Elite Series PREMIUM Action Figures revealed (not Die Cast)

Rumors were there, as well as an anouncement in the Rogue 1 Elite Series leaflet - but now we have proof and official word:

    http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=950156948424305
    http://www.jeditemplearchives.com/co...icle&sid=18937

    The facts:
    - 12 inch
    - 32 points of articulation
    - exchangeable hands and accessories
    - NOT DieCast, but plastic
    - Rey and Kylo on Nov 15
    - Leia and Darth Vader on Nov 29

They look similar to the Ultimate Series from Marvel:

The price is rumoured to be 35 USD as well, but I could not find any proof on that.

    My opinion:
    - Placing them only slightly above the regular Elites would be an odd choice
    - I would not be surprised to see a higher price, similar to the Mezco figures
    - I do not see a competition to Hot Toys and other premium brands with prices >100 USD
    - I hope they do not let certain figures ONLY appear as Premium; the normal Elites need a Leia as well
    - FB shows rumors of a Disney-survey showing "kids not liking metal figures" - I hope that does not darken the future for the DieCast Elites...
    - JTA poses them as a threat to Hasbros 6" line, but from my understanding, they are 12"; to be honest, the normal Elite Series seems more of a threat to Hasbro, as they were clearly launched with the Black Series in mind

First pictures (not mine, it's from the wilderness of the internet):

Based solely on that Rey that looks absolutely nothing like Daisy Ridley, I can safely say I'll be passing on all unmasked characters, and will be very choosey about what masked figures I get, if any.
JTA: a wretched hive of scum and idiocy. You should be cautious.

I'd agree, but I would not do the final judgement based on this leaflet. Disneys product communication is sometimes strange - for the DieCast Elite, I saw promo shots which looked worse than the actual figure itself. Therefore, I'd still keep my hopes up that these look decent.

I hope they get a good likeness for the Leia. If they do, I'm sure there will be one or two more Leia dolls to come in the Princess line as well.
Loving Disney and all things Danish and Japanese!!!

Someone saw them in the wild and took some pics before they will go on sale:

As expected, especially Rey looks much better than in the promo shot. Hell, whoever takes those pictures for their official promo, and whoever does the flyers, should be fired. As said before, it is not the first time that the promo looks like crap while the products are nice. With other companies, it's mostly the other way around.

Back to the figs: for a (not yet confirmed) 35 USD pricetag, they seem quite okay.

I think Rey's headsculpt looks great and I love the accessories she comes with, but there is something very off about her outfit. I think it's a combination of the undershirt looking too big plus the crisscrossed chest wrappings looking too small. At first glance I honestly thought she was in her Resistance outfit, heh.

Probably pass on these two, but I'm really looking forward to Vader!

The figures look pretty nice but I think I'll pass on this series except for maybe an individual figure or two.

Both these figures will be great for kids in my opinion. I'll stick to the die-cast!

Might pick up Rey to try to display out of box and see how it looks.

Did anyone else pick these up today? I grabbed Rey, I'm not fussed about Kylo or Vader - I already have enough versions of both, however I am looking forward to see how Leia turns out. Rey will make a good display piece. Also these are around 10 inches - not 12 as previously stated.
