Wow, that is a lot! On saying that though, i have probably paid over the odds for things on a few occasions too ( though not to the extent of the saber you highlighted!). Sometimes if i want something, i've just got to have it & if that means paying that little bit extra to get it, then i will. As long as all my bills are paid & my family have what they need then it's all good. Those small objects of desire have a lot to answer for!

It's because he said telescoping. the dingbats thought he meant double telescoping. It's just a question of people not knowing what they are bidding on, and a seller with an intentionally vague description

I cant see a problem with the description, nothing vague about it, and it is a telescoping sabre. Original, played with what more do you need?

Apparently, it was vague enough for the buyer(s) to overbid.

Just about all I can say to that is, "Uhm, yeah..."

I have to agree that it looks like someone is hoping that it's a different lightsaber than it appears to be at a cursory glance.

I think that whoever the bidders were added an additional word when they read the description. I completely agree that it's stupid, but there you have it. anyone know how I can contact the next highest bidder? I have a telescoping saber to sell too. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've noticed that AFA labels say "Telescoping Saber" on the label for DT saber figures. So the wording is misleading. Potential buyers should ask the seller if it is DT rather than just a regular saber, though, if it can't be determined from the pic.
