StarAlien70's customised 3.75" Splinter Of The Mind's Eye

I revisited the Luke Pilot custom I did a while ago and gave the parts a repaint (the original was painted with artist's acrylics, as I didn't have an orange bright enough in model acrylics at the time). For the repaint I used Revell Aqua Color Orange 36130 mixed with some Yellow 36115, then used Clear Matt over them. I also changed the arms on the 'Splinter Of The Mind's Eye' version. Here it is, now with a Princess Leia from the same.

Luke: Torso from TBS Luke Dagobah. Arms from Indiana Jones Mutt Williams. Head from TVC Luke Bespin. Upper leg section from Rebel Ground Crew. Lower legs from TLC Luke Snowspeeder. New waist overalls section made from a ROTS Deluxe Anakin-Vader cloak. Holster is cut from the TBS Luke Dagobah belt.

Leia: Head repainted and drilled out POTF2 Freeze Frame Leia. Upper torso from TBS Mara Jade. Lower torso modified from TVC Darth Maul. I cut up an earphone bud for the collar and to cover the waist section. Upper arms from Marvel Infinite Black Cat. Forearms and hands from TBS Mara Jade. Upper legs from TBS Luke Dagobah. Lower legs from TBS Toryn Farr. Belt modified from TBS Mara Jade with holster cut from SW Saga Lando 04/21.

Custom backpacks made from foamcore and card, with synthetic leather straps for Luke's.

The original version I did of Luke can be seen here: https://forum.rebelscum.com/showthre...1#post19611994

Amazing! I particularly love the drybrushing of Luke's hair- great color shade you achieved.
Please read my version of the Star Wars prequels and let me know what you think!

I just did a slight enhancement, the existing head was pretty good.

Those are some sweet customs. Too bad Hasbro didn't go into that area back in the hay day with the comic packs. I think you nailed it.

Thanks! Yeh, 'Splinter' should have been the first one they did, they could have done another 2-Pack with the outfits Luke & Leia wear later in the story too.

I wish you could make those for me or Hasbro would try making them. I bet if the sale hadn't happened when it did that Hasbro would have eventually made these.

They look gorgeous. I love that book too.

You should do a tutorial video sometime if you have the time. :{J
Disney? "Canon" you say? You must unlearn what you have learned...

    Thanks, glad you like them.
Ha, I always forget to take WIP photos as I go along, so I'd be terrible doing a video.

Love the parts usage, particularly the Black series Dagobah Luke. So much about that figure was disappointing, nice to see something done with that figure's bits.
