I've recently created a new website and uploaded a ton of pictures of my Star Wars collection over the years. It's kind of cool to see all the different displays I've had. You'll be able to see it progress from a few shelves to entire rooms full of toys.

Scroll down the thread to see some pics.

I'm actually still working on the display room and I'll be posting more pictures of that soon, but in the meantime...let me know what you think.

Had a flick through your pictures, from a simple display to a really good collection! It looks incredible!

I really like seeing the steps in displaying stuff (I do the same too) and various colelcting habits and interests during the years (evolution of collecting SW stuff from action figs alone to other items)

I actually just found some even older pictures of my collection(before I opened all the toys). I was a carded collector back in the 90's and I had all my figures displayed in my office at work. Be sure to check out my website (http://www.josheee.com/photos.htm) for more of these pictures (including the Viper driving Ewok). http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Then I opened them and did this display:

Next was my first dedicated Star Wars Room

And an even bigger one after I moved yet again...

And finally....my newest display:

That's probably enough for today. You can see all these pictures and more if you want to check out my website. (http://www.josheee.com/photos.htm)

I'll be updating again sometime soon with pictures of the collection (which has improved even more since I took these pictures earlier this year).

Everything is protected by glass, that's excellent, not need for dusting each figure/bust. Aren't the Premium Format figures getting dusty?

They were, but I've moved them into some new (tall) glass cases that aren't pictured yet. I have actually completely changed this room since I took the pictures. Once I get the finishing touches on the new room (and this one) I'll be posting all new pictures.

If you're interested in seeing the new cases, I've got some pictures of them on my collecting blog here (http://www.josheee.com/starwarsblog/2007/05/moving-cases-in.html)

Nicely done. How big is the current room? Seems you had the most space available on this pic:

My current room is only half that size (when you count both the closets I used to have). It makes displaying the whole collection a challenge. You'll notice I have hardly any ships on display at all, because they're all in storage.

I'm in the process of converting another bedroom into a second Star Wars room....and when that's done I'll have about the same floor space (maybe a little more) as my last spot. Of course...I am also planning on sharing some of that space with my wife, who has a pretty impressive collection of toys herself.

Very cool collection...but I have a couple of questions...
1. How much did all those store display cabinets cost you???
2. Why do you have Unleashed figures in the display cases and the busts on a regular shelf...IMO it should be the other way...

Well anyways...I dig the collection and I love those C IV coins..I need to get those one of these years.

Answers:

1. I picked up all of those cabinets from the owner of a chain of cell phone stores that was going out of business. She sold them to me for less than 300 a pop because I bought a bunch.

2. Not pictured are 6 more cabinets I bought from a CompUSA that went out of business. They are taller...and were 200-400 bucks a pop. All of my GG stuff is now behind glass. I'll be taking new pictures of the new setup soon.
