well, seeing as how they're not shipping yet, I can't see how there'd be any in the stockrooms.

it makes sense for special Joes to come out around July 4th!

4th of July - cool idea! Of course, that'd be the day they were finally available only to find the stores were closed for the holiday http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

At least with them showing up in Hong Kong that means we should see them within a month a kind of expected and there's not been some unusual production delay - let's just hope they arrive in volume and not a case trickling here and there like TAC 2 at first.

Sorry if this has been posted, but just found out what the second series of carded 25th Anniversary figs will be:

Serpentor
Cobra Trooper (not to be confused with Series 1 Cobra Officer)
Lady Jaye
Buzzer
Beachhead

There's also going to be a 25th anniversary themed set exclusive to the GI Joe Collectors Convention! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

If you look at the cardback from wave 1 it has greyed out characters on the back. They are the same poses as the 80's cardbacks. I found this out last week by looking at cardbacks. It took about an hour to figure them all out.

Pictures of the boxed box set are over at gijoeclub.com

I don't like the packaging. I want my 80's packaging. I'm stoked for the possibility of vehicles though.

BigDumbWookiee

I think the boxed sets, from the outside, are very reminiscent of the 80s. Not a carbon copy of anything from then, but it definitely has a flair for it. The carded figures are awesome though, definitely love the throwback design with them.

Sounds like PDaddy Destro is going to be exclusively con based till after the GI Joe Collectors convention, with no online sales till after then.

Not to sound too negative, but it means we're having the 25th anniversary... yet nothing happens in the first half of that year (I know we're pretty much there, now, but I held out hope) A July start to the anniversary figures? Way to drop the ball, Hasbro. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif Hopefully they at least ship them in great numbers right off the bat.

BBTS hadwave 2 cases for pre-order, and in the case of 8 you get all 5 wave 2 figures and repacks of Cobra Commander, Snake-Eyes and Stormshadow. They must REEEEEEEEEEEEEAALLY want those 3 figures to clog pegs since they are the double packs in wave 1. That's just stupid.

Fortunately, as these are showing up for retailers, we should all have a chsnce at the first ten in hand within a week or two. We don't know the release date to stores, unfortunately. And you're not going to find the DVDs, they've been out of print for a while since Rhino lost the license and seemed to have given up on actually releasing them all before they lost them.

The first carrying case was hard plastic, held 12 figures and their filecards and could be hung on a wall in the open position, THAT would make a great re-release.

Saw the Joes pack at my comic shop yesterday ($37.99, ouch! though regulars do get 20% off...), looked pretty cool! Scarlett looks to be excellent fodder for customs, most of the guys, too. Not crazy about the helmets on Duke & Roadblock, they seem too small, too close-fitting. But overall a good-lookin set. Loved hearing the theme, too.

I just got my sets from BBTS and all I can say is: WOW! Nicely done. They're not as rubbery as I thought they would be, they're sturdy and perfect "masterpiece" representations of those old Joes. I've only had time to open the good guys so far but it's great. The Cobra set looks out of this world.

Love that they included the original File Cards with the set. Very nice. I'll definitely be picking up the rest of this line and it's nice to hear it'll continue beyond these initial 25 figures. Here's hoping for some classic vehicles!

I'm a bit confused and I hope someone can clear this up for me:

I'm not in GIJOE, but I was when I was a kid! I've been looking at pics of the old & new figures out of nostalgic reasons, and that's when I stumbled on pics of the 25th anniversary figures.
The first ever figure I picked up as a kid was the white ninja "Storm Shadow", and with that mind-blowing version of the figure in the 25th anniversary series, I just have to pick this one up!

But I'm confused, as I thought they were out already and now I see that they are just released, and in box sets.
Is this really the first time these versions are released and will the figures be sold separetely as well?

Thanks for any info on this!

Man, between this thread and the new pictures on CTR, I'm getting even more excited for these. Went to TRU and Target tonight, but nothing there. Entered in the DPCIs at Target, just to be sure.

I heard on another board that Target has a big toy reset in a couple of weeks. I'm hoping this will bring the 25th Anniversary packs and singles, as well as the exclusive Spider-Man MiniMates.

2 five packs, and five single packs released so far. There are 10 more single carded figures coming to round out the 25 for the 25th Anniversary, and a new five pack is also coming to be kind of the start off to the line beyond the first 25.

Yep, the two five packs and the first five singles was what I meant.

Sooo, despite work getting done on my condo which screwed up UPS and made me go to their local distribution center, I did receive my first five carded set today.

These are truly great figures. My only gripe (aside from Flint not having gloves) is that BBTS' packaging in bubble wrap kind of warped the cards. I'm an opener, but otherwise it'd be an issue.

These look great, and I want to see Hasbro continue this line of single carded for a while. For those of you who don't order online, when you see these carded figures hanging on the pegs, it's going to bring back some GREAT memories.

Aha! Managed to find the single carded figures at (of all places) a crappy redone Kmart/Sears that has the worst toy aisle stock I've ever seen. Ironically, 6 single carded Joes were on the pegs! I nabbed the black timber Snake Eyes and Cobra Commander, although they still had a Cobra Officer, Flint and a couple of Storm Shadows left. Priced at 5.99 too, and since I don't know what the price is supposed to be set at normally I just assumed it was more than normal, but still...not a bad price compared to SW figs.

My only major complaint is that the characters cannot hold their guns properly because the fingers cannot fit into the trigger holes. It just looks so awkward.

Scarlett and Snake Eyes (both versions) are probably the most severe cases. It might be helped by freeing the index finger with an exacto knife, but I'm not inclined towards mutilating anything considering how scarce they are in my area now.

...and ball-hinged knees would have been nice for the male characters too.

Actually, my Snake Eyes holds his gun the best of all of them.

The easiest fix to this is to heat up the hands using a blow dryer or hot water, then make them "tighter" while they're hot, and finally rapidly cool them at your desired level of tightness with cold water. The hands are generally designed well for the scale but because they're rubbery, they're wildly inconsistent in their gripping ability. But this fix is easy.

If you just think it's weird to have the trigger guards above the hands, well, that's just GI Joe. Still, my only complaint with the figures is the rubbery hands.

Masume

I actually prefer the non ball hinged knee actually, it's an improvement really. You can actually get the legs folded together for a proper kneeling position, unlike the ball joints. Correct knee movement for the win!

I'm pretty sure it's 25 figs for the 25th anniversary. Two 5-Packs and 15 single carded figures in three waves. Not sure about specific figure lists, maybe they will annouce them at the Cons this year?

BigDumbWookiee
07-15-2007, 05:32 PM
There are 25 initial figures as part of the 25th anniversary, but this is the relaunch of the entire line (if these do well). As said about, 15 carded figures, 2 five packs. There is already an additional five pack confirmed too.

No pics are out of anything aside from available figures. Although, based on carbacks, Serpentor will be in the second series of 5 carded figures. I'd suggest going back and reading the thread, as you'll see lists of characters that folks have figured out, including the next ten carded figures (rounding out the full 15) and the next 5 pack.

my_kind_of_scum

Hasbro recently said (Ibelieve on the master collector website) that the next ten single card figures will be shown at comic-con as well as the next five pack (the first product past the original planned 25 - a 5 pack of cobra drivers/army builders supposedly). Now that I've found the first 15, I can't wait to see them.

Nerfherder

I opened all the single pack figures and I have to say I am generally impressed with them. I would have liked to have found the 5-packs first, because these first single-packs are all re-using molds from the 5-packs. Basically new head, new belt(s) on one of the 5-pack bodies.

I also like what they did with the cover-art. They took the same pose as the original, and modified it so the art matched exactly what the figure looks like now. Its something most people wouldnt notice at a glance.

Understood. But Major Bludd is more of an original 1982 character/figure than many of the supposed upcoming figures. Seriously, Beachhead, Buzzer, Shipwreck, Sei Tin/Red Ninja before Major Bludd???

Heck, he's even more classic and nostalgic than Serpentor (who many Joe fans hated when he was introduced back then).

I know they're spreading out across the years and not just limiting the selections on the 82-86 years but I'd love to see more earlier Joes as well. I would've thought Major Bludd would be included in the next big assortment somewhere. Still, Zartan (me wanty a swamp skier), Firefly and Stalker alone are pretty cool to get. I'm not complaining.

On the backs of the single cards, there are silhouettes of the next 2 waves. Since the artwork is 95% like the original cardbacks, people have matched up the silhouettes with the corresponding originals.

Sei Tin/Satan was a repaint of Storm Shadow which was released in Argentina. Read more about him here at the Yojoe.com website. (http://www.yojoe.com/action/int/argredcobra.shtml)

There are definite gaps in the "icon" figures that need to be filled:

-Sergeant Slaughter
-Major Bludd
-Grunt
-Rock N Roll
-Crimson Guard
-Crimson Twins (Tomax & Xamot)
-Hawk (1986 version)
-Cobra Commander (Battle Armor)

However, I think that Hasbro will have jumped the shark should they find themselves making guys like Crazylegs, Captain Grid-Iron, and the Overlord. I want more, but it also needs a cut-off point.

Antberu
07-17-2007, 02:22 AM
Sgt. Slaughter? That was Shark Jumper #1, followed closely by the Fridge. I'm glad to see them do the remake, but agree there needs to be a limit. Don't need a zillion Ninja's or Space Joes, that's what made the line lame to start. Cobra-la anyone?

Anyhow, I found the sets tonight at TRU, $29.99, single packs w/ the exception of Commander $5.99, not really in a central local, found them around the action figure aisles.

Nice figs, for those that haven't gotten them yet, be careful, these aren't the hard plastic joes of your youth. I dig the sculpts, but would have preferred something that doesn't feel like it's going to fall apart when you take it out of the package. That and the ball joint head limits some movement esp. on scarlett and storm shadow v2. Even still can't beat the price point and the nostalgia. Thanks Hasbro for putting them back out there, and keep the neon greens and yellows out of the line this time.

And I second that swamp skier... and multiple faces with Zartan this time, not just one.

p.s. Where did black Timber come from??? And where did I miss that Storm Shadow was a joe? I gave up around 90ish I guess. Is that comic stuff.

Storm Shadow as a Joe, 1988:

The 2005 ver. 23 Snake Eyes had a slightly darker grey Timber, but it looks like this is the first time he's shown up in black.

How did you guys figure out those later figures like Shipwreck? I hadn't seen anything about those until I read it here. The only one I scratch my head over is Sei Tin (I don't even know who he is--the only red ninja I know is Jinx).

Yes, I got in my single carded Joes last night and I saw that last row with the new silhouettes. I didn't know those things were there!

Now that I see who Sei Tinn is, I can't believe we're getting him.

It might not be Sei Tin. It could as easily be a Ninja Viper - http://www.yojoe.com/action/92/ninjaviper.shtml

Or it could be as simple as the multi-pack SS carded.

Hopefully we will know for sure at SDCC.

Looks like we may be getting Cobra Commander in armor this year. From the description for the 2nd Cobra 5 pack scheduled for October on BBTS -

Cobra Commander (Battle Dress): Cobra Commander’s battle armor allows him to mingle among the frontline troops, where he can hiss a sibilant order or call a retreat in person. The armor is air-conditioned and largely attack-resistant, the helmet geared with red-outs and a computer display. The armor itself includes an additional breathing hose and pack, and Cobra Commander is armed with a black pistol.

Of course, we might not see this 5 pack this year, or the description could be wrong, but I want to see this figure released and I'm sure we'll know more once the conventions kick in.

Sgt. Slaughter? That was Shark Jumper #1, followed closely by the Fridge. I'm glad to see them do the remake, but agree there needs to be a limit. Don't need a zillion Ninja's or Space Joes, that's what made the line lame to start. Cobra-la anyone?

Can't argue with that. Slaughter however, is quite synonymous with GI Joe. The shows opened with him, he was the "mascot" of the brand. I think he deserves a place among the icons in this series.

I thought the Sgt. Slaughter character was lame. When I think of GI Joe, I don't think of Sgt. Slaughter. I always thought Hasbro added him to the GI Joe line up simply because there was a period of time in the 80s when there was a huge wrestling craze and Hasbro wanted to cash in on the craze. I think of Sgt. Slaughter as a novelty character, not a real Joe. So I don't think he's an icon by any means.

Both are out of stock now. :-)

And I'm all for Sgt. Slaughter. Cheesy as he was, he was a big part of GI Joe lore. The guy came in and did his own voice many times, including the movie. It's not like Refrigerator Perry who, as far as I know, was just an action figure. Slaughter fit right in with GI Joe.

Plus, his tank was totally cool.

Exactly. There's no denying his chesiness, but he was all over the place in the GI Joe mythos. And he was prominently featured as a character on the show itself as well. That makes him as "real" as it gets.

I'm "old school" G.I. JOE: RAH. Which means, if the character wasn't one of the original 20 or so figures released or wasn't in issues #1-40 of the comic book it's not a classic RAH character in my book and is just one of the many cheesy contrived things Hasbro started pulling to sell more toys after the brand exploded in popularity.

