Hmmm... I wonder about the seller also.

I bought a piece from her that I don't believe was what she sold it as. It was a sold as a non-sonic welded figure and I had my suspicions that it might be a case where the figure's sonic weld was in fact broken after it was sold at retail. When I received the figure it does seem to have a very faint residue where the weld would have been. Of course I have no idea if she was aware of this so I didn't press the issue, chalked it up to experience, and determined not to buy from her again. I prefer to buy from people who err on the side of caution and honesty when they advertise.

Judging from this auction she may in fact be trying to skirt the fringes of dishonesty by playing ignorant.

EDIT: Now there's another thread about this seller and an eBay auction for a LL Vader that isn't actually LL.

She burnt me with a Luke Poncho blaster (no circle on handle or pimple before the barrel)and then sends me an upgraded (circle on handle but no pimple before barrel)repro blaster.

She states she never deals in repros, but it is becoming quite obvious that isn't true. She refunded me when I complained about the repro gun I was sent so I didn't neg her (though, I did state she sent me a repro).

I've not seen any other comments to that effect, I don't understand how her feedback is so good http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I've said this before so forgive me, but she also doesn't like leaving feedback which really p***** me off.

I made the mistake of not leaving negative feedback for her. I purchased a lot of different figures at once which were in great shape and I was very happy. I figured it wasn't worth her leaving negative feedback for me. Won't happen again. Sorry if I let anyone down.

You've let no-one down. Just a general comment on my behalf, it's hard leaving negs against power sellers like her as she (if at all) only leaves feedback after she's received it first.

If you don't have much feedback to start with, getting retaliatory feedback off a 'respected seller' like her can ruin your credibility - that's why ebay feedback sucks my socks http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I just commented in the other thread and then I saw this. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say she knew. At one time she was selling SW, ESB, and ROTJ non-sonic welded figures all at the same time. These aren't common and when you see somebody selling original Han, original Leia, Fett, and about a dozen other figures spanning the line it screams suspect to me. A guy I know bought a few and I didn't find out until *after* he won them. Sadly, when he did it the evidence was staring him in the face but he chose to ignore it. Consider yourself lucky you only bought one and not a few like he did.

Good point John, At the time I bought mine she only had a couple (which made me suspicious). In fact I emailed her to see if she could instantly 'produce' one when I asked about a particular character. I figured she would probably never have it if she was legit. She never took the bait (didn't have one).

For me, it was really a matter that I knew I was going out on a limb, I decided if it was a fake I would at least have some idea what to look out for in the future. Plus, once I got it I found it really wasn't as obvious as I was hoping. I had no way to create an image that would let anyone less see the weld area closely either or I would have posted a question here about it. Since her feedback seemed pretty good and I didn't feel comfortable raising an accusation I wasn't sure of at the time.

In hind sight I wish I had drawn attention to her auctions here in the 'Watch Out' area at least, even as a question if not an accusation... maybe someone else could have confirmed what she was doing.

Here's another one of her auctions that doesn't add up in my book:

Imperial Commander Prototype? (http://cgi.ebay.com/Star-Wars-Vintage-Rare-Imperial-Commander-Prototype_W0QQitemZ200020558692QQihZ010QQcategoryZ 50277QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

She says in her listing "My main interests at the moment are Prototypes and Non Production pieces." Why sell off something that might be a 'pre-production figure' when you haven't definitively determined what it is, and it might fit your focus? Seems highly suspect to me, let alone the pictures.

I never realized "she" was a woman. The seller constantly outbids me on lots that I really want. Almost to the point I become paranoid about bidding on certain lots, because it feels like I'm being watched. For this reason, I would never buy a thing from her on principle. You run into this type of Seller all too often, the only time they sell is when they are attempting to weed the mediocrity out of their collection.

LOL That's just a regualr old beat up figure. Funny part is there are variants of that figure w/ no CRs. They should have tried to pass that one off. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm not sure if you're refrring to the same thing, but I know I've heard there a Euro version of the Imperial Officer with lighter colored hair and no marking. A few months back she was selling one of these as a prototype. It was discussed here a bit.

Sorry to hear about your experience. I have dealt with Sarah before and she went the extra mile to send me a Replacements Pair of Vintage Lumat and Paploo with their Original accessories, when the first pair got LOST in delivery. This was done on her OWN expense and costs. I have no qualms about giving her my repeated business in eBay. But that's just my personal experience. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Then maybe you'd like to buy this great non-sonic weld figure she sold me? I'll even give you a great deal, half what I paid her for it, and I'll include free shipping!

Btw... do you know for certain that she even sent you the item the first time. It wouldn't be the first time I've seen a seller forget to ship something then say they they'll send you out a second same item at their own expense.

A stinking piece of crap wrapped in pretty paper is still a stinking piece of crap. Attempting to make it appear like something else will just get you covered in it. Careful you don't get your hands dirty.

Probably because she knew she had already sold it to someone else who offered her more than your auction end price.

Yeah maybe I'm being cynical... but I think it's a safer bet that many of her happy customers are too gullible.

I have dealt with real crooked eBay sellers before that have given me lots of B***S*** that they have shipped my items out and had done NOTHING about the transaction despite me lodging complaints against them with eBay. IF she did not send me my eBay purchases for the first time, then why would she have even bothered to send the same items out to me again when it is much, much more convenient and easier for her to e-mail me with more falsehood and lies?

Nevertheless thank you for sharing your experience in purchasing that non-sonic weld figure with us here in the Vintage Watch Out! (http://threads.rebelscum.com/postlist.php?Cat=5&Board=vintageebay&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=) Section. It is good to see the other side of the coin based on the first hand experiences of other RebelScum Forum members who have dealt with her, like in your case here.

Because her intention wasnt to not mail your item. Lots of sellers screw up and forget to mail it out. Then when the buyer emails the wondering about their item they can easily say, Oh it must have got lost, Ill send you another one, instead of just admitting, Oh I screwed up and forgot to mail it 3 weeks ago. Any dishonest person would much rather come out of such a situation smelling like a rose, their customer all happy that she went the extra mile.

Anyways, your situation is neither here nor there. She has these auctions going that are blatant lies.

But she doesnt want to be known as a scammer, she only wants to get away with it when she can do it without everyone knowing whats she is up to.

It should be pretty obvious that shes trying to do a balancing act between outrightly scamming people while maintaining some false credibility. She makes claims in her auctions that are not true. If someone realizes they were ripped off and she gets called out on it, then she plays dumb (Oh I didnt know that wasnt a Lili Ledy Vader) and can essentially pay her way out by giving a refund or replacement piece. If the buyer doesnt realize they have ripped off then she makes an easy profit. She obviously has no conscience. What she is doing is dishonest. Period.

I have only dealt with her a few times and never had any major problems other than the very slow delivery.

I used to buy a lot from her (ex?) boyfriend who used to sell on ebay as pogle1 or something similar and he was exactly the same.

I would probably buy more but the postage rates are crazy.

Didn't this person used to have a different ID (as a man)?

I am sure the description/auction presentation seem very familiar.
