OK so check it out. Every Garrison has to have troops, and the Cheesehead Garrison is no different. So now it's time to have ours.

This is a poll to name the Trooper for the Cheesehead Garrison. Depending on what is the winning name is. That will determine the story and background of the Trooper.

This is how the poll will work. There will be some options of the possible Trooper's name. Cheesehead Garrison members post your vote. By doing the polling this way. It keeps bogus voting from happening from a traditional click a button poll. Which everyone knows that online those are all tainted. Back to the rules. The voting will run for a week ending Friday September 21 11:59 p.m. There is a list of options to chose from and a write in option. At the end of the week. The top two from the list and the best write in option(if there is one). Will go to a second round of voting. Which will end the following Friday September 28th 11:59 p.m. Then the Troopers name will be reviled.

This poll is made to give the Cheesehead Garrison members the ability to determine the direction of how the group goes. Because as it was stated from the beginning that the CHG is of the fans and by the fans of Wisconsin.

Here are some pictures of our mystery Trooper.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v603/sm40fan/Cloneimage06.jpg

Here are the voting options and brief description. The full background and story will be developed once the name has been chosen.

1. Garrison Supply Trooper - Trooper who brings out supplies to the battle field
2. Multi-Environment Trooper - Trooper able to do battle in any environment on any planet
3. Public Service Announcement Trooper(PSA Trooper) - Trooper who is a propaganda tool for the empire. For example they would promote the Empire. By saying things like join the Empire it is good for you.
4. Cargo Hold Guard Trooper(CHG Trooper) - Troopers responsible for guarding supplies for the battle field troops.
5. Clone Cook - Trooper who works the kitchen for the troopers out in the field.
6. Write in suggestion for Cheesehead Garrison members if you have another name that works.

Please post in this thread. Once again this first round of voting ends next Friday September 21st 11:59 p.m.

More details about the mystery Trooper will be reviled once the voting is over and he has been named.

Thanks for participating and let the voting begin. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Here are my write-in votes:
Cheddar Trooper
Cheesetrooper
Dairy Supply Trooper

Otherwise, from your list, I guess I'd vote for Garrison Supply Trooper. I wasn't too fond of the other names... Personally, I'd rather have something that rings a bell, and has local ties...

I don't have a name right now, but I have an idea for the paint job of the clone. I would like to see him painted with cow spots. It would look like camouflage. Oh, just thought of a name. How about the Mozzarella Marines.

All in good fun, but I wouldn't want a name or trooper that looks too "cheesey"- though a green "GB" in Aurebesh might look good on the back of the helmet http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I went with the CHG acronym thing (Got hung up on Honor Guard)

Coruscant Honor Guard- High Level Core Planet Security
Command Honor Guard- Garisson of elite commanders
Senate Honor Guard- Part of the forces that disbanded the imperial senate at the Emperor's command

My Favorite is Coruscant Honor Guard

Great custom!
Okay here is my idea.

We are the 30th state admitted to the union.
The motto is forward.
How about:
The 30th Forward Battalion

This battalion is typically chosen to fight vanguard actions. They were the forward elements when an advance on the enemy absolutely had to succeed!

I also like:
Coruscant Honor Guard- High Level Core Planet Security
The deco is similar to the grey Coruscant clones.

OK the votes are in and the people have spoken.

Now for the final round of voting to name the Mystery Trooper for the Cheesehead Garrison.

After seeing the first round of voting. There will be a slight revision to the final round. There was only one vote from the original list and may write in votes. So instead of the top two from the list and one write in for the final. There will be the one(since that's all that made it) from the original list and there will be three write ins to vote for.

Here are the three options for CHG members in the final round. Once again this will run until Friday the 28th 11:59 p.m.

1. Garrison Supply Trooper - Trooper who brings out supplies to the battle field (from original list)

2. Coruscant Honor Guard (write in, we will probably go with Capitol Honor Guard on this one to avoid any trademarking issues. Plus the Galactic Capitol is Corusant. So it means the same thing and place. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif )

3. Cheddar Trooper(write in)

4. The 30th Forward Battalion (write in)

Thanks for everyone's votes and suggestions from the first round. So we will know the name of the Mystery Trooper next Saturday. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Now exercise your write to vote. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Cool. That's a good, diverse list of choices. I'm going to ponder it for a while before deciding my favorite, but I think the winner should be announced at our next meeting (which is only a little over 2 weeks away). It's just another reason to go to the next meeting! Be present for the unveiling of CHG's trooper, and possibly something to commemorate the event?!? http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think the name has to do something with cheese. We are the Cheesehead Garrison. I think all the other names are way too serious. If anybody thinks the cheese related names are not right, then what do you think about our actual name: CHEESEHEAD Garrison?

