A question for Attakus collectors:

I just received my Attakus Tusken Raider from Toyrocket via ebay. The COA says that the piece is number 43 in a Japanese limited edition of 200 units. The sculpt is the same as the regular release. The box has a little bit of Japanese writing as well and says "for sale in Japan only". My first thought was that this might be an Asian fake of some sort, but everything from the packaging, COA, statue, etc looks genuine as far as I can tell.

Anyone know what is going on with this "Japanese release" attakus pieces? It is just a way for Attakus to increase their edition sizes?

they are exactly the same as the "regular" edition. Some try and pass them off as more valuable, but really there is no difference.

Amazing statue btw, one that has been eluding me for some time now...

I also ordered mine from toyrocket and mine was #44! Just got it yesterday. Same statue as the U.S., but it has "Blister" packaging and the Japanese COA XXX/200.

Does anyone else's TIE pilot have Aurubesh writing on his helmet?

So do you mean that all Japanese editions do not come with the black Attakus box that the original x of 1500 editions do?

When I think of blister packaging I picture clear plastic form fitted to the statue. Is that correct?

thanks for the help.

Guess I wasn't clear ... do the Japanese editions come in the traditional black Attakus box? Anyone have PICs as I'm not sure what the blister pak is.

I'm pretty sure "Blister" is just the Japanese company that imports them.
