Why would you want to watch a sand vial? http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Cause it's from Tatooine, man!

I hear ya Jorbex. Those customs agents love their Star Wars paraphanelia!
I still haven't got my DVD. Hopefully tomorrow.

I got my DVD today too. Just finished watching the main feature. They did a great job! It was pretty amazing seeing the Norway footage.

I'm glad I have this as part of my Star Wars DVD collection.

Now you've got me all worried. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif Still, my "Number One Longing, Number Two Regret" DVD got here fine, and that came all the way from England!

I'm not sure the vial will make it through Australian customs, they have the toughest regulations in the world, especially when it comes to earthly materials like dirt, rocks, sand etc... Ah well we'll see, as long as the DVD makes it is the main thing. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well, I watched it. Pretty good DVD. The interviews were well done, and they really covered a lot of different areas of fans. The Norway stuff was the best part and could have easily been another DVD.

I got my copy today, and guess what? I'm on it! I didn't know they were going to show the Live Force Cast interview from CIV. If I'd known my ugly bald mug was going to be distributed all over the world, I would have tried to look a little more Billy Dee and a little less Jar Jar. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Haven't watched the whole DVD yet, but it looks good!

That's awesome Shua..I wondering if they got my kids running around trying to pickpocket Jason for his pins, lol.

Unfortunately I recieved an email saying that I didn't finish ordering...which is strange because paypal has a record of the transaction that went thru May 2...I'm hoping its just a mistake and i'll be getting it soon. I want my sand!

I got my DVD today! And my Tunisian sand vial! (That's one small vial, by the way). I was beggining to think it wasn't coming, regular mail is notoriously bad here in Mexico. Can't wait to watch it tonight!

Last night I got to attend the Red Carpet event in Woodridge and see the film on the big screen. It was really cool. The film does a good job showing all types of fans. I really enjoyed the parts in Tunisia and Norway. It was also fun to watch it with over 200 other fans and the Force-Cast crew - Jason, Pete and Jimmy were there! It was pretty cool meeting you guys!

Finally had a chance to watch this the other night and it was really good. I'm looking forward to going thru all the extras (didn't want to bore the wife with them http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif )
The only critique I have on the film is that I feel that each person should have been identified on screen, even if only by first name or net handle, and where they're from. I know TFAU crew went all over getting those interviews but it doesn't come across that way watching the film...Tunisia and Norway excepted of course! Had I not been familiar with Chris' voice from SW podcasts, I wouldn't have known him from anyone else.
And speaking of those places, someone should put out a DVD just of the SW filming location tours...I wonder who could do that? http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I went to the Red Carpet event last night and enjoyed every minute. It was great to see the film with 200+ other Star Wars fans. A few of the cast members were at the event and I was able to meet up with Jason, Pete and Jimmy Mac.

I was there too last night. I had a blast. The theater was really cool! (I had the Deliverance sandwich....oddly no pork in it. "squeal like a pig?" Get it?)

This was my first viewing of the movie and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It has such a nice balance of fans, from the obsessed collectors to the philosophical pundits. Fascinating stuff. The choice to end the film in Norway is excellent too, especially considering that for die-hard Star Wars fans, such a trip must be the ultimate submersion into the genre...something that may finally transcend the pursuit of those elusive collectibles and place the fan within a surreal realm wherein the film has truly taken over and become reality itself. Thematically, I put these sequences on par with the "Star Child" rebirth at the end of "2001". (think about it!) http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I got mine! No sand though...oh well.

The ForceCast feature was cool to re-live..that first shot you see my lovely wife walking across the room. She was totally excited about that.

Awesome movie, very well put together. It looks good with the rest of my collection.

I just sent away for my copy. I got to meet Cris at DragonCon in Atlanta. From the clips he showed us, it looks like it was done very professionally. Cris was very nice and open about the documentary. I hope the forcecast keeps in touch with him on this especially if he decides to do another.

Hey all, Jeff Roney here. I'm one of the guys that helps out with the Force Among Us - Live show. You Force Cast hosts, crew and listeners have always been so great to us, and we thank you so much! It also seems that many of you here have purchased, and now have seen TFAU for yourselves- well, we want to know what you think. Not just here in these great forums, but on The Force Among Us - Live. ::Big Intro Music::

::Cue Echo:: This Sunday, we will open the phone lines and let you the viewers tell us what you thought. Good or bad, we want to hear all the comments (Really, we do.) about TFAU. So, make plans to join us this Sunday! Set a reminder in whatever reminds you of stuff (Outlook, Cellphone, Significant other, Mother-in-Law, Nosy neighbor, Friend who owns a sky-writer plane, whatever).

This Sunday- 9/16/07, 1PM ET at http://show.tfau.net. I'm hoping Jason and Pete can join us. Maybe even, Jimmy Mac. Wow, what a show that would be!

Seriously, we want everyone one here who has purchased the DVD to join us Sunday, and tell us what you think. Maybe you can even loan your copy of TFAU to a semi-fan friend, make sure they watch it, then drag- I mean, ask them, to come on the show with you Sunday, and tell us what they think, too.

Anyway, you guys rock!