All right the people have spoken and their votes have been cast. After the second and final round of voting for Name the CHG Trooper poll. The totals are as follows.

The 30th Forward Battalion(write in) - 2 votes

Capital Honor Guard(write in) - 1 vote

Cheddar Trooper(write in) - 1 vote

Garrison Supply Trooper(original list) - 0 votes

So the mystery trooper is a mystery no more. He is officialy from the 30th Forward Battalion. Thanks to Hydrospanner for your write in. This is one of those things you can now put on your resume. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Thanks for everyone who participated in this poll. To help shape the direction of the CHG. This was a real fun poll to do.

This will all still work out. Trust in the Force. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

After all the name of our group is the Cheesehead Garrison and not the 30th Forward Batallion. Everything thus far has been sort of a teaser/trailor. It will all make sence once everything comes togeather. I realize this all sounds like I'm talking in code. That's becasue I am having to at this point. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I didn't remember seeing deadline dates, but they are clearly in the first post. Darn! This is what I was going to suggest, to make mostly everyone happy:
Commander Colby, a Cheddar Trooper in the 30th Forward Batallion! It combines:
a) similarity to the prequels (Commander Cody)
b) Wisconsin ties (Colby and Cheddar)
c) military ties (which has more subtle Wisconsin ties)

I was also hoping the winner would be announced at the next meeting, giving yet another reason to attend... Oh well...

As promised now for some more details on the 30th Forwad Battalion. Up to this point everyone has only seen the two diorama type pictures so far. Now behold our Trooper carded.

Carded front

Carded back

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v603/sm40fan/Cardedback.jpg

Here is the 30th Forward Battalions official cannon backstory/profile:

The 30th Battalion formed of the new Empire. This battalion is typically chosen to fight vanguard actions. They were the forward elements when an advance on the enemy absolutely had to succeed! They use their motto “Forward” as they go into battle. Due to their helmet’s unique yellow design, they earned their nickname and would ultimately be known as the Cheesehead Garrison.

Yes our official CHG Trooper has come to life. There has been a lot, and I mean a lot of work that has gone into bringing the 30th Forward Battalion to reality.

Now I'm sure the question has come up. How do I get one of those CHG Troopers? Those details will be posted soon. I will be out of town until next Monday night. So I will post more details at that time. Being an official member has it's perks. So stay tuned. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Here are the details on how you can have a chance to have a 30th Forward Battalion(CHG Trooper)of your very own.

At sometime during this Sunday's meeting at the Old County Buffet in Madison. There will be 5 of CHG Trooper raffled off. They are individually numbered 1 of 5, 2 of 5, etc. So each one will be it's own unique variant to who gets them.

To participate in this raffle at the next meeting. You will have to have you membership card. Because you will have to write down your membership number on a piece of paper. Then put it in a box that I will draw from. If I pull out your member number then you get an exclusive 30th Forward Battalion(CHG Trooper) from this meeting. It's that easy folks to have a CHG Trooper of your very own. So we hope to see everyone in Madison this weekend. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I'm sure some of you are thinking "Will the 30th Forward Battalion figure be available again in the future?" That is something I'm looking into. There are some details to figure out with that. I can't promise anything with that though. Just that I will looking into something's. But if they are offered again. There will be some differences to assure the exclusive ones from this Sunday will be unique to who gets them. It's the only way to make them a truly "exclusive" version. Just please take this part with a grain of salt as it could or could not happen. But with the CHG efforts will be made to do the right thing.

Frellin' Target keepin' me from the Cheesehead trooper... oh well LOL

Hey guys make sure ya take some pics!

By the way, I stopped at the Foamation factory last week and picked up about 5 little cheeseheads. I intended on them going on a helmet, but they're a bit big and a little thin, buuut... they were only 50cents, I had to ask if they had any smaller cheesehead wedges, these were meant for earrings that usually go for about 7 bucks so if you're looking for some little cheeseheads this is probably the cheapest option

I'm in the process of making up a helmet with the cheesehead on it, I'll post pics once its finished. Should be a simple process. Hopefully
