12" Jumbo Vintage Han Solo in Stormtrooper Disguise

PGM's 2021/22 year gift selection for Jumbo line is a vintage figure that was never made. The Han Solo in Stormtrooper disguise.

Call me weird, but I think they should complete the actual vintage run before doing figures that were never offered in the original vintage line.

Regardless, here it is.

Many, many others I’d rather see before this. Wouldn’t be so bad if we were getting 8+ per year and this among them but I’m dying for a dignitary, Death Star gunner, or ANY imperials.

This is my number one want in the Jumbo line and I never thought they would make it. Hopefully it's on a full sized card and not one of those bubble only examples. That would be a monumental waste.

I agree, no small card. They should use the same image on the card back that Hasbro used in the Vintage Collection figure IMO

When I first read about this I thought they were doing the fruit loops mailaway Han Trooper. I agree I'd rather see jumbo figures that were actually released but glad they're doing something with the line.

Do these sculpts like, is there any chance these also end up getting made as Hasbro retro-style figures too? Or is that kind of totally separate? I don't do the jumbos, but I preordered the mcquarrie vader cause I love mcquarrie stuff, but would definitely get that one and this han trooper if they were made in 3.75

Probably. Although Hasbro is now doing retro versions of current media (The Mandalorian) so it will take a while for them to get to a figure like this Stormie Han.

Hasbro already released a 5POA Luke Stormtrooper about 4-5 years ago that fits nicely with the retros. Not in vintage card back though. See picture in link. Top row, Luke is on the far right. All on that row on top of the cabinets are retros. The ones inside the cabinet are true Kenner vintage

Yeah, that was the issue and discussed when the Luke Stormie jumbo cam out as well a few years ago.

Only thing I don't really like with the Mando figure is, apropos to the vintage line, he really can't hold his rifle. I would have preferred they spend the extra $5 and also give us his pistol.

I really don't like how the cape sits on the 3 3/4"figure but it seems to work much better on the 12" for some reason.

The Han is still available, if you login you can see it listed on the Premier Guild Gift page.

They haven't announced the 2022 gifts yet so I think you might be mistaken about a new Gift Jumbo. If you're thinking about the Luke concept jumbo then that's just a regular product, not an exclusive gift product.

Oops! My bad. I saw the Lando General PG gift thread at the top and for some reason thought it was a new offering. Now I went back and see that the thread was started in 2020.

Okay, thanks. I cant see what you see since apparently my membership ended before the year was up. So when I log in, I'm not considered in the PG anymore. I didnt realize if you buy a membership in December, you only get it until July. Seems unfair that I didnt get a full 365 days of membership for my money (which was offered as a ONE YEAR membership). Also it looks like the Gold membership is no longer even offered and now they call the tiers Master and Apprentice.

It's only available directly through GG as one of the selection choices for being a premier guild member. I don't know if it can still be ordered as it was the gift selection for 2021 memberships, although it hasn't shipped yet. It's due to ship in the next couple of months so you will probably have a chance to pick it up on the secondary market but It'll probably be expensive then!

Hopefully someone else who is still a Premier Guild member can see the back end and let us know if you can still get one. I let my membership lapse because I rarely buy anything from them.

Particularly galling with the Han Stormtrooper figure which will simply use the existing Luke Stormtrooper body and the existing Han Solo head, plus the existing Luke Stormtrooper clamshell. All they had to do was use everything already available and print a new cardback.

I get there's been international shipping and manufacturing delays beyond their control, but still, 2 years is ridiculous.

This is likely to be my second last Jumbo I purchase, and the last one direct from them.
