Hello everyone!

Besides being a regular GG SW fan I also collect Bowen Designs minibusts and full size statues. I thought I would start up a post for all Bowenites who also visit RS.

I have been collecting for about 5 years know and my first bust was the Brown Wolverine. I'd say I have about 40 bowen minibusts (I kind of have lost track?) and currently I have two full size statues, (Phasing Vision and White Moon Knight) and a third, Classic Captain America, is on its way to me.

I don't know how many of us are SW and BD fans, but I thought I would start off a discussion.

I love me some Bowen busts. I met Randy in Chicago a few years ago (where I picked up a Chrome Silver Surfer mini bust and several AP's). He's a really great guy. Since then I purchased his personal Colossus mini bust AP. I try to only buy the X-men related stuff because otherwise I just couldn't afford any of my other hobbies.

Personally, I cannot wait for this new phase to start. Hopefully, it won't be the last one either. So many characters to do, Bowen could continue for many years to come.

I would enjoy some more sneak peeks of MBs!

I usually have to stick to the mini busts because of my other hobbies. Between MR, Bowen, comic art and toys I just can't afford the big stuff. But there are a few piece I would LOVE to have.

Jinxworld Forums seems to be the place for Randy right now. Here's a link for those of you who might not know about it.

Sorry to bump such an old thread but I thought I'd do it instead of making a new one. I just started a small Marvel collection and along with two GG busts I've picked up 3 Bowen pieces; A Hobgoblin bust, the Iceman (Ice-slide) statue which has become an instant favourite, and The Kingpin statue which has as much presence as any statue I own, a really impressive piece. :)

I've also pre-ordered this new Wolverine statue.

Bowen has produced some really nice looking product. I have only but one piece from this compnay, though. Nonetheless it is very dear to me because it was a present from my wife and from my favorite TV show of all times: The X Files. It is the the Cigarette Smoking Alien and cage:

I didn't realize Bowen did pieces outside of Marvel, I'm not familiar with the character as I stopped watching The X Files when Mulder was replaced by the T-1000, but that's a really unique statue LS.

This happened before Mulder was replaced. It was episode Jose Chung's From Outer Space and even had Jesse Ventura in it. Bowen also did statues of Flukeman, Mulder and Scully. Bowen even did a now very pricey Vader statue.

Nice to discover more X-filers here :) Yes, Bowen did all of those statues. Jose Chung's From Outer Space was a funny episode. It was a shame that line did not continue. I do have an 18" statue of the Alien from the first X-files movie but, I have it put away for so long I don't remember if it was Bowen that produced IT. Do any of you guys know the statue I'm talking about and know if Bowen was the maker?

Most of my collecting dollars in 2013 went to Bowen's Marvel line of products. Just great stuff!

Bowen also did the Superman statue that is in Jerry's apartment on Seinfeld.

^ I've always wondered about the origin of that statue.

And that was the only one produced, as far as I know. It was also "lost" after production stopped and Jerry doesn't even have it.

I've never actually seen that statue, I'll have to look it up.

Recently I added a Scorpion mini bust to my Bowen collection and I'm hoping they follow through and make this Shocker statue.

I just recently started collecting some of the Bowen Designs statues. I picked up the Original X-men Beast back in October and also bought the X-Factor Beast statue last week. They're based on the same sculpt, but they are both amazing.

I've been a fan of Hank McCoy for over 20 years now, but there were never any decent collectibles of him in his original human form. Until now at least.

Here's the Original X-Men version:
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c201/Barada73/IMG_8872_2.jpghttp://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c201/Barada73/IMG_8882_2.jpg

And the X-Factor version (I think I like this one a little bit better, but I'm not sure yet.):
http://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c201/Barada73/IMG_8921_2.jpghttp://i28.photobucket.com/albums/c201/Barada73/IMG_8920_2.jpg

There's supposed to be a third version of this statue, in his red and blue 1960s uniform; but no word on when, or if, that one will actually get released. It's a definite purchase for me if it does come out, though.

The cost of these guys makes it difficult to buy too many on my limited budget, but I do plan to get either Original X-Men Jean Grey or X-Factor Iceman next.

Looks amazing. I've always loved the human form of Beast. I'd love to pick these up I just don't have the space. I did pick up the Bowen Original X-men bust when they first came out. I'd love for them to do a X-factor version of those busts.

Since Beast is my favorite superhero, he's kind of going to be the centerpiece for any display that I have. I doubt I'll spend the money to complete both the original version and X-Factor version of the team, but I'll probably buy 2 or 3 of what I consider to be key characters from each version of the Original 5. I was introduced to the O5 through the pages of X-Factor and I've always had a soft-spot for those Walt Simonson designs, so that might be my priority in collecting these.

I just hope it doesn't take us another 25 years to get statues made of this version of the team:

So has there been any word at all on the third version of the Beast statue?

I love the two statues that I bought, but his 1960s red & blue costume is the one that I was actually looking forward to the most.

Well I got my Astonishing X-Men Wolverine statue today, it's a superb sculpt and I love this version of Wolverine's costume. Here's an awful pic I took of it next to my Bowen Iceman. :)

That's definitely an awesome Wolverine statue and that's probably my second favorite Wolverine costume (John Burns' brown-&-yellow Wolverine costume being my fav).

I am waiting for that red/blue Beast statue as well. Hopefully it's in the cards for the next phase.

I'm holding out hope that we'll see it announced sometime this year. Although, some rumormill stuff I've been reading seems to imply that there are some strange things going on at Bowen Designs and the future is a bit uncertain for now. Hopefully that's not true, because they do some amazing work.

Anyways, I almost won the X-Factor Jean Grey statue off of eBay over the weekend. I was the high bidder for about 4-5 days, but was outbid within the last few minutes of the auction. At 7 minutes left, I got a phone call and then came back to find the auction ended at only $2.50 over my max bid. I hate that. I don't mind losing by $10-$20, but anything less than $5 just feels like adding insult to injury. Ah well, I guess I'll do something boring and practical with that money… like pay my rent. :D
