Okay, moved this over from the main thread.

The idea is a Sunday morning meet up in or around the West Towne Mall area. It would be just after 10 since we would have to check TRU for new toys first.

There are a couple of places we could go to eat -- Denny's and the Coppertop restaurant are nearby, as are Burger King and McDonalds. Or we could head over to one of the nearby Perkins (either off the beltline at Park Street or on University near the top of Whitney Way). Other suggestions are of course welcome.

Do folks want to do this coming Sunday? Or the next? I suspect if we try to get too organized around this it won't happen. So if someone is enthusiastic about a particular date, give a holla and we'll organize around it.

P.S.

Sundays are better for those of us who have already met up due to various work and social commitments on Saturday. But I'm sure we could vary which weekend day we meet in the future.

Go notmertz go!

Perhaps a week from this Sunday? I don't know/care. I've been to every meeting so far so count me in for the third one when ever it is! Good times! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

M.A.S.U.!! M.A.S.U!

I'm up for another meeting! Next Sunday, 4/29, would work better for me-might be out of town this weekend. If the majority vote is for this Sunday, I'll have to catch the next meeting, no big deal.

I can make 4/29 work for me, only if I get to be the first one thru the doors at TRU. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If I come, I'll probably have to bring Mini Me with me. That seems to be the only way I can get out of the house on weekends.

How about M.A.R.S. - Madison Area Rebel Scummers!! Kind of has that spacey sci-fi thing going on too! How about it?

Boy I wish I lived a little closer to Madison, I'd meet up with you guys. I get sick of seeing the same 3 hot wheels scalpers everyday http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/mad.gif. It'd be nice to talk Star Wars with a bunch of other collectors.

I think notmertz has a key to the store as they seem to let him in about 10 mins before it opens so you'll have to get there early!

Yah, right. I think y'all were just running LATE. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

So let's lock it in -- Sunday, April 29th at 10am (or 9:50am for Zamps) at the Westside TRU.

Now where to eat? Someplace that can accomodate a bunch of people plus assorted crumb crunchers (ie, little ones) would be great. The only two choices that really stand out to me are Denny's (which is right there) or Perkins (probably the one off the Beltline at Fish Hatchery Road).

Suggestions? Does that work for east side and Mount Horeb folks?

Also, should we shoot for a 10:30 meet-up time at the restaurant so that folks who can't make the TRU opening know when to meet the gang coming from TRU (we'll likely hang out for a bit there and grouse about the lack of figures, etc.)?

All are welcome, of course.

Can I bring my whole family? (We vote for Denny's)

If Zamps brings his son, Denny's is fine. Otherwise I'm not looking forward to entertaining a 2 year old there.

I'll probably be kickin' it solo. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Do any of the folks with wee little ones have any suggestion for places that accomodate wee little ones well? I'm not in that world, so can't make a good suggestion.

Otherwise it sounds like TRU at 10am and Denny's across the street 15 or 20 minutes later.

And Ray, we couldn't imagine a meet up without your entire gang there!

P.S.

Does anyone have new guy Jason's contact info? I haven't been out hunting lately so I haven't run into him to make sure he knows about the meet-up. Can anyone help?

I take it's still a go for tomorrow?

Prime, is little prime tagging along tomorrow?

Yep, 10am, TRU. Then we'll migrate over to Denny's for Eggs Over My Hammy. All are welcome!

Nope. I obviously wasn't there either. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Resurrecting the old thread for an updated meet.

Upon hearing distant rumors of new product showing up in stores, decided that another get-together is in order. Same old idea-meet at Madison West TRU, and then catch a bite to eat afterwards (I think someone mentioned McD's afterwards http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif). Not sure what other peoples schedules are like, but Saturday (8/4) could work for me, but thats open to suggestion. Everyone is welcome-doesn't matter how near or far away you are, its the love of the saga that binds us together-or something like that.

Thoughts?

I'd be up for something. Although I think we should wait until wave 4 starts to hit.

I'm not sure though if I can make it until the end of August anyway as the next three weekends are full for me.