I have to agree. He was released at mass market with his own cool vehicle (unlike other novelty figures like the Fridge). As a kid, I had never seen him wrestle so I had only "heard" he was a wrestler at that time. My point of reference for him was only GI Joe.

Still, I don't think he needs to be included in the 25th Anniversary relaunch. He may have been the Joe's drill instructor when I was kid, but now he absolutely is only an old-school wrestler. Then again, he's better than Sei Tinn. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Gotta agree there, but just about anything's better than the "Wha huh?!" choice of Sei Tinn. Well, maybe not Ninja Force Zartan... but any 82-87 character, perhaps. I'd rather have Flash or Breaker from the 82s, or Quick Kick, Dusty, Spirit, or one of the other big cartoon guys.

I don't think GI Joe ever jumped the shark. JTS signifies the point which something went from good to bad. OR in the case of The Fonz actually jumping the shark, The show was already in decline and the Jumping of the Shark was really a symbol of the fact that the show should've ended. With GI Joe it never really went from a distinct Point A to a point B. Every year had different themes and appealed to a different set of fans. I started collecting Joes in 87, so the neonization had already begun to occur and didn't matter one way or another to me. Most fans prefer the 84-84 line because it was those charicters that appeared in the show. But in all truth there was already an established fan base that loved the militaristic look and feel of the 82-83 guys and felt the TV show "jumped the shark" on what they loved. Not to mention all the fans of the original GIJoe and the Adventure team of the 70's that felt like GI Joe "Jumped the Shark" when they were scaled to 3.3/4 size to compete with the Star Wars market. (those were my older siblings). In reality GIJoe never jumped the shark. It just re-invented itself every few years to remain relevent. And wheteher or not you agree with the choices hasbro has made regarding the property, they obviously have done something right, because were still taking about it today.

Frankly, even if you've picked any one of these up at retail already and only looking to buy one, you should order both sets anyway.

1. You'll get the discount, with the shipped total ending up $10 cheaper than retail.

2. You'll get the one you needed.

3. If you've saved the receipt from the store purchase, you can just return the HTS one and actually end up saving money.

I have to say big NO to Sgt Slaughter. He sucks. Even Larry Hama didnt like him. He was featured in exactly one issue and then never again.

I would like to see them stick to anything 1986 and earlier, which represents the last year of the TV show. But especially the 1982 Joes, as the original figures were basically kit bashes in and of themselves. They could do alot with these to flesh out the characters.

Alright, he isn't the best character, but honestly he's cool. Comparing him to cash ins like the Fridge etc really isn't quite the same, he actually had a role and played it in the series and Movie. Just because he is based off of the wrestling character really doesn't change it much. Hell Remus even voiced it and did a decent job of it. :P

For those that dont know to combat SGt. Slaughter Cobra has added Rowdy Roddy Piper-- (exclusive 1000 piece figure at the G.I. Joe Convention)-- So that cements it-- there is no need for Sgt. Slaughter in the Joes-especially since it meant he had to have a Cobra Counterpart (personally I think the Iron Sheik would have been better-- or to make it really humorous-the character that Slaughter turned into during the wrestling story where he became a traitor to the U.S. (could have been his twin brother for the Joe plotline)--- thank god it hasnt come to that.

Part of this line is also for those of us who still read the Joe Comics by Devils Due-- so some of these character selections are based upon whats going on currently in the series.

Well I seen these things in person now and I am all about this line. Damn you Hasbro for tugging at my childhood memories and sucking me back in.

I do have only some minor gripes. Storm Shadow V2 only having a basic bow and no claw. Cobra Officer without an AK. Snake EYes V2 having a basic sword and not his signiture one. Has anyone tried using the old figure's weapons with the new ones? Does that 1/4" make a big difference putting them in vehicles? I know theres a few places like Maurader and GTG that make some weapons for figures, do they work with these new ones?

"So, no Major Bludd. No Flash. No Breaker. No Hawk. No Clutch. No Rock N Roll. But, yippie! A Red Ninja!! "

I totally agree with you IrishJedi. How could they not release some of those classic guys and go for repaints right off the bat? I thought for sure they should have included the inital 8 Joes at least.

I did hear some new rumours from another site and will try to punch up these UPCs since I work at WalMart now. Here's the list floating around for next year.

