3 little helmet sculpts ... Stormy, Vader & Fett

I decided to open up a new thread for these 3 new *head* sculpts ...

And again I hope you'll all enjoy the pics

Let's start with Helmet no.1 ...

- the classic flat lensed ANH Stunt Stormtrooper

I'm planning on also doing an ESB Stunt Trooper paint
Version of this - will post pics when I got around to it.

Re: three little helmet sculpts ...

Next up is my ANH Version Helmet sculpt of Darth Vader

Did a few custom mods to the body as well, but it's really
about the helmet, so ...

I had a bit of fun with another casting of this Helmet and
did a few small alterations to Dome and mask to also create
an ESB Version of Vaders Helmet ...

Eh, 2 question. How much for 1 of each? And how did you apply the blue pinstripes on the cheek of the stormie helmet, were they decals or hand painted?

Excellent job on the helmet sculpts! I especially like the paint apps for the Jango, and Boba helmets. Are you planning to add swivel range fires?

Amazing how pin-headed the Hasbro helmets look after you've seen proper-scaled helmets on those bodies.

Sorry, but same as with the 5 Headsculpts I did before,
castings of these Helmets are not for sale. The Helmets
are completely handpainted - no decals.

Thanks a lot
- I won't do the swivel Rangefinders, as
I only display them - that and technical smallscale stuff
like this stuff drives me nuts

Thanks a lot
- actually I think the Stormtrooper Helmet
turned out a tad too big, but I personally rather prefer a
bit larger heads and Helmets on figures than too small ones.

... I'm really sorry, dude, but you know the reasons ...
If somebody knows Mr. DePriests Postal Address shoot me a
PM with it so I can send him a set. All I found was his
Office PO Box address, and I just won't shipp to a stupid
PO Box ...

Would you be willing to make and sell painted samples of these? Because I would be interested in both of the Fetts. Great work.

That Fett helmet is unspeakably good. It's a real crime you can't sell these, but I remember the deal and I understand.

Hey no fair, you just took pictures of life-size screen used helmets and photoshopped them on Hasbro bodies.
Tsk! The nerve...

oh wait...

EXCEPTIONAL work! The huge difference those resculpted Fett helmets made on the overall appearance of the figures especially wowed me.

Beautiful, stunning work! From sculpt to paint, these are perfect. Bravo.

I'm assuming you can't sell them because of who you work/ once worked for?

Re: three little helmet sculpts ...

Sorry but I am now going to burn all my Stormtrooper, Vader and Fett figures, because they will never look this good.

Seriously, these are absolutely superb. Can't decide which is my favourite, so I'll probably just go with the Stormie. But they are all brilliant, skillful work!

The Fetts are my favourite followed by a close second with the stormtrooper .

I cannot believe how accurate the details are. And you actually managed to capture how scary Vader's mask looks in the movie.

I know! So many people in the regular figure threads just go "Eh, it looks fine to me." BAH!

Evergrey, these are amazing. I wish Hasbro would get a clue and redo their helmets to match these (in scale, that is; obviously I don't want 'em to just swipe yours. They should do all the work YOU did to make these!)

Re: three little helmet sculpts ...

These are EXCEPTIONAL.

Thanks for posting the comparison shot cause it surly shows the pinhead look and shortcomings of the Hasbro sculpts.

Hasbro has been brainwashing us to buying inferior helmet sculpts that it's become acceptable for many collectors.

The stark contrast of what is and what it should be is demonstrated with your comparison pictures.

great work

No words can describe how I feel about your work. Now that you have posted these pics, and and have built yourself a team of followers and fans, we must know what needs to be done to get these for our figures. My collection is very dear to me, but now they will be covered with dust because they are now-not pleasing to the eye. I know there are rules, but I have seen some awsome third-party products that blow Hasbro away. The difference is I don't care for Transformers anymore so I have no need for those products. But you my friend, you are the miracle that Star Wars Fans have been waiting for and it would be shameful if your talants are not shared with us. Just my Two cents, that's all.
By the way, thank you.

In light of the recent team up with HT SSC, maybe this is a good time for some talented customizer team ups!!

Now that's an idea!

Thank you - very kind of you.
Well, the sad thing is that Hasbro would actually just have
to stretch out their hands and they'd get all those for free
to use on their future Production figures ... but as for now
it appears as if they think they don't really need them ...

... for now ^^ ...

Thanks a lot, and yes - that is pretty much the main reason.
That and that in my job I just can't risk to sell pirate
stuff ... don't wanna end up like Andrew Ainsworth ^^

get just one of those Helmets ... *snicker* ...

Thanks a ton
- the Vader is actually also my favourite,
and it took the longest to get it *right* in that small tiny
scale (still not perfect though) ...

No, since I actually think that Hasbros TIE-Pilot and AT-AT
Driver Helmets are really good (the latest ones) - I just
sculpt the stuff that I'm not quite happy with, so it's not
that I have to re-do everything Hasbro already did. I'm just
a collector with a real obsession for good likenesses.

Oh - I DO want them to just use mine - that's one of the
reasons I took the time to sculpt them - same as the 5 Heads
from the other Thread, all Hasbro would have to do is to
tell me where to send the samples, and they could use them
completely for free - I don't want anything for it, as long
as I and all you other collectors would finally get some
nice looking figures in the end ... but it seems they aren't
interested ... or they still haven't noticed ... I don't know ...
