Look at the price sticker damage on the Lobot and R2 he won:

Now look at what he sold:

I feel bad for that person who paid $110 for the R2. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif

SHADY! That is not cool. Nice catch, and thanks for the warning. This seller's on our radar now.

That is so wrong http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif,
what a Dirtbag!
or should I say scam Artist?

I think that both are equally appropriate

Aw man! That is really such an underhand & low thing to do. It just goes to show what a little investigation can do for you. You can save yourself from many a dodgy-deal by doing a little background work.

Well I sent both buyers messages. They deserve to know.

Great catch btw!

I bought a "sealed" ESB playset from him a little while back. Waited a whole month for it and it was a complete and very obvious reseal...Did get my money back but only because I caught it.....
Reseals + price sticker coverups = SHADEY SELLER http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Awesome catch phidias! I e-mailed the winner of the R2 auction. It would be nice to see him get some money back. I'll be watching this guy's future auctions that's for sure.

Oh....and don't forget this one......

Damaged MOC Yoda (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=50274&item=190004322838)

Nicely placed sticker cover up MOC Yoda (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=50274&item=110008151715)

Sure he changed the desription to say there was damage under the price sticker (that he put on!!), but most likely because he was busted.....
Scammers suck.....

I remember that Yoda auction, but I didn't remember that it was the same [censored]. Jesus. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/mad.gif

Do not forget about this one too:

and this one:

I received this message from the R2 buyer on Sept 6th:

"Yeah, thats the first thing I noticed. I ran my finger over the sticker and felt the tear. I guess you've had the same problem with this guy. What did you buy from him?"

I let him know I had just seen this scam being discussed here on RS.

What ticks me off about this guy, is I think he is the one I was bidding against on the Special Offer Darth Vader Case he has up for sale now. A few months back some one had them miss marked and they both went for less than $200 and he got them both. Now he is selling them again! They look legit, I guess I am just pissed I didn't get them. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/mad.gif

im not a vintage collector, ive just been glancing through
lately at all the ebay scams people pull.
where do people get the price sticker from to do that with?

working at wal mart i see alot of cheap tricks people pull to return stuff.
it doesnt suprise me really, it means theres too many people wanting too many things and not having enough money.
there are too many collectors these days.

I've had price stickers fall off of cardbacks because of the glue drying out and no longer holding, I don't know if that's what happens here. And he just reuses them on another card.

What goes around comes around, one day he'll rip the wrong guy off and get what's coming to him http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/mad.gif...hopefully!

Also, what I find interesting is he is selling this "Sealed" ESB case with 3 figs (http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Star-Wars-ESB-Darth-Vader-Collectors-Case-MISB_W0QQitemZ110029976391QQihZ001QQcategoryZ50275 QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem) and also has this auction for 3 Mint vintage ESB figures (http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Darth-Vader-Luke-Bespin-Yoda-complete-loose_W0QQitemZ110030394825QQihZ001QQcategoryZ5027 4QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)
Amazingly they are the 3 exact same figures that come with the "sealed" ESB variation case his is selling off. WOW whats the odds of that huh... http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I saw that too. I realy want one of those cases, but this guy is just to shady. Has anyone written him to say what a jerk he is??

09-08-2006, 06:41 PM
I'm sure many have but as long as ebay let him get away with it, i don't think he will care http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/mad.gif
