This bust should be subtitled "Crushing the rebellion with One swift stroke." Fist= Crushing, Index finger= One swift stroke. They probably wanted something that shows Tarkin being a little more aggressive, since the original has him in a more passive state. Not that Tarkin is a very aggressive character.

They’re keeping the fist huh ? What a shame. They should just hire you, Light
Thank you, but I think their love for me does not reach that far LOL

As you have so eloquently explained, this is THEIR interpretation of Tarkin, and not how most collectors have suggested they would want him to be posed. They know better. Us? We just give them our money, or we can take a hike as sometimes they've suggested. Happy for the folks that don't mind the pose. Me? I'm happy with the original/first one. :)

Me too. I just hope the Ponda Baba bust does have some changes made to it, because that's the one I'm really interested in.
Me too. I actuallY renewed my membership for the McQuarrie Sandtrooper and Ponda Baba. Ponda Baba is the only one I preordered as my gift. I did not order Tarkin.

If they got rid of the stupid fist it would be an easy buy for me but as they haven't it's a very easy pass.
Exactly. I don't mind having two Tarkin mini busts in my collection if the pose was changed. Otherwise, I'm happy with the first one.

Totally with you guys on Ponda Baba. That’s the piece I’m most interested in them getting right. I’m also content with the original Tarkin. Not a character worth double dipping on IMO as he’s a one trick pony.

Awesome ! Don’t think the sculptor of these two designs is an actual fan. Any fan of Star Wars would know that those poses make no sense.

I just want to add, for the sake of being honest and clarifying any doubts, the picture above is simple satirical approach to the poses given to these characters. It's my way of telling GG : "C'mon, guys. We know you can do better than that. Most people don't like these poses" :)

I guess Walrusman is John McEnroe then haha.

Think they need to consult some fans before deciding on final poses. It would probably actually help their sales numbers. Most people here would probably have bought both of these if the poses were better.

Haha! That's right. Remember him? He was always throwing a fit on the tennis court. Great player, though. Walrus McEnroe LOL

I agree. It'd be nice if to some degree we would be consulted. Pretty much what I would call "being in touch" with what people want. Personally I'm getting Walrus Man because he is a character from the iconic Cantina scene that I've always wanted. The arm stump however doesn't do it for me, not because I don't think it is a great option to display him with, but because it looks quite silly posed that way having his other arm/hand pointing. So he'll be displayed with his blaster. Tarkin is one I haven't ordered precisely because of the clenched fist.

Yeah , Walrus Man is probably the best bet out of these two choices.

They need to consult fans before deciding on characters to make. There was no need for another Tarkin bust. The first one is perfect and readily available (for cheap) on the second hand market.

I agree, Tarkin with the clenched fist out front is all wrong. I agree with the sentiment that it should be behind his back.

Everything is fine but the clenched fist. Coloring doesn't really cut it for me.... unless they give him his tennis racket JMHO, of course. :)
