Admiral Ackbar & First Order Officer

Glad we're finally getting an Ackbar but wish it was from Return of the Jedi. Still, I'll be picking it up.
 
Can't wait to purchase Admiral Ackbar, I wish it was a ROTJ version but this will do for now.
 
Can anyone tell if the FO officer is the same figure as Finn in disguise just with a different head?
 
Well this just shot to the top of my want list. Like others I wish it was a ROTJ Ackbar. I don't really want a First Order officer, but there's no way I'm passing on Ackbar, regardless of which version he is.
 
very excited for Akbar, i hope there will be plenty of these on the shelves tonight.

At least this means a ROTJ Ackbar is not too far off.

Very nice surprise to get this one.
They easily could've revealed this one sooner, but it's nice to have a few extra things to be excited about!
 
Yakface was hinting about a 2-pack 2 pack at TRU. This might be it. I will have to see this in person if I want it or not.

I think so. It was reported that TRU would have a 2-pk for FFII, and now these pics prove what the 2-pk is. But I think there's still confusion on wave 2, and the Snoke set still too so...
 
How the #$%& did we get a Ackbar from The Last Jedi before Return of the Jedi???

It's a trap!
 
Two questions:
1) Has Ackbar ever shot a blaster in his life?
2) What do these two figures have in common to make them a two-pack?
 
Maybe they are in TLJ and Ackbar shoots him? Or they made them and said we will just give TRU an exclusive. I have no idea.
 
Don't forget we got a Resistance Poe / First Order Riot Control 2-pack last year. There's a good chance the characters are unrelated and/or never appear together.
 
Well, now I have something ELSE to have to try for tonight, as if there wasn't enough already!

Looks like Ackbar is breaking into a Disney song, kind of like what Tim Rose did in "Classic Creatures, Return Of The Jedi." :D
 
There weren't any of these at my local Toys R Us tonight. I believe this and all the deluxe figures (the ones with the bases) are coming out later. No stores had their respective exclusives.

The toysrus.ca listing is a preorder with a release date of november 1st
 
I think was able to order the two-pack on TRU.ca
It says it ships in November and they didn't like my Quebec address (perhaps some bull***** language laws stuff) but it seemed to finally work and I got confirmation.
 
Are they going to call this set "It's a TRU-ap"?

I'm a little surprised that the first version of Ackbar we get in the 6" Black Series would be from the Sequel Trilogy. But I think the First Order Officer as a companion piece is pretty cool.
