Hey Folks,

Jason here from the Force-Cast. Just wanting to throw out a question to you... and that is what would you like to hear on the Force-Cast? Is there someone in the Star Wars community that you'd like to hear drop by the Cantina for an interview? How about a line of collectibles you'd like to hear more about. Or, a particular comic or book series you want to discuss? You name and we'll try to make it happen. Thanks for listening and remember to drop us an email or voice mail. Later!

Hey Jason,
First of all you and Pete have done a great job so far on the Forcecast. It's off to a great start! One thing that I've especially enjoyed are the interviews in the "cantina". Any chance that we'll be hearing from any SW cast/crew on the show? It doesn't matter how large a role they played in making the films, but having someone share their experiences of being involved with the films firsthand would be awesome. Keep it up and MTFBWY. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I think the force casts have been great up until now. I think that there should be more interviews around collecting. Maybe try to interview some of the better known collectors in the hobby. I imagine they would be game.

In general, I think it would be great to have a "vintage" section of the podcast featuring the original toys and merchandise that is so interesting.

I've really been enjoying the Force-Cast. One thing I would like to hear is a mention, or nod to what the audio clip at the beginning is, and where we can find it?

So far, there's been Bill Murray from SNL, and a Barry Manilow impersonator.

I wanna see some interviews with GG, Sideshow, and MR reps...More focus on collecting--I love those parts.

Though I know it's hard to keep the show within a 60-minute time-frame, I'd love to hear more insider info from the major Star Wars licensees.

How 'bout engage Mr. Steve Sansweet on a weekly (his personal time/schedule permitting) Q&A about collectibles, SW Insider-style? Questions could be input through this very section and you and Dustin could pick up the more relevant for Steve to talk about. Sounds like fun, huh? http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Also, could you guys please have s'more background music? Nothing too fancy, or overly done. What you did for the Joe Corroney interview was just fine.

Well, my thoughts, anyway.

Keep'em coming!

There ought to be a thread for general feedback, but I wouldn't feel right creating one myself.

That being said, I greatly appreciate the spoiler warnings! The only thing about that I would change is the sound effect - instead of an anonymous alarm, you should play the "aoooogah!" Star Destroyer collision alarm. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Excelent episode again guys. I was thinking, how about a Star Wars community web site review. Each week review a community fan site like 501st.com, rebellegion.com, thejediacademy.net. Just so you can tell everyone out there about these sites, what they do and what you would need to join one of these sites.
Anyway just an idea, keep up the good work guys.

Just downloaded the Oct. 6th podcast to my Ipod and it's another great show guys!

One suggestion I thought of was having a weekly movie trivia segment. Perhaps you could ask a question(s), about anything from the saga and give away a small prize to someone who gets the answer correct.

Now, I know multiple people may get the question right, so maybe you could award the winning prize to the 10th caller, similar to what radio stations do during giveaways. Just a thought. As an alternative to this maybe you could have a trivia contest among listeners on a monthly basis.

People could enter themselves by calling or emailing their contact info, and you could randomly select 3 contestants each month to compete for a prize. Maybe you could even coordinate things so the contestants could compete right on the podcast for everyone to hear!! Don't know for sure if this is feasible to accomplish, but I thought I'd throw it out there. Thanks again guys, and remember, "Good against remotes is one thing,.. good against the living?....that's something else!"

Hey Mick - wow, you're a busy guy around the boards here http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif Re: trivia. Great idea and I think you're going to see as the show gains in popularity we will have more opportunities to get prizes for our listeners. Case in point, Official Pix will be donating prizes for our Top 10 by Halloween contest - IF we make it into the Top 10 by close of polls on 10/31. That will just be the beginning in a long line of awesome contests you can expect to hear in the coming months.

MickC

Jason,

Glad you thought the trivia was a good idea. I'm excited to hear that podcast listeners will have the chance to win prizes. That's just another bonus for fans listening to the Force-Cast.

And yeah, I am a bit busy on the boards. I know I have a tendency to post on several threads in succession. I have some down time at the office each day when I can make some posts and catch up on whats new around here. It's a little harder at night when the wife starts kicking me off the computer because, "I can't hog it all night!" You know how that one goes!

