That's pretty impressive! I wonder why it was dead before they even hauled it up? I can't imagine a shark carcass that heavy would just be floating beneath the surface.

If a beast like that gets caught up in nets then its likely that it cant support its own weight in the water and drowns. Could be wrong on that tho. Shame really as its a beautiful example of shark.

From what I understand their wieght is so great that their internal structure cannot support when they're out of the water. I would assume this also might play out the same way if they're in different depths of water.

Personally, I think the shark should go to a museum.

So, you didn't realize there were two Mexican fisherman running a 22ft, 75hp fishing boat in your pants? Or did you know that there were two Mexican fisherman in your pants, but you just didn't realize that they were fishing?

Does the Sea of Cortez fit in your pants? You must have trouble dating.

That shark didn't go quietly - look at all the damage near its mouth - must have really struggled until it couldn't swim any more.
