    Faked early bird questions

I have been studying early bird kits with the links and the help from members here.

    Thanks for all the info.

My question is , are there repro trays and boxes. I know there are repro certificates and printed paperwork.

I want to buy ungraded so this is why I'm asking. I have seen sellers mark up or weather repros to make them look legit. I'm guessing they can so the same IF they have made repro trays and boxes.

I have a certificate with stand. I also have the figures, pegs and the insert catalog booklet already. I was hoping to find a tray and box. I have no problem with opened pieces. My plan is to display the set in the GW case. The other paperwork pieces show up from time to time.

I would like to know what to look for, just incase these are known to exist in repros

Thanks for your time and patience .

    Kevin

I am because there are those that employ unmitigated vitriol towards the PT/ST to mask their racism, sexism and predatory nature. There has been an awakening. Have you felt it?

I don't have one in question. I just wanted to know if these are made in repro. Can't imagine they haven't been reproduced in some form. Any high dollar star wars piece has been faked before. I know the certificates, inserts, stickers and stands have been remade . Just asking if the trays and boxes have been known to exist.

These trays and boxes can go for hundreds so I don't want to buy a fake one.

I have seen a fake box on ebay before but it wasn't close to what it should have looked like. I think you're safe if you buy from trusted sellers or find one that looks the same as what they look like in graded sets

Thanks. I have to blame you and your limelight for peeking my interest in this set. Yours was one of the first shown in a really nice limelight display that I have seen anyway

I have seen the set displayed loose in the GW cases. Still looks really good without the baggies. Maybe just a touch better.

Now I just need to find a tray and box. I'm on the hunt

Im willing to settle for a box and tray period. If it’s a decent one so be it

I know I would have to go really high for a nice set but nice enough is always good for me

Not many people kept the box or trays as kids so I know these will be tough. I would be happy with a torn box and cracked tray