I have to tell you that ever since the momentum from Episode III started to dwindle shortly after the DVD release, I needed a jolt to re-charge my Star Wars battery.

With both TV series in the initial stages, and no more movies to gear up for, I was concerned that Star Wars might fizzle a bit until Celebration IV rolled around. But, I have to say that the Force-Cast has been just what I needed,(as well as so many other SW fans I'm sure), to get our engines running again.

I truly feel that 2006 was definitely the year of Star Wars considering it was a last hoorah of sorts, but I feel '07 will be just as tremendous. The Force-Cast makes everything feel that much more significant. Looking forward to Friday's show.

Hey guys first of all you know the regular stuff love the show and excetra.
So I have a suggestion, a way to get the fans more active besides the trivia idea which I think was great. Is maybe once in a while I don't know few months you set a specific time and have a call in show. Where from like skype or the likes you guys take calls and the guy discusses something or has a question or whatever and you put it out as a show. Just an idea and keep up the good work.

I'm really digging the force-cast. I'm subscribed to it on iTunes now. Really great show. Liking the updates and discussion on the TV series, and also the collecting news on Gentle Giant, Master Replicas, etc. This last one on that unauthorized replica distribution was an interesting listen.

Keep up the solid work guys. I'm hooked!

Jason & Pete,

What's up fellas? Haven't been on the boards in a while. Was on vacation with the wife. I caught up on last week's Force-Cast as well as the latest episode for the 27th. Great stuff. I'm really digging the Cantina interview with Kyle Newman.

Fanboys looks to be a great flick for Star Wars fans. Can't wait! Just wondering if you guys caught my email a couple weeks back about incorporating a Vintage Collectible of the week into the collecting segment? Seems to be a way to meet the requests of Vintage collectors withour short changing the news on all the current lines.

Was curious as to what you guys thought of the idea. Sorry the Star Wars tale was so long. Sometimes in my enthusiasm I can't stop typing once I've started. I'll try to keep them shorter from now on. Anyway great show as always! Take care.

One of the things I think would be cool, would be a listner mail portion. People can send in questions about the Star Wars Universe, and you answer a couple. I already know pretty much all there is to know, but refreshers are nice http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Awesome microcast this week Pete, I loved "All Character Show" on Oola and interview with Femi Taylor, she sounds like a very nice person.
I know you've already done Mara Jade but would it be possible to may be get an interview in the cantina with Shannon McRandle, the woman that does the modeling and appearances at convention as Mara Jade.
It would be nice to get a perspective from someone that wasn't in any of the movies but still has such a large following and to see what it's like for her to meet her fans. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I really like all of the new music. It sounds great! The only suggestion that I would like to make is to please continue to include collecting in the main podcast. The reason I say this is because 50 to 60% of the information on TheForce.net and Rebelscum.com deals with one form of collecting or another so I think that I should be a part of the show. I am also willing to guess that well over half of the people that go to the sites are collectors and that is most likely the reason that they came to the sites in the first place. Other than that I think the show is heading in the right direction.

Keep up the great work!

I agree on keeping the collecting in there. Just seems like a huge part of the Podcast is missing without it. If some people don't like that segment, fast forward. It's not that difficult, people. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif Other than that the Podcast sounds great, love the new sounds effects and announcer.

Hey guys,
Great show. I like the idea of the microcasts, but I still like the collecting information in the old format.

I would like to hear some ideas about displaying collections. I bet, like me, there are some people who are running out of room. I have been looking for some creative ways to fit my goodies without looking trashy. Maybe you could even include some pictures in your show notes.

I really appreciate the way you do your show. You conduct yourselves in a very professional way, (much different than other podcasts I've heard). Hope to meet you at Celebration 4!

Collecting segment is my fav, but I am also a big fan of the EU Character of the Week. Hey guys, your interview with Bony, Tom & Mat got me thinking, is there any chance of you interviewing Karen Traviss, Aaron Allston & Troy Denning once they have completed their Legacy of the Force series.
I realise it could be quite difficult to get all three in the cantina at the same time but may be have your own series with an author a week or something, although all three together would be awesome. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well, I just had an idea. (Not a good one exactly) You guys could keep us updated on small Star Wars stories like this one about an angry wookie!

