A new Amazon exclu is on the way from season 7 of The Clone Wars featuring Ahsoka, R7-A7, CH-33P and RG-G1:

Will you be purchasing this pack?

Question, is this a 4-pk w/Ahsoka or just a Droids 3-pk? I read elsewhere that it was a 4-pk.
If it's just three Droids I am interested but it will depend on the price. More than $50, nope. $45, maybe. I only really want the short one with the antenna, but depending how the R4 turns out I might be convinced purely for the design aspect.

Frankly speaking I'd have much rather gotten some from previous seasons of TCW, as well as a Gascon figure. i still feel this entertainment is dated and a head scratcher when we just saw several Droids appear in three recent D+ Shows.

Gosh, I really don't need another TCW Ahsoka. lol
It would be nice if it has a new head sculpt to match her appearance in the Ahsoka flashback, but not likely as this seems 100% reuse. If indeed the Droids are BAD or based on the R2-SHW mold.

if it's an all new sculpt, great! Maybe.

This set came out of nowhere. Not happy about getting another Ahsoka, but more astromechs is fun.

If they’re using an old sculpt, please, please, please use the BAD sculpt and not the TVC 25 sculpt.

Although, maybe the R2 we’re getting is going to be new and Hasbro wants to get the most out of the new tooling. Who knows.

As I said in the general thread, Cheep and GG will require new heads/domes.

If they want to look accurate to the animation, then they'll probably also need to utilize the Clone Wars droid molds for R7 and GG. That mold also has a grappling hook feature, which GG did use in the last ep.

And Cheep should have one (preferably, two) detachable arms.

If Hasbro had announced this last year, I'd be all over this release. But I already made customs for all three droids. So, Hasbro's extremely long time-lag on this cost them a sale. 🤷‍♂️

If they're animated style, I have zero interest. I don't really want the Ahsoka, but I understand why they put her in, sort of, a 3 pack would have been better :)

Then I'll just wait it out like I did the OWK 3-pk for $21. Astromech Droids just aren't worth $17 a pop to me being at the maximum of 6POA and half the size of a regular figure.

Just seems like another repack / repaint grab to me, considering the Ahsoka and R7-A7 will likely be repacked, and the other droids will be new domes on old BAD bodies.

Dang. I forgot about that r7 was released in the celebrate the saga packs

Wouldn't this be around $60? That's how much the other TVC 4 packs are

My take: this came out of nowhere. I'll be all over it. A bunch of droids is just fun, Ashoka repack I don't need but will still pose with them aside.

If they treat this like the other four packs then it will be weird having all these CW Astromechs on TVC cards. Cool, but weird.

Look sir. Droids!

It's kind of funny that these Droids will be on cards. Curious to see the artwork.

I'm curious is it's basically a reissue of VC202 or will they try to do something different thus needing a new number?
What's really weird is that this figure is already three years old yet it feels like just yesterday that it was released! lol
Maybe it's because of the pegwarming and discount sales that make me think this reissue wasn't warranted, and perhaps it should have been another Droid or Captain Vaughn.

Ahsoka is the main character anchor and probably what got Amazon to bite on it. But I agree. Ahsoka repack burnout is real. Bring on the "white" version from Peridia.

Her head looks a little younger in that pic, but that's probably my eyes playing tricks on me.

Yeah, retailers are totally unaware of how popular random Droids are so they still feel a well-known character is needed for this type of thing. Sadly..
Heck if I had my wish we'd get an 8pk of Droids! What caused the EE 6pl to flop was Hasbro's blunder in using the wrong mold, otherwise I guarantee that had they used the BAD mold it wouldn't have been so poorly received. I myself would have bought several sets just for custom fodder alone!

Hmm, the striping on GG looks just a smidge too thin, and it doesn’t look like she’ll have the grappling hook feature (as they’re not using the CW droid mold).

Kinda annoying that they gave Cheep the unarticulated new Chopper arm. 😒 (EDIT: And just one arm to boot!)

Definitely see a few minor paint apps missing or wrong. But nothing earth-shattering.

That price though. 🫤

That's unfortunate, if this change warrants a new number, simply because it'll be another wasted "number slot" IMO. Should have just been a reissue so that when we get the eventual 2-pk with Anakin (TCW Flashback) from Ahsoka they can use a different number. lol

I'm still on the fence with this set because of the fact I already have two of these, Ahsoka and R7. And I don't see/feel the need to pay $16.25 for them all over again when I paid less for their original release. And TBH the other two aren't exactly that enticing as I'm simply not a fan of the Chopper mold for "other" Droids, to me he's unique. The fourth one is okay if a bit scene specific, but to me isn't worth paying $65 to get it.

This is a definite wait and see how low it goes item.

I support new droids. So, I am leaning toward pre-ordering one for MOC purposes, and then play the waiting game on a second for loose purposes.

What’s sad is that I probably paid a little more than this asking price (US$16.25 x 3 droids) to get my three custom droids’ parts.

And mine have more play features and included parts than these! 😵‍💫

That price though. 🫤

Four figures for $65 compared to the Sabine and Chopper 2-pack for $50 should seem like a bargain! And it is still cheaper (barely) than 4 figures at $17 each. ;)

Anyways, I am totally down for these droids and will gladly pick up this set, as it was one of the best things from the reveals at last months live stream.

Just understand that I made customs of these droids awhile back, so that’s where a lot of my perspective and commentary on these is coming from.

I’m an okay customizer, but I’d hope that Hasbro’s offerings would be little bit better than mine. Especially for the price they’re asking.

I’m happy they took the chance on releasing these droids, and if I didn’t already have them, I’d probably be down for a set. But there’s little things they should have added, for the pricing they’re asking.

I support new droids.
I try to whenever possible as I am a big Droid fan, but I don't buy them "all" just because they're Droids. They need to fit my collection somehow or make sense to me, as well as be a design/deco that appeals to me. Sadly, this set only offers two "new" ones at $65 and they're not even based on models I really like, as I've said before the Chopper mold and R4 domes aren't my thing. I have a few R4 Droids from the OT but not all of them, and as odd as it sounds, I'd like one of those oldies updated. But overall they're just not me top pick, this one especially with the "taller" dome. The deco isn't exactly screaming out to me either as it wouldn't lend well to customization.

That said, I appreciate the attempt and that Hasbro actually a committed to some Astro Droids for once.
The only really appealing part of this whole set is the dome on Cheep, if I ever get one I'll swap it over to the gray and yellow BAD body.

It’s not a bad set (I do like it), but I feel like I’m once again having to justify the cost compared to the offering.

The droids are cool, but another Ahsoka (Siege of Mandalore) really weighs down the set, especially for the initial asking price of $65. I get that Ahsoka was probably the drawing point for Amazon and the price is reflective of the cost of 4 basic figures. However, with that Ahsoka repack is feels like paying over $20 for three droids (which are smaller than most basic figures).

Oof. Like if they even just gave her an animated face sculpt id have probably gone for it. I really miss the animated likenesses though I'm pretty sure I'm alone in that
