This looks great! I wish they would keep the real or animated style consistent across the busts though. Realistic Kanan and Sabine will look out of place with animated Hera and Chopper. Although I guess with the options for Kanan's visor and Sabine's helmet it is less of a contrast. Hoping that the inevitable Ezra and Zeb busts are in animated style.

These two look great! I'll get them eventually, but everything is a pre-order with GG these days. I'd really like to use that in-stock PGM coupon at some point.

Certainly they will get around to doing animated-style busts of all the Rebels main cast, and hopefully we'll get realistic versions of all as well. But I would bet we see the animated cast completed before the realistic style.

To me, the most important aspect of this duo is that they're finally taking a shot at doing an astromech in mini bust form. In my mind, I would always compare R2-D2 to Yoda, and thinking that if the Yoda mini bust starts at his waist, surely they could do an astromech and start at that point. I would have expected to see a little more of the droid than what they did here with Chopper, but I guess maybe Chopper is a bit shorter than R2? I agree with the comment that Chopper works because of those arms. If/when they do R2, they're going to have to work in a bit more of the torso so that we can have some action/gadgets...or they could just do a working periscope.

I personally find this line of busts a little awkwardly posed. I'm not a fan of busts in general, but at least the 1:6 mini busts flow into the base. I really don't like how the mini-mini busts are propped up on a tiny column.

Aside from that, it does look good and I'm amused that they gave the absolute bare minimum amount of Chopper.

I have the larger Hera bust but I still pre-ordered this since there's not much Hera merchandise in general. I'd like to see her get a Legends in 3D bust, though.

I agree that Hera needs a Legends in 3D bust ! The 1/7 scale bases look much better in hand imo. Don't skip them just because of the different base style.

Slim chance but is anyone interested in just Hera and not Chopper? I'm good with my realistic Hera mini bust but really want Chopper.

If you bought the set, I can’t imagine you’d have any difficulty selling just Hera.

So they can make an astromech droid bust but not an R2 bust which is essential to the line up of characters? ...so stupid. It's ridiculous and frustrating and needs to be remedied immediately.

It's been almost 20 years now...I don't think we're ever getting an R2 bust...

I ordered this through my LCS rather than directly from GG and it—allegedly—will be ready for pickup this Friday. Stay tuned…!

Thanks for the heads up!

Have no idea what is happening with Wrecker, all these busts coming out before him and going up for order way after him.

300/3000. Hera’s head broke off inside the box but it will be a clean glue fix. Compares to Mail and Thrawn, Hera’s paint apps leave a bit to be desired—but Chopper is magnificent. He’s bigger than I expected! Worth noting is that Hera’s base has what i assume to be paint touch ups (you can kinda see them in the photo). All-in-all, excited to add her to the Rebels shelf.

Might grab this one just for Chopper to display with the realistic style crew. Anyone interested in just Hera?

Can't figure out how some people would praise broken, badly painted sculpts instead of asking for a refund or exchange and letting DST know they keep offering collectibles with cosmetic issues. And my comment is not meant as an attack at any specific collector, it is an analogy based in the general attitude of some collectors, as I've seen this happening all over Facebook groups. As long as we put our head down, downplay issues and/or result to fix ourselves broken stuff we receive, stuff we paid good money for, DST/GG will continue not caring because they figure people are OK with it. In the end, we're only going to get what we deserve.

It's called Adaptability, Sith. When we are too adaptable, we are actually adjusting to things that maybe we shouldn’t be adjusting to. Should we adapt to bad relationships, bad working conditions, toxic environments, mediocre sculpts and their cosmetic issues? I don’t think so, but it can be easy to do. “ it's okay. It’s fine.” Why is it okay to just be fine with something which does not show the quality it claims to have? What’s wrong with demanding quality for something for which we pay a good amount of money?

Ask yourself this question, “What am I tolerating in collecting these things, and what’s it costing me to do so?” What am I losing out on? If this relationship between the maker and me as a collector continues as is, what will it cost me in the long run? What will I be giving up if I stay adaptable? It is obvious we are giving up on quality, giving up on our money's worth AND adapting to a product that more than once shows noticeable issues.

If you throw a frog into a pot of boiling water, (I’m not sure why you would ever do this but hear me out.) it will jump right out of the pot. However, if you put a frog into room temperature water and then slowly increase the water temperature to boiling, (Please don’t try this at home.) the frog will adapt and essentially stay until it dies. Personally, that is not where I want my collecting time to end, nor GG to go, hence why being critical demands from the maker to stop increasing the water temperature before it gets to a point where things get so bad we'll end up like the frog.

So basically besides the broken head, poor paint applications, glaringly obvious paint repairs made on the base, everything else is pretty okay lol

Whoa—I did not expect to come back to the forum after two weeks to find that I've been branded an enemy of the state!

I completely agree with Sith_Apprentice and Force Strong—especially in light of the obscene price hikes we're currently bearing witness. If I had bought this directly through GG/DST, I would have asked for a replacement—no question—but this time around I took a gamble and ordered this release through my LCS after Thrawn and Maul turned out well. After inspecting the two pieces when I finally received them and ultimately being happy with how they looked on my shelf alongside all of my other Rebels stuff, I opted to move on with my life and to not make a difficult situation for a small vendor that I value and respect.

Next time, though, I will—once again—resort to ordering directly from GG since I have no qualms about raising hell and giving them a hard time (about 13 of my purchases through them have involved replacements, haha). Either that or I simply won't be buying any other 1/7 animated busts thanks to price increases.
