I wanted to get an opinion on this sellers auctions..

Lili Ledy unused parts/prototypes (http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZbanthaproQQhtZ-1)

The pictures look good to me and I have bounced an e-mail off him as well, with no reply. Any notion on them being fakes or are they legit?? Opinions please..

Hard to say. The seller is new and he has private feedback which bothers me. The fact that he never replied may be a warning sign too. Also, some of the pieces he's selling were never part of that Ledy find like Zuckuss and Rancor Keeper. In fact, most of them weren't included in those boxes of parts Pedro found.

However, the torsos don't look to have broken welds. They look like they were never welded. The group shots he shows look kind of promising too.

The copyright info is something I'd like to know more about. He says many of them are blank like US first shots. I'm curious what kind of markings those particular production Ledys had.

All in all I'd still want to know a bit more before I decided to bid.

What bothers me the most is that the group shot is taken on a carpet thats
identical to one in a picture I recieved from Lililedyguy2 when he was active
with his notorious LL "prototypes".

That picture also contained lots of LL "proto" parts on a grey carpet and the
quality of the picture was very similiar to this. Maybe its just a coincidence or
maybe its the same guy who's trying to do a new scam under a new name http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I hope I still have the picture on my work computer so I have to look more
careful on monday. I'll be back...

I was looking at these too - very curious.

He says "no COO " on them. If you look at the picture of chewbacca you can clearly see some text on his upper left thigh, though it probably is something like "LFL1977", and therefore the "no COO" designation is correct, because there is no COO. At best that makes this particular figure simply a non-painted unassembled production figure.

The only one w/out any markings seems to be the B-Wing Pilot, which is also in non-production colors. That one at least seems to have the possibility of being pre-production, but I'm no Ledy expert.

His communication is pretty bad too. I emailed him after his first run of "protos" and he responded but not to subsequent emails.

My take on the lot is its mostly production pieces that were never used.

I've bounced a few emails with the seller and made a purchase of a couple of complete figs and some unpainted heads ( yet to arrive). Communication wasn't really a problem I have to say. Maybe he was swamped with messages after his initial auction?

However I have have bought them on the understanding that they are unpainted factory overstock and not pre-prod in nature. Still think they'll make a nice addition to my Return run.

The following was just closed down because it was in the "vintage toys" section. i'm sure it is lililedyguy/lililedydealer's new ebay account. there are many signs of this. i can tell a mile away that the boba fett has been striped. anyways this was wrote by luis: Hello Friends

There are some Ledy auctions on ebay using the word "prototype" what is incorrect because probably some of the pieces showed could be overstock pieces.

But the follow auction on ebay:

Boba auction

Is suspicious for me, because the original Ledy Boba Fett figure was molded using the same plastic color for the torso, head and limbs but the one showed in the auction has a torso in a different light color.

That torso looks like the US version, then probably this guy is using a Kenner torso to complete that figure.

The same happends with the Zuckuss auction:

Zuckuss auction

Also the torso looks like Kenner version (clear gray plastic color and clear silver paint in the belly) because Ledy used a little dark grey plastic plus dark silver paint for the belly.

Then beware because in these two auctions this guy is trying to sell fakes.

Also in one of his first ebay auctions (a "Stormtropper prototype") he told that he only has some loose parts and some complete figures (as he said in his auction: the figures that can be completed are the stormtrooper in auction, a ree yees, a couple of jawas, a paploo, a biker scout, a leia prorotype boushh, a leia endor, and a B-wing pilot without leg markings).

First Stormtrooper auction

All this before he complete the boba, zuckuss and probably other figures that nowadays he's offering on ebay.

I hope this can help

Luis,

Thank you for the information and specifics about the auctions. I had hoped the seller would not be lililedyguy, but the signs are more apparent now. Thanks again..

UHM, I just sent money for the chewbacca. I understand that it may be overstock not welded together. I am ok with that. I just hope I get something for my money that I expepected to get.

well 13 days isnt too long to wait....

looked too good to be true.

hope I dont have to go through the hassle with paypal.

Just got an Ebay email from banthapro. He is concerned with the thread, he has seen it. He emailed me and assured me that he has the item and it is ready to ship. I also asked that he re-open his ratings so that they may be seen and not private.

as soon as I get this I will re post in this thread.

Received my figures and parts. All 3 figures have manufacture dates on the legs but no coo. As I said above, I bought them as unassembled overstock so am happy with what I got.

Hope the Chewy turns up soon.

I already post this comment in other thread, but I think it should be here too as its related.

-----------------------------
I completed a transaction with Banthapro, after some e-mails there was alot of friction and mistrust from both parts, then he talk to me by phone and we were suposed to meet him in person, but he didn't arrive, his brother arrived with the pieces and it was a flawless transaction.
After looking closely to some of the pieces, I noticed they have different COO variations, so my guess are that not all of them are lili ledy (probably I'm wrong), but I'm happy with my purchase.
Banthapro told me by phone he wasn't Makero_mx (who told his name was Marco).
So Makero_mx, Banthapro and lililedyguy aren't the same person if this info is correct.

Thank you for the information about the figures and transaction. I happened to be outbid for the jawa and the ending price suprised me ($255.00), but no big deal. Hopefully another one turns up in the future..

There were Rancor Keeper parts in Pedro's find. I am 1000% sure of this since I saw a huge bag full and got some. Most were all the left leg.

The picture has some stuff that matchs perfectly IMO to pieces I got directly from Pedro so I would venture to say that this stuff looks to be overstock and unused parts.