Wookie Impersonator Arrested for Battery
By Associated Press
Sat Feb 3, 5:57 AM
LOS ANGELES - A man dressed as Chewbacca was arrested after police said the street performer head-butted a tour guide operator in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
Frederick Evan Young, 44, of Los Angeles was booked Thursday for investigation of misdemeanor battery, police Lt. Paul Vernon said.
Police said the 6-foot-4 street performer was seen arguing Thursday afternoon with a tour guide who had expressed concern the Star Wars wookie impersonator was "harassing and touching tourists" in violation of city law....

There's more on this link:
http://www.comcast.net/news/strange/index.jsp?cat=STRANGE&fn=/2007/02/03/577864.html&cvqh=itn_chewbacca
or this one on CNN:

I like the collecting news, but I think you should make it more of a review, whether a figure is brand new or a repaint, and worth buying. Also, a quick segment about figures lost in time would be cool, you know the prototypes and concepts that never were made - I'd love to know more about those type of things.

On another note, I'd really like to hear more about "Force Unleashed" and its characters - maybe even an episode dedicated to it. Shaak Ti survived, this opens the door to other characters as well, since the "purge" wasnt a total success.

I was thinking it might be interesting to hear interviews with other famous people that have been influenced by Star Wars. For instance Kevin Smith, for those that aren't familiar with his work he has written and directed and also stared in many movies such as, Clerks, Mall Rats, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Clerks II to name a few.

He and his Producer Scott Mosier also have a podcast called smodcast (http://quickstopentertainment.com/smodcast/) although I haven't heard it as yet. Any way HERE'S (http://www.viewaskew.com/main.html) their website, what do you guys think? http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm not sure if this was mentioned already, but I always thought that some microcasts covering the movies themselves would be entertaining. Perhaps they can touch on certain aspects of the movie plots and expand on the general theory surrounding specific circumstances in the saga.

A sort of "Movie Debate Microcast", if you will. A roundtable discussion would be great for this because several different points of view can be explored.

An example would be something like, "Does Vader recognize C-3PO in the original trilogy?" Now I know it's obvious that since these movies were written first, Lucas may not have had the idea of Anakin creating C-3PO, but it is an interesting debate as to how fans feel regarding whether or not this is a plausible idea. Or, "Did Palpatine purposely let Mace Windu get the upper hand in their fight to place Anakin in a position to choose sides?"

An alternative is discussing the correlation between Star Wars & Theological elements. I know this can get a bit more in depth, but it's just an idea. I know one thing for sure, there would be plenty of feedback from listeners on these issues. Just head over to the movie discussion threads, and thats all the proof you'll need!

A more simplistic movie microcast might be something like spotlighting a particular world, vehicle, weapon etc...sort of like the visual dictionary does. It could be a Visual Dictionary Microcast covering different skematics of the Star Wars universe. Just some food for thought. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts.

I had an idea for something I would like to hear. (although maybe after all the cool C4 coverage) My extensive collection is beginning to have some issues. First and foremost is the question of space. I would love to hear some creative ideas for displaying massive amounts of sculpted plastic! Not to mention how to keep them clean and dust-free. The one person I'd love to hear most, anytime soon, would be Mr. Steve Sansweet on what's in store for fans/collectors both at CIV & CE.

I think I remember hearing the guys say something about this idea in a previous episode of the show. I'm sure that the Force-Cast crew can put an exclamation point on the whole tutorial, and tie the entire Intro to the EU into one convenient podcast. I would expect to see something like this done on several fronts besides just the EU microcasts.

As the show does more microcasts which cover a similar subject it will generate a bigger need to index these microcasts together for easier reference. I am sure that something like CIV will generate a few microcasts which can be indexed into one large overall CIV wrapup.

One thing Jason, Pete, and the rest of the crew always try to do is make it easier for listeners to access the content they are seeking. It's only a matter of time before this comes to fruition.

How about some fan reviews at C4? Maybe interviewing some fans about Gentle Giant, Hasbro, etc. You have some great listeners in these forums who have a lot of different points of view. It might be kind of cool to hear from them, live.

MickC
03-11-2007, 08:20 PM
I have no doubt that there will be feedback from fans. Think about the Star Wars tales segment you could do live!! Plus I'm sure the guys will have a roving reporter on the convention floor. You can bet Dan Curto will be in full effect when it comes to reporting on the different collectible lines.

