If only this was the line's regular retail price, we would hardly ever have to worry about product sitting around.
Pricepoint plays a critical role, get below $10 and sales increase. I agree, if this were the regular price, they wouldn't be so hard to move.

It's hard to see how this is unachievable when the line is composed of so many repacks from past lines. I see the 3.75" SA Marvel Legends go for about the same price so maybe this is just Hasbro's sweet spot. I'd like to know what Walmart pays them for each case of this "exclusive." I think if aggressive discounting occurred more frequently you wouldn't have so many Finns and Poes sitting around over a year after TFA came out.

I guess it is a good thing we aren't getting Droids and Ewoks in his line. lol

I'm fairly certain that part of the reason these are almost $13, is the fact that less are made. Increasing their production costs. Example: sometimes it's cheaper to buy 40,000 units than it is to buy 30,000. But since they don't buy in such high numbers anymore, it cost more to make these figures. Plus that costly packaging I never asked for. That, added to the cost of fair labor workers in the new world where everyone is worth $15 an hour minimum wage...
    And other factors I'm sure.

But somehow it's cheaper to make a figure that's almost twice in size and sell for $20-24. I'm really not sure how the math works out on that, but it's none of my business is it.

Hey fellow scummers, the price for the Death Trooper specialist is back down to $9.83 and is in stock.

If you bought recently contact customer care:
    https://help.walmart.com/app/ask

    Choose Topic: Shopping Walmart.com
What can we help with? Pricing and Promotions

check the Are you contacting us about a price match?
    And fill in your info.
You will chat with a representative and they will ask you to confirm your address

I am receiving $3 back per figure so getting $12 back.

Go before they sell out again because they cannot do it when they are out of stock. (I tried earlier when the were back in stock)
    Good luck!

This is a point that often gets lost in the discussion. I think this is also one of the reasons why they have been making a number of the figures in the same ratio (Lando, Ackbar, ERG, Ahsoka). If they make x number of units, they can do it for a specific price which fits into their budget. I don't think they've even thought about what they could charge if they made more or less units and opened this whole thing up to other retailers. I think the key for Hasbro is to produce something in the 3.75" SA range to keep long time collectors on board (buying other things in various ranges and keeping their kids in the game as well). They also want to keep competition away from the 6" line. I think a big part of this lines problem is that it was providing to much competition for the 6" line. I'm not saying it was selling better than the 6" line, but it was getting in the way of the 6" line, so Hasbro decided to make it a one-retailer exclusive.
#1 want: Admiral Piett (3.75" TVC line)

I'd like to exercise my right to free speech, but I really don't have anything to say at the moment.

That does bring up an interesting quandary. If the same figure wre made in both SA3.75'' and 6'' lines, which one would it be that gets purchased? I know in the case of certain figures it will always be the former, but in the case of a select few I'd still buy the 6" version alongside the SA3.75" one. For instance Rebels characters, I'd only buy SA 3.75" scale. But in the case of Revan I'd buy both scales, because I'm a big fan of that character.

As I'm sure other like minded Collectors would as well. So I don't see it as a loss to make both in some instances. But I also get that they don't want competition. lol

I initially thought the SA 3.75 figures were being produced in significantly smaller numbers, but then I look at all the pegwarmers. Some characters are carried forward, but they still pegwarm more than anything I've seen in the RO basic line. If their production numbers are so low compared to the main 3.75 line, we shouldn't be seeing this many pegwarmers, unless interest is dropping off even more...

Pretty sure that's it, I for one don't need all those repacks that are happening. For every person who does want them, there's another person who doesn't. The only people these repacks appeal to are the very few who missed it the first time. And if they're not army building material, they also don't do as well. Being produced in smaller numbers doesn't discount the fact more units of these certain figures are made.
The line as a whole is less, but it means that they have to make more figures of Jyn', Cassian, Poe, Finn etc. to fill the quota. So in stead of 500 units each of 12 figures, they have to make it 1,000 units each of 6 figures.
