I hope this is the right place to mention this - if not, please forgive me. On eBay at the moment is a 'Buy It Now' $10,000 AFA graded Tri-Logo Jawa (#260026703893)http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Noticed that one a couple times too... the price just kinda sticks out.

Must be "cashing in" on the recent price increase on tri-logos!

The Jawa is the toughest trilogo out there. The fact that this piece is so clean, and in such high condition, makes it even tougher. While I don't think it will go for $10K on ebay, I'd think it would go for more than half of that off of ebay.

There was recently an AFA 70 tri Madine that went for $3000ish if I remember correctly.

Yes! That is a fantastic piece... if my focus did'nt change recently... I may have made a decent offer on that piece.

James is a very respected and reputable dealer... no worries here. I have purchased several high grade items from his site: www.TheToyHeaven.com. (http://www.TheToyHeaven.com.) http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Okay, as a jawa collector I will "go" out on a limb and say a 10k BIN is just stupid. I can "see" a BIN of 3.5K, but no way in hell is a trilogo jawa worth that much. Hell, I can think of roughly ten PRODUCTION jawas that are tougher to locate than the trilogo. Some of them I have in my collection. I am NOT bashing the seller, because I have met him several times and think good things of him. There is cashing in and there is a BIN price that is like "what in the hell are they thinking". Of course I can be wrong some "person" will use the BIN.. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Well, what can I say?
if i had that kind of money to spend in my hobby I guess I would probably buy it,

after all, there is nothing more expensive than the things that you canīt get anywhere else, right?

After reader the fantastic Kellerman book, which mentions sample carded figures, I guess I will just have to get my Jawa graded by AFA http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif The fact that AFA frown upon such stickers shouldn't be a problem if the market value is increased by 50% to 100% - according to the aforementioned book http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