65356928936 Blade Destro
65356928932 Snow Job
65356928934 Flash
65356928935 Snake Eyes Black
65356928931 Crimson Guard
65356929251 Armor CC
65356929253 Torpedo
65356929254 Major Bludd
65356929252 Rock N Roll
65356929255 Wild Bill

Some cool ones but still no standard Viper or BAT V1 or even Iron Grendaiers someother nice basic infantry guys. They don't even round out the original Dreadnoks. I thought Blade Destro and the armoured CC were supposed to be in Cobra box set 2. Hopefully that Snake Eyes is the V3 version like when he went into that country in the ninja mind trance in the issues of the comic before the 100s. I would love that one but not that red visor monstority they had in the later cartoon. I

I also heard about some comic 2 packs like the Sw ones with 2 figures.

Not that I really want a red ninja figure-- but in the comic books for the past 5-10 years they have been very key to many major story arcs and as they are trying to cross the fan base and give nods to the newer fans as well this is not a bad choice-- its an army builder and is a group that is led by Snake Eyes-- their go to character- so from a marketing standpoint its not that bad of a choice---
As cheesy as it gets ninjas have been a major part of G.I. Joe-- not in 1982 but from about 1985 on there were at least 13 different ninja characters that I can come up with off the top of my head that were made figures (not to mention Zartan which The great Larry Hama ended up training as a Ninja as well) and at least 3 more that were key to the whole comic run as well (C.C.s son Billy) not made into figs. So Ninjas are a very key part of the G.I. Joe line.

Although that said, I would prefer Cover Girl first.

And since this line wil be continuing into next year Im sure that many of those figures will get made.- Although lets hope for the original Hawk (who wasnt in the intial couple of runs of figures) and not the one thats in a wheelchair.

And Im not sure if they are even going to release the figures that were originally only included with their vehicles-like Clutch and the afore mentioned Cover Girl-- although lets also hope for Wild Weasel or Wild Bill- (Sgt. Marauders/Tiger Force redecos dont count with me)

"welded together". No screws, no O-rings, but the same type of bar holding the legs together. Careful with Gung-Ho, the legs on mine seemed VERY loose (not to mention his weapon falls apart if you look at it funny once you take off the elastic band)

I got my two 5-packs yesterday, love a lot of it, disappointed in a lot, too. I don't like the height, or how tiny it makes the heads look (in addition to many of the heads being too small in any case!). REALLY don't like the helmets on Duke & Roadblock, Duke especially. Fits weird, looks silly. I wish they'd made 'em even more like Star Wars, with forearm/wrist swivels placed appropriately (Duke's forearms should swivel at the sleeve!), and I wish there were some trigger fingers on 'em. I've already Xactod the index fingers apart on Duke, Snake Eyes, Baroness and a couple others. Not crazy about Destro's left hand, though strangely I don't mind Cobra Commander's left. CC's helmet fall off VERY easily. I also don't like how most of the arms can't bend very far at the elbows (mostly on the Joes, particularly bad on Duke who's got a massive rifle and could use a bit more flexibility to get a two-handed grip on it)

Snake Eyes is great, I already posed him like his classic card art. His explosives pack's strap was very warped in the box, so I'll need to boil-n-freeze it I think, and do the same for Storm Shadow's hands so he can hold the swords better. He's also great! Scarlett looks very cool, but she may become custom fodder (that head'd make a great Mara; I won't be content with the Comic Pack version of the character alone, I needs me some Jedi Mara!), same with Baroness (female Mandalorian, maybe). I plan to pick up at least one more Trooper eventually, and naturally an Officer when I find the singles. I'm looking forward to getting Snake Eyes 2 and the officer... MAYBE Storm Shadow. Would've been great if he had his ol' Wolverine claws http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Reason I'm asking is I won a Gung-ho figure on ebay last night, and I'm planning on customizing him into a Rebel Fleet Trooper. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I'm only planning on using the upper body of Gung-ho for the custom. I'm gonna put the upper body on an Endor Rebel torso/legs. Then trim down the hat, so that a Rebel Fleet helmet will fit, throw on the Rebel Fleet vest; and last but not least change the "Marine" tatoo into a Rebel tatoo i.e. the "shield" on the Rebel pilot helmets.

Same here. My Gung-Ho came out of the box with legs so loose that you would've thought that I've been playing with him for years. And I agree about the gun. Not only does it fall apart, but he doesn't hold it really well either.

All easy fixes.

