Well, got a Darth Maul PF and was horrified to find it runs on batteries and not AC.

I spoke with a nice woman at the SS booth at comic con and asked her if all future PF's would run on batteries. She said she THINKS that SS is going to make future figures run on BOTH batteries and AC http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

But she wasn't sure http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif

This sucks because I plan to put my statues inside display cases. With AC power I can plug them into a power strip and with a flick of a switch they will all light up, safe and sound inside thier cases.

If they run on batteries I will have to remove the cover, turn on the figure and replace the cover. Then repeat to turn it off http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

If they can do both then great. But I'm not confident they can.

Is this a big issue for anyone else?

The older PFs (Obi Wan and Vader) utilize both AC and battery power, just as you have described. It works out quite well.

Really? Man, I feel stupid. I have both of those but I just opened them once to check them and they have been packed up ever since until I can get cases.

Ok, so SS can do both. Lets just hope they do.

Yeah, it is a little weird they had the adapter in the base of their proto, but didn't include it in the production. It was a let down, but I still bought it! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I personally don't use the adaptors in my PFs but it's always nice to have the option(especially if you want them in a display case).

I know I prefer battery. Nice to have a wireless set-up.

Allows for a cleaner look. In my set-up anyway.