And I'm sure Dustin will have plenty of inside scoops for us. You know he'll be pumped to give us some VIP type covergae during CIV. After all, he is the Prez.

What? Something like a "SW True Hollywood Story" http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

MickC
04-03-2007, 12:45 PM
To qualify as a SW True Hollywood Story, there would have to be a big fall from grace by the hosts. I can see it now...

"After skyrocketing to podcast stardom, Jason & Pete hit rock bottom because of too many wild, drug & alcohol induced nights in the Coruscant Hills.

Jason was frequently linked with numerous Twi'Leks, and had a nasty death stick addiction which dragged him into a deperessive state. Shortly before checking into rehab he encountered some legal troubles when he assaulted two Jawas outside Dexter's Diner, and set the diner itself on fire while claiming it was a horrendous addition to the Star Wars Universe.

Pete, no stranger to the ladies himself, would often run up huge gambling debts in the Coruscant nightclubs watching Boonta Eve podraces via simulcast.

After racking up huge losses, sometimes 100,000 Republic credits in a weekend, he would soothe his gambling woes by doing jawa juice shots off Oola's bosom, and was even rumored to have driven a wedge(pardon the pun), between Luke Skywalker & Mara Jade which resulted in a nasty divorce.

Prior to checking into rehab, Pete had garnered the reputation as the "Kato Kalin of Corsucant", by frequently crashing at the home of professional gambler, and ladies man himself, Lando Calrissian.

The guidance from Lando didn't help Pete's partying ways, but in the end he did come away from the experience with the ability to perform a mediocore Lando impersonation."

SW True Hollywood Story continued....

"We travel back to the late summer/early fall of 2006 when the Force-Cast shot to super-stardom practically overnight. Jason & Pete plunged head first into a nightlife that had many dangerous twists and turns, but the guys were determined to enjoy the ride while it lasted.

Jason found himself becoming close friends with fellow bad boys Todd Bridges of Different Strokes fame, and Ricky Schroder of Silver Spoons. The trio were inseperable, quickly becoming legends in the Coruscant club scene. It quickly caused friction between Jason & his co-host Pete.

Pete felt like he was excluded from Jason's partying ways so he turned to his own celebrity party crowd which consisted of Emmanuel Lewis of Webster & Sole Moon Frye of Punky Brewster. After almost 3 months of undergoing a, "who can party harder competition", Jason & Pete sat down over a bottle of Dewar's and Zoloft to mend their fences.

Once they made amends, the two party groups formed a tight bond and would soon be mentioned in the same breath as other famous Hollywood party circles like the Rat Pack(Sinatra, Martin, Davis Jr.), or todays comedy Brat Pack,(Stiller, Ferrell, & the Wilson brothers).

These six club scene heavy hitters, would become known as the "Yak Pack" because of their dangerous, binge drinking induced nausea, and since it also referenced an absurd looking Star Wars character who looked like a lush himself, so the name seemed to stick.

Some writers in the media would jokingly change it to the "Dack Pack" as a symbolic referecne to Luke's co-pilot Dack, who was crushed under the pressure of the AT-AT's foot during the Battle of Hoth.

This symbolized how Pete & Jason were being crushed under the immense pressure that went along with the fame of an enormously successful internet podcast. But what happened next was something so shocking, no one, including the media, the scores of fans, or Jason & Pete themselves could have ever seen it coming....."

I have a suggestion/thought. I know this is from a topic a couple of weeks back, but why cut anything out of the show? We all love the Force Cast and all of the micro casts so why not do it in two formats? One huge mega pod cast on Friday and then regular mini pod casts for collecting, the EU, complete cantina interviews, etc. during the week? Just a thought. Also please interview Ray Park. I loved the Jimmy Mac interview but I can't get enough of him.

As an intermission from the True Hollywood story let me offer this gem from the Internet Oracle. (The Internet Oracle has been around for as long as the Internet and works by someone asking a question and someone else [rarely the same person twice] answers it. Terribly amusing.)

