Yes it is true. I can't remember the news site I read it on, but here is a preorder for one. http://www.digital-toys.com/tfmusiclabel.html There is also a Optimus Prime coming out where his trailer acts as an iPod dock.

There are also headphones that transform into Rumble and Frenzy.

I believe preorders for them all are available on bigbadtoystore.com

I can't wait to see updated photos of this. I may just get him if he's done well. He loooks to be promising but it is still too difficult to tell from the photos. Also, I hope he is as huge as the MP Megatron.

Since it has a SD expansion slot, is there any idea of how much storage is on it on default?

Hope someone other than TAKARA does this. I mean, the G1 styled prime is pretty sweet - could almost be considered an Ultra Magnus considering its all white and silver. Although am I alone in thinking the all white soundwave is pretty sharp looking, I mean the G1 coloed one is okay too, but I dunno I kinda like the white, looks almost like "hey I'm white you can't think I'm evil." then he unleashes his minions and they kill ya.

Although they are kinda pricy, espeically if they don't have a) alot of storage and b) are small.

I was thinking that the white ones were the prototypes and that the completed ones will be G1 colored

Both versions will be available. Now I want to see painted copies of Rumble and Frenzy.

Okay, I realize I am engaging in a bit of thread necromancy here... but I've got one of the Music Label Soundwaves on the way soon, & I've also got a good friend (also a member here, actually) who has one of these and can't get it to work, even though he's gotten a Japanese-speaking friend to translate the instructions and has followed them to the letter. And I've heard in general that people have had mixed luck in getting him to actually work.

I've seen a "Music Label Soundwave Help Thread" on Seibertron.com, but recently nothing's been loading from that site, for whatever reason -- I can't even get the Google cache to show up.

So, I thought I'd ask... among those of you who own this particular Soundwave, does anyone have any suggestions or advice on how to get him working? For example, is there a certain way one has to transfer the music files to the mini SD card (e.g. playlist file along with individual MP3s)? Does the brand of SD card matter?

Thanks a bunch, all -- my pal and I would appreciate any advice anyone can offer.

p.s. On the issue of colors, you may know that there's now a black one (meant to be Soundblaster), too. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

A quick update on my above post. I got my Soundwave the other day, and finally got him working after a good bit of blood, sweat, and tears. For the benefit of anyone else out there trying to get him to work, here are a few tips:

- 2 GB mini SD cards work just as well as 1 GB mini SD cards.
- Make sure tho get rid of all hidden files or directories on the mini SD card before using it in Soundwave. (This is especially important if you're a Mac user.)
- VERY IMPORTANT: The MP3s you put on Soundwave's mini SD card have to have a bitrate of 128 kbps. 160 kps MP3s -- the default with iTunes -- simply won't play. So if you're an iTunes user and want to transfer music to Soundwave, you'll have to make sure your CDs are imported at 128 kbps (in the Preferences), or reencode the files you want to put on the mini SD card. (I recommend Audacity -- http://audacity.sourceforge.net -- for doing so.)

Would love to hear about other folks' experiences with this Soundwave! One reason I'm making such a big deal of him is that he's pretty much my first Transformer ever (since the stuffed Bumblebee doesn't really count). http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif
