I am trying to figure out which of these to buy, I am only collecting the regular versions and really only want to get one of each character's sabers unless there is significant difference between one movie and another. This said, is there really much difference between the AOTC Dooku and the ROTS Tyranus sabers?

Just the neck in the middle where the saber bends. The AOTC is matte gray and the ROTS is polished up like the rest of the saber. I'd go for the ROTS if I had to make a chioce.

I'd say get the Tyrannus ROTS too... but mostly because the Count Dooku AOTC versions are almost impossible to find. Also, you can probably find the ROTS for about 20$ and the AOTC will probably cost you over $45.

Actually I just got the AOTC version today (got one on Ebay for 25$ shipped!) in the mail and the truth is I only tracked one down because I wanted to get all the "regular" edition minis.

Thanks to both for the advice. I will actively look for the ROTS saber, but if I come across the AOTC sooner for a good price I might go for it!

I am limiting these so much that I am not getting the ROTS Anakin or ESB Luke since they are both so similar to the ANH Luke that I already have, and I am not getting the ANH Vader as I already have the ESB.

This means I still need to get my hands on a Mace, ROTJ Luke, Sidious, Yoda, AOTC Anakin, Darth Maul Double Bladed, and one or the other Dooku/Tyranus.

I got my .33 scale Stormtrooper Blaster yesterday. Real nice piece, but I'm wondering why it's the black chrome version? I didn't order that and it never said that's what I would be getting. Anyone else gotten their's yet? I looked at it quite a bit and I'm quite sure it has the exact same look to it as the .45 scale SWS.com Exclusive Anakin saber and the .45 scale Best Buy Exclusive Darth Sidious saber. The regular version should be a flat black color, not this shiny chrome.

Sounds like you got the Variant Dark Chrome version. It's more rare than the gold version I believe.

"2 chase versions randomly distributed: 1 version with a black chrome plated finish and 1 version featuring a gold plated scope."

AFBB means "As First Built By"

Namely that the saber is pristine as though Obi-Wan has just built it. Therefore....no weathering or other marks on the hilt

Ok, now I officially have every .45 scaled Lightsaber currently released (not including variants which I'm not collecting). I thought I would wait to pick up the Battle Damaged Darth Maul .45 scaled lightsaber. I guess I alwyas considered that particular saber the "ugly step-child" *LOL*

So now I haven it and I got it really, really, really cheap...$5.95, shipped.

Someone actually listed it as "buy it now" on eBay for .99 cents plus $4.95(S+H).

I guess my patience paid off and on another note I alos have the Han Solo .33 scaled blaster on it's way. I got that one for $13.00 plus $14.00(S+H), so $27.00 total ain't half bad.

I have them all as well, including the chromes both smoked and silver as well as the CS versions. Never got into chasing the golds though.

Just wish MR would hurry and start this mini saber line up again. Last I remember we got to see the Qui Gon mini and heard of a Vader ROTJ mini, but nothing since then right?

C'mon MR I miss adding to my .45 saber collection.

I've already lost interest in the minis. I already had some, but wasn't actively collecting. A couple of months ago, someone here had a sale for everything at wholesale, so I picked the rest up. They're neat and all, but it didn't take me long at all to just feel "meh" about them. But hey, that's no first for me. I'll just put them away, maybe my interest will come back down the road.

Actually I almost consider the Count Dooku and Darth Tyranus almost the same, besides the elbow on the Dooku being plain and unpolished, it can almost be considered a variant *L*

. Besides that it cost an arm, leg and a kidney to get. *L* on top of that it such a small detail, I don't think anyone would have noticed unless people pointed it out.

But maybe later down the road maybe...just maybe I'll pony up and pay the arm, leg and kidney. So in my book I have all the ones I want that are currently released.