The Internet Oracle has pondered your question deeply. Your question was:

> 2.718281828459045 ^ (sqrt(-1)*pi) - 2.718281828459045 ^
> (sqrt(0-(2.718281828459045^2))*pi)

And in response, thus spake the Oracle:

} That's all the mechanic had to hear.
}
} "Yep, that's one stuffed R-2 unit. Stuck in diagnostic mode, I spose.", he drawled.
}
} Luke needed to get this droid fixed, and fast.
}
} "What's it going to take to get him working again?"
}
} "Well, you're gonna need a new alternator, serpentine belt, light-saber launching spring, retractable light-saber launch cover, speech unit..."
}
} "Speech unit?!", Luke interrupted.
}
} "Sure. How else you gonna understand him? When the speech module fries out, all they do is beep and whistle. Sound like an old PS/2 with a bad fan bearing and non-parity SIMMs."
}
} "You mean they don't normally sound like that?"
}
} The old mechanic looked at him quizzically. "Heck no. This little guy would be completely worthless without a speech unit. Nothing more than a hard drive on wheels if ya ask me."
}
} All these years, thought Luke. All these years I wondered why anyone would make a droid without a speech unit.
}
} "So ya want me to fix him or what?", the old man was obviously growing impatient.
}
} "Yeah, whatever he needs.", Luke hesitated. He was still reeling from this last bit of information.
}
} "Ya want me to re-fuel his boosters then too?"
}
} "Boosters?!" Luke exclaimed.
}
} "Yeah, his booster rockets. LOX tanks are bone dry."
}
} Luke was shocked, "You're saying these things can FLY?!"
}
} "Yup. Not much sense having an R-2 unit that can't fly. Nothin' but a talking hard drive on wheels if ya ask me."
}
} "Now you're just pulling my chain", Luke said. "Next you're going to tell me he's got a holographic 3-D display module and can fire a blaster out his [censored]."
}
} "Blaster is only standard on the LS model."
}
} You owe the Oracle a copy of "Dune" on DVD.

Can't you just hear it:

Pete: "I hate these things...their horrible!!"(Pete chucks a Star Wars Transformer down the aisle, leveling a 6 year old at the other end).

Toys 'R Us Manager: "Excuse me sir, is there a problem?"

Pete: " I can't believe you let Hasbro push this crap on you guys. Hold yourself to a higher standard for crying out loud!!"

Manager: "Sir, I'll need you to step away from the Star Wars merchandise and come with me please."

Pete: "You DO NOT need me to come with you."(Waving hand in a Jedi-like fashion).

Manager: "Sir are you on some sort of medication?"

Pete: "R2, where are you? I need you in aisle 6 right away!!"

Manager: " Perhaps you should go home and lay down sir, it's obviously been a busy day for you..."(pulls out walkie talkie to alert store security).

Pete: "You don't believe in the Force do you?"

Manager: " Have you suffered any blows to the head recently sir?"

Pete: "They're coming in too fast!!!"

Manager: " Uh...yeah, ok, I have a code blue in aisle 6...manager needs assistance immediately."

Pete: Biggs, Wedge lets close it up!! We're going in full throttle...that ought to keep those speeders off our back!"

Security Guard arrives: "Sir we're here to escort you out of the store. You'll need to leave please!"

Pete: I knew you'd come back I just knew it!!"

(Security guards take Pete by the arms and lead him to the exit)

Manager: "Have a good day sir, take care of yourself."

Pete: I'll not leave you here, I've got to save you!!"

Manager: "We don't need any saving today sir, but thanks for asking."

Pete: "Ben...Why didn't you tell me?!!"

Ok, that's all I could come up with. Pete, you know I'm just kidding man. It's all in good fun.

Indy is Han Solo in another life for sure. And ...and on another planet...and in another galaxy...

I think as we hear more Indy news there might be room for an expanded segment on the Friday Force-Cast, but I'm not so sure they'll ever be enough to compile an entire microcast.

Perhaps the guys will do a microcast when we draw closer to the premiere of the movie. That might be worthy of a show in itself. We'll have to wait and see....

How about a micro-cast focusing on the Marvel SW series with Roy Thomas, Howard Chaykin(SP?), Carmine Infanto(SP?), and maybe "Smilin'" Stan Lee? That would be a good one. Maybe another micro-cast focusing on the radio dramas? Unfortunately, Brian Daley is no longer with us.

What an awesome idea! I loved the Marvel Comics and still have every one in "almost" perfect condition. ( I used to read them a lot.) I also would copy the pictures over and over. It's one of the ways I learned to draw and make a living today. And the radio dramas were also a great time in my life. For a radio drama micro-cast, I would suggest(if someone can get him)an interview with the "other" Han Solo, Perry King. IIRC, he was one of the other actors who originally auditioned for the role of everyone's favorite Corillian smuggler, but lost out to that Ford character(sarcasm).

Since you guys will be doing live shows in the future. You might want to announce the debate subject in advance (Ex. Leia's memories of her mother ...from last week). So if people have more knowledge/opinion or are more interested in a particular aspect of Star Wars that you will talk about, you might have more chances of them being available for discussion during the broadcast and taking time to be online. It might also give you the time to build a panel of experts if there is a need for it.

Just a suggestion. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

EDIT
Hum maybe my post should be moved in the General Feedback

No i'm not for a change of format, definitely not. The debate is only a small part of the show. Like last week. It was around 15 minutes max. I though that could bring people that wouldn't show up usually during the live broadcast if they knew about a particular subject that would be discuss in addition of the news.

Great job with the TalkShoe show everyone. I look forward to hearing more from all the Force-Cast crew and "forum/fan" crew. I just hope that the main focus of the show is the news and commentary by Jason and Pete, with community discussion as an addition to the main crew. Maybe you could even do community discussion micro-casts where everyone debated the biggest topics in Star Wars.
And as always keep up the great work! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yeah I'm not a collector, but honestly don't mind those segments at all.

I prefer the debates, BUT would caution against the super-general debates like OT vs PT because it is so open ended. I rather enjoyed the plot driven debates myself and with the Talk Shoe format, it could get interesting... Maybe address many of the plot-holes Lucas didn't fill with ROTS.

I strongly request more of Jason's George Lucas impression. It is not a bad impression - it is icing on the ears. Chocolate icing with those crunchy snowflakey-looking candy things.

Jay's George imitation, on the other hand, makes me think of Kermit the Frog with a plaid shirt. But that's not without it's comic value.

Pete's Billy Dee: while not nealy as spot on as Jason's George, still makes me snicker at my desk at work.

There are many vintage pics out there to support it, but I am really not sure why someone hasn't connected with him. I also went back and got all of the Galaxy of Music microcasts. And eventually I want to go back for more, but I still need to get the present episodes.

I'd like more EU coverage. Given that 1/2 of the team doesn't consider it "legitimate" I doubt that happens since it's hard to cover something you aren't into but that's what I'd like to hear about since that's the future of the franchise .

Maybe the better suggestion is that a separate podcast be made by Jovial Jay or someone else that is completely into the EU much like Dan and the collecting podcast.

I've thought about this a few times recently since Jason's been bringing up the Jawas' videos, although I don't know how difficult (or even possible) it would be... But I'd love to see their videos as micro-casts on the Force-cast iTunes feed.

Eric_Geller
12-28-2007, 06:32 PM
That wouldn't be hard at all. I watch plenty of technology podcasts that release their content on iTunes. For non-iTunes, we'd just need to set up an RSS feed that links to the videos directly. And for iTunes--well, I haven't done it before, but I know it's easy to set up a video-cast feed.

After all, how else will Jason and Pete release video episodes once they start producing them? http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I know he's passionate about it and that's the coverage I feel it needs. There's still a lot of interest in the EU and the continuity is very good in general. Granted there are a few things that conflict but Lucas even does that in the movies himself (see Leia remembering dear old Mom).

I just tire of all the "EU" guests being artists and not writers and usually new books and comics being glazed over if mentioned at all.

I mean no disrespect at all to Jason and Pete and I hope it's not taken that way at all but I gotta have more EU!

Okay, I know it's probably a long shot, but I'd like to hear the following in Force-Cast episodes:

- A "What happened then ?" section, where the post-SW career of a particular actor would be listed.
Along with a "E chu ta! " or "Ay soto va lochah !" line, depending on how the said actor sees his participation to the saga, years later.

- A "Site of the week" section, where the best SW-related (or not ?) site would be presented and commented. This could be associated to a forum poll maybe ?
Oh ... I can nearly hear the intro for this !
"- You found something ? Yes, my lord. ....
- That place ... in you must go.
- I'm going in !"

- A ... Force-Cast trivia !!!
And to use the full potential of the medium, it could be an audio trivia !
"Name that vehicle", "Who's screaming", "In what scenes do we hear that music" ... the possibilities are (nearly) endless.
I'm not sure a prize would really be necessary to motivate the players http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Those are great ideas, Satka! Altough, I fear the "What happened to..." section would probably be reduced to "Worked flipping patties at a burger joint, then became a professional convention artist" http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I would love to hear a Karen Traviss interview, she's probably my favorite SW author. That would be awesome!

long time listener, first time poster:

what I want to hear:

*in depth coverage of older fan films with interviews of their creators, and the ones coming soon. Contract of Evil, Versus, Knight Quest, Ryan vs Dorkman are just a few that come to mind.
*talk about the books more, IMO they are the best thing going right now.
*How about force-cast commentary tracks?! you could even do this yearly as it would be a different experience every time. We'd all watch the saga and you could air your commentary live! Call it The Force-cast live global celebration!
*more Billy Dee!
*more star wars tales
*I personally want more of anything to do with the time period after Jedi. I want to hear what other fans 'wish' to see in the future. Whether it's TV or dare I say new films.

How about a fan feedback microcast. I mean, it wouldn't be micro, given all the feedback/tales/etc you get, but you keep talking about trying to catch up on it all.

Just a thought.

No. Really. I mean it.
If you do have to showcase his songs, get back to that Wizard's Dream. Please, please, please -- no more Name Your Poison. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Ok..so sometimes I listen to the forcecast while I'm working out in the gym....I usually play catch up so I finished last week's podcast today. When Christopher Lee started singing that God awful song(s)..I about lost myself. I laughed so hard that my shoulder almost went out on an exercise, no lie. That was horrible.

I like the soundbites...no matter how many times I hear "The things....you say....IT'S UNTHINKABLE!" I crack up.

I would like to hear more info about collecting on a personal level..what does Jason, Pete and Jmac like, as well as the callers and chat? What's their favorite? Also I'd like to hear more news about Autograph collecting as well. Plus Eric needs to have his own segment....he is the president after all. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Keep up the GREAT work guys!

1) More calls!
2) I would LOVE another interview with Kyle Newman. I understand he's really busy, but I remember my first force-cast I ever listened to had him on it, and I was like WOW! Also, it'd be great to know his opinion on everything going on.
3) More calls! haha.

I'd like to hear the team's views on their favourite Star Wars Games. Board Games, video games, RPG etc.

I personally would love to see a return to the OT characters(lego discounted) based games. One in particular, Han. A timeline game that tracks his story from growing up on Correlia through his time as an Imperial pilot and saving Chewie, winning the falcon from Lando, all the way through the trilogy and maybe beyond into the realms of the novelised EU (marrying Leia).

Thoughts anyone? Love to hear them on the Forcecast Jay and Pete.

You know, that's probably the most brilliant idea I've heard all day. Seriously. I mean, they're doing it with The Force Unleashed--the only difference is that they're doing it for a time period, not a character. But I bet that if TFU is a big hit, there will be more interest in an "Explore The Character's Background"-type game. Lightsider1138, you should work for Lucasfilm. I'll see if I can pull a few strings for you.

I'm glad you share my enthusiasm for the idea. Lucasfilm job? yes please. C'mon that has to be one of the top five jobs of a star wars fan.

Whare do you work?

I posted this on Kyle Newman's Myspace:

Hey Kyle! The very first Force-Cast episode I ever listened to was the one where they interviewed you earlier last year, and that was what really hooked me on the Force-Cast. I know you're incredibly busy, but I was wondering if you'd consider coming back on the Force-Cast sometime, do an interview with Jason and Pete, and answer some questions from the fans maybe? I know there are some questions I'd like to ask about the production of Fanboys, as a fanboy myself, and as a prospective filmmaker. I feel comfortable saying that you would have an incredibly warm welcome, as all we've talked about for the past couple months is how excited we are for Fanboys!

I would have to go with more EU stuff. Mostly a weekly update with the comic books like legay and KOTOR.
