That looks like a plastic, not metal, so it couldn't be used for jello or baking.

Looks like a soap dish that you'd find in your bathroom.

I have made jello on plastic molds, why do you say it can't be done? Uh, I should get back in topic.

Looks exactly like some cheap, think silver plastic larger "pellet" type things we have here for a toy gun. They wouldn't stand up to an oven or microwave. The plastic jello molds are much stronger, heat resistant material.

Oh! I get you now http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/blush.gif, see I live in Mexico and most of the stuff that the stores sell in here are made out of poor quality platic, most of them are chinese products and that include Jello molds, so you see? my observation was correct, at least in this part of the world we have low quality plastic molds for making Jello, http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I can't help but respond as this is such an interesting debate here.

I feel manly enough to say that Jello and Easy Bake Oven molds have nothing to do with real ovens, microwaves or heat resistance.

I have never thrown an oven or microwave into the mix while making Jello and my Easy Bake runs on a 60 watt bulb! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

at least the auction does say rebacked, which I can only assume means it's a recard.

This thread was meant as a joke about the poor quality of the "shield" that is in with this custom reproduction of an Uzay Headman . A real carded Headman, IF one showed up on Ebay, could easilly top $20,000.

Oh I figured everyone was complaining, since this was in the vintage watch out section.

The Watch Out! Category
-This is where all discussion about fakes, recards, reseals and any other dubious items is to take place. Also, bad eBay dealers and known scammers can be discussed here. All eBay related threads are to be posted in this category as well - this includes funny ha ha auctions and fishy auctions. Members are still not permitted to link to their own eBay auctions.

This falls under the ha ha category. I just thought the replica shield was really funny and resembled bakeware. I was surprised to see some took the Jello mold side, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif
