Re: 2006 Titanium Series 3.75\" Forged figures

yea...cool figure...but not worth $15!

$5 more I can get a die cast Xwing....thats what I want!

not a $15 3,3/4" metal figure....it probably won't even be hard to find for that price!

Re: 2006 Titanium Series 3.75\" Forged figures

i don't understand why they it calls them "forged"???
are they like bootlegs or something?? i didn't think wal-mart would carry bootleg merchandise, even though Kathy Lee Gifford's clothes line was made in Filipino sweat shops.
this whole thing seems weird to me. i'm gonna have to pass on these.

Ouch! I must've missed the $15 price tag. I'll have to see them in person before I decide if they're cool enough for that price.

$9.99 is the best price point for these. I'm going to be pretty selective with these if they're $15. i doubt I'll pick up the Fett.

Are these going to have any moving parts? It doesn't look like it, but I think that would be cool.

Re: 2006 Titanium Series 3.75\" Forged figures

Not interested in this line at all.

At one point i was interested in the Action Fleet line, but i quit after the ships were dumbed and sized down and they reduced and finally took away the minifigs.

Luckily i only have 6 of them. If they didn't pull this BS, i probably would've bought way more.

I might be interessted in one or two peices if that's all they make. I'm taking the wait and see aproach before I can make an opinion on the line.

Wow, I missed the $15 price point too. I will definitely pick and choose with this line if any at all. In theory this might have been a good idea but it don't see this line lasting that long...

Re: 2006 Titanium Series 3.75\" Forged figures

Here's what I find interesting. Straight from today's SDCC edition of Question Mark:

Quote:
1
Is Hasbro in fact changing the Unleashed line, and if so why such a drastic change in size? Is there any chance we’ll see some ‘special’ old style 7” figures released for fans of that scale?

A
change is coming for a number of reasons, some having to do with price point issues at retail, more will be revealed as Hasbro outlines their plans for 2006 during Friday’s panel. While there are no plans for more 7” Unleashed figures beyond what’s been announced, Hasbro would not rule out the possibility of more at some point in the future.

[/QUOTE]

If the 7" Unleashed line is being pulled because of price point, how can they justify replacing it with a $15 die-cast Titanium series figure at 3.75" scale? Are those cheaper to produce than the plastic 7" figs?

I'm sure that the lack of support from Wal-Mart had a hand in the demise of Unleashed, but Target, TRU and K-Mart still seemed to be supporting it.

Since WM has the Titanium series now, and a 3.75" figure, if boxed, can be shoved into shelf space below the figure pegs they might like it better. But that's a pretty terrible reason to drop a pretty successful line like Unleashed.

It all just sounds like a lot of smoke and mirrors...

maybe, possibly a 2 inch boba fett unleashed

but don't count on it....think about it...this is the same price point as the unleashed...and hasbro thinks its too much?

I'd rather have a 7" unleashed for $15 then these tiny die cast figures!

I think they are pretty cool looking. But to take over the Unleashed is just absurd, especially at $15.

I'm in love with all of the titaniums, so i'll be buying everything: forged, ultra, minis, worlds, etc.

Re: 2006 Titanium Series 3.75\" Forged figures

Yeah I think this thing looks pretty nice. The $15 price doesn't seem that unreasonable to me. People are willing to pay that for the exclusive Target figures, so why not for a nicely sculpted, die-cast metal figure? Plus, today's Question Mark suggest that the figures will have some articulation. Before now I assumed they were basically statues.

Re: 2006 Titanium Series 3.75\" Forged figures

from what i've deduced, the ones slated for production are the ones that have been made unleashed, so I've assumed they'll be 3.75" metal unleashed figures, which will gain my undying love.

$15? Things made of metal may have been the "hip" thing in the 5th century, but not anymore. Pass.

Re: 2006 Titanium Series 3.75\" Forged figures

Well the blending of my two favorite lines (unleashed and titanium) is worth $15. I'd even pay 20 (5 for the titanium, 15 for the unleashed).

I don't think it's a bad thing to see some die cast figures mad, Boba looks neat but frankly these aren't going to be cheap here so I'll pass and stick with the normal basic figures

As Boba Fett is my favorite character and I feel inclined to buy every Fett do-dad released I'll take it!

Re: 2006 Titanium Series 3.75\" Forged figures

According to this page it looks like we should be getting:

Darth Vader
Boba Fett (w/ removable helmet)
Bossk
Sandtrooper
IG-88
Clone Trooper
BG Cylon Warrior
General Grievous
C-3PO

I guess we'll be able to pit General Grievous vs. a BG Cylon

Re: 2006 Titanium Series 3.75\" Forged figures

good god i didnt know that cost that much.

but whats with this?
star wars Titanium forged 3.75" figures
BG Cylon Warrior.
what is that? is that the battlestar galactica cylon centurions?
like the old silver ones? i havent seen the new BSG so i dont know what those look like.
and if it is them then why are they in here?
maybe i could get some black hole droids also because they were the only cool thing in that movie.

Those look so awesome, and I like the soft goods on Vader! I'm definitely psyched for these things.
