming? I thought the preorder was for all seven figures.

It is. Ahsoka and Kanan are scheduled for next month. Everyone got shorted those figures for now

I got Ahsoka, Zeb, and Sabine so far from Amazon. None of the others yet.

Does this Ahsoka reissue have the same problem as the original release where the head won’t move? On the original release they pay nets the ball peg and many of the figures had the paint dry onto the socket of the head when it was assembled so the head wouldn’t turn.

Anyone else see this hot toys photo and instantly decide to make/buy a white hooded cloak for Gandalf, uh Ahsoka the white? I’ve already decided on a leftover Bandai model kit base covered with sand and cast clone troop helmets on posts for a mini diorama. Such an amazing image and powerful moment in the show.

After seeing that look appear in both shows, I have to think that version is on Hasbro's radar. perhaps even if she appears in Mando in that same attire as well. Though it's likely they would just reuse the Walmart figure and add a white cloak, it would still be nice nonetheless.

I would kind of like to see it made for both TVC and TBS lines.

As for the Hot Toys figures, it's very nice looking but I'm just not into those types of collectibles as much.

Got my Ahsoka in the mail from GameStop today and I am happy to report that her head moves correctly on her neck right out of the box unlike my original release. Unfortunately mine already has some paint wear / sloppy paint on the white paint above one of her eyes. It’s not terrible, but it will bug me.

Just waiting on Kanan to ship next week from my GameStop bundle.

So, I've been trying to get the Rebels Ahsoka for a while and my Best Buy order finally said she was ready for pickup. I went over to curbside pickup and waited 45 minutes and had to go into the store twice to get any status update.

Turns out that my item never was available. It was never in store at all. Best Buy blamed new employees for not knowing how to use the system. Had to get a refund and get them to re-order the product, this time for delivery on 12/9, hopefully.

Another disaster with store orders. 3 in 3 days. Walmart, Target and Best Buy, all have screwed up badly for me. Its too hard sometimes.