Yeah, I had 2 Gung Ho's and both times, legs were looser than with other figures. You could try tightening the screw in the thighs which helps. If not, taking apart the leg is very easy. The hip joint is actually a small metal ball in a groove with a plastic "cup" inside another hole on the other half of the thigh. The little plastic cup can be crushed or loose so maybe you need to reset it. That would help. If worse comes worse, just use a water-based craft glue (or any glue that stays gooey when it dries rather than hard) sparingly around that joint to tighten it up a bit. Reassembling is easy as well. You can do the same around the knee joints if those are loose as well (whill you have the leg disassembled, of course).

As for this grenade launcher, heat up the point where the two parts connect with a blow dryer or very hot water. Once hot, tighten up the two holes to make them narrower. Quickly cool down the plastic with cold water. When you re-attach the cylinder, it should be much tighter and hold together.

As for him holding it better, um, I have him hold it in his left hand. I gave up with that one. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I did the glue trick with my Gung-Ho and Snake Eyes. Works well, just make sure the glue does not set in one spot!

Is the upcoming Corbra Trooper on single card gonna be a repack from the 5-pack? I hope so.

It is. He's the original army-builder of the entire RAH line (until tons of Cobra troops started getting made in 31 flavors... Viper! Pit Viper! Alley Viper! Night Viper! Techno-Viper! Propeller Viper! Asparagus Viper!) so makes perfect sense to release him in both varieties.

I just wish he held his rifle better http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Well I have seen the set up at SDCC. I am sooo hooked into this line.

Serpentor looks damn cool, the best version I've seen and Buzzer too. Lady Jaye is just ok, don't like the hat.

Zartan could be very cool when you see his coloured self. Stalker was a suprise, Beachhead looks great. Shipwreck is not so hot.

The Cobra battlepack is kind of a dud. Repaint city and not good ones at that. Storm Shadow looks like the 2000+ type, The Cobra trooper looks like Scarface from the old Marvel comics perhaps. All black CC???? Jet trooper is nice though.

Hopefully the comic packs will show up.

The customs are nice, glad to see Shockwave, but why Raptor????

So the Cobra Trooper from the Battlepack is not the same from the current 5-pack then?

Go read the response to the last time you asked this. It seems like they're one in the same.

I was excited about the COBRA Jet pack trooper for one reason. It confirmed that they hadn't lost the JUMP mold. I am so excited about the merest possibility of a JUMP re-release at some point.

Now that wave 1 is out and the 5 packs.

What do you guys like about the new ones compaired to the orignals. I really like the poses you can do and the leaner look. But I really still love my 80's HEHE! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

From the pick below if you could only choose one which one would it be? From looks not value or whatever.

we must suck out here in VA, I haven't seen ANY of these.

And to answer your question, the one on the right, the OG Snake Eyes.

Yes, the one on the left is from the 5 pack. The one on the right is the single carded.

Just FYI – A local Walmart doing a reset in toys last night had those signs hanging, listing what items would be where. There were no 3.75" or 25th Ann. JOEs listed anywhere. Don't know if this is nationwide, or not. But I don't expect to see the 25th figs there. No big surprise, though.

I picked up Wave 1 and Cobra 5 pack at Target. Everywhere I found them though had warped cards. Anybody else find this problem? bad news for MOC collectors if this is nationwide.

I ran into this also echoplex. I think that's why their price is lower than SW figs - cheaper cardboard cardbacks. Found Snake Eyes and Cobra Officer. Dammit they are awesome. Saw the sticker at local WalMart for these - $4.88. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I finally found myself Cobra Commander & a Cobra Officer! Wave 1 is almost complete.

I got this really nice lady @ Target to grab a case (really more a box than a case) of Wave 1 singles, I thought I would finally get my hands on the variant Timber. To my surprise the case had 3 gray Timbers?! I thought all the cases came with 1 variant Timber?

Yo Joe?

My Stormshadow's card was ok, but the bubble was already coming off the card. It looks like as was stated before, MOC collectors are gonna have a hard time. I hear our targets are getting messed up cards.

I hope they're not going back to the old ways and damaging them inntentionally. That would be entirely stupid with a line aimed at collectors.

Found everything except hooded Cobra Commander here in Austin. Like a lot of others, I saw a bunch of bent cardbacks on the singles. I don't think this is being done on purpose by Target, but it must be something about how they're packed.

These figures are super awesome, by the way, and I can't wait for more to hit stores.