I didn't know about those. Thanx for the info. I got a pretty decent sized lot from him about 4 or 5 years ago and there were no Rancor Keeper parts at all. Good to know other parts where in that find.

Thanks for chiming in James.

Funnily enough I have just completed another deal with Banthapro 24 hours prior to this for a complete Rancor Keeper and a couple of unpainted heads. Again I have had no problems with quick responses to my mails and friendly replies etc.

I started this thread under the assumption that banthapro and lililedyguy were one and the same. Well, I was WRONG.. I received an e-mail from Andres (banthapro) last night. Included was an explaination and more pictures of the unused ledy parts. I wanted to post the e-mail (permission granted) and the pictures to hopefully clear this up.

************************************************** **********
E-mail:
hello my name is Andres. im from mexico and i saw your post on the rebelscum
forum and there is where i get your email adress and your name.
i hope not to bither you with this but:

can you help me out?

i want to sell all my remaining ledy parts stuff and i was wondering if you can
put them on pictures of them on the rebelscum forum to see if someone is
interested in buying them at a fair price for me and the buyer.

here are some pictures on the pieces that i still have and if you could post
them on the forum that would be great.

do you think that it is posible?

but first i think i owe you a couple of explanations.

all right, first thing first,
this is a little embarasing for me but my feedback is private because i have
bought a couple of "adult" items on ebay and im a little embarassed about that
but that is the only thig that i have to hide because its a little ebarasing. i guess you
understand me.( please dont tell anyone unless you really must)

i have a little trouble in understanding english especially in long letters so i
have to ask my school teacher to translate almost all my messages for me
especialy if they are long mesages. that is why sometimes is hard for me to rely
the questions on ebay.

but i have already recived possitive feedback comments about the pieces that i
have sold on ebay from Juan Islas and afew other buyers from the UK and the US.
so im not trying to scam anyone. i swear im a honest person.

i bought that carded jawa from Makero MX because i had the money and the
posibility to pick the figure in person and i thought it could be a good
investment for the future, and on top of that the lili ledy jawa was my very
first star wars figure when i was a kid. so i bought it, at first i was a little
without trust to that guy but i talked to him on the phone and we arranged a
meeting at the bank. the sellers name is Marco and he did had the figure, in fact i have with me
right now so i can prove it but it wasnt the same on the ebay pics. it was a
different figure but a very nice one.
i swear that im not the same person as he is.

i hope that this will help.

thanks.
Andres

It was pretty difficult to understand that message or am I the only one not catching his drift? http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/confused.gif

And I am not sure if this e-mail clears his name at all. Is anyone here convinced?

I for one collect Ledys and would be very interrested in pieces like these but it would be great to get them authenticated before spending a big pile of cash on it. So if anyone can confirm the pieces and can set up a deal I would be interrested in a few pieces.

Hehe, and nice outing of the adult material-part. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Actually, that stuff looks fine to me. It's just fatory overstock. None of them are prototypes but still neat. I've had several pieces like this in my collection over the years and sold some myself.

They shouldn't be anything else. Mexico only produced the short mouth version. I've got some of them too. Drop me a line if you want any of this stuff. I don't have as much as him but I have some left from stuff I bought years back from Pedro.

Sorry, I don't check this forum too much and have been busy lately. From what I can see of those pics, the characters & types of items as well as the appearance of some pieces leads me to believe these are "legit" overstock pieces. It's always good to check for things like signs that torsos have been broken apart or that some limbs haven't been scavenged from complete figures to build a complete non-sonic welded item. There are some legit non-sonic complete pieces that turned up, but there's also been some kit-bashing done. Not always with an intent to deceive per se, but one should ask to see pics inside torsos to see what they look like (hard to get people to send good pics, I know). I'm almost done sorting out the remnants of Pedro's stuff he sent me and I've been trying to be conservative about what's what.

Hi Guys

As there was a lot of views to this thread, I thought I'd bump it back up to say that I got my 3rd package from Andres today. All figures and parts that I have bought I am happy with. There was a small issue with my 2nd package but after some emails this was resolved and a replacement was sent free of charge in my 3rd package http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I've had no communication problems what-so-ever. All I will say to people is the shipping took about 5 weeks due to the postal service so bear this in mind.

Waiting times on postage from Mexico appear to be a nightmare and the last Mexican dealer I tried to buy a Ledy Jawa off got mugged during the week on his way to the PO to post my figure http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I would like to start out by saying that this seller has been incredibly kind, responsive, and polite through this entire process. I really do believe he is a stand-up guy. With that being said, I've hit a mild snag that believe to be an honest mistake.

I received my order today and was so excited to pick it up from the post office! However, there was a slight problem with the figure. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif

This is the picture from the auction:
http://forum.rebelscum.com/photogallery/data//500/thumbs/f3_1.jpg (http://forum.rebelscum.com/imagepopup.php?imagename=http://forum.rebelscum.com/photogallery/data//500/f3_1.jpg)

And this is what I actually received:
http://forum.rebelscum.com/photogallery/data//500/thumbs/Ledy_Yoda_Parts_mine_.JPG (http://forum.rebelscum.com/imagepopup.php?imagename=http://forum.rebelscum.com/photogallery/data//500/Ledy_Yoda_Parts_mine_.JPG)

The seller was kind enough to throw in some extra unused parts, but unfortunately, HE SENT TWO UNPAINTED LEFT LEGS. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif

So, my figure is incomplete and is NOT what was pictured in the auction. I have contacted the seller to point out the error and have requested that he mail the unpainted right leg. I just sent the email a few minutes ago, so I will keep you posted on what happens. I am a little nervous because I asked him during the original purchase if he had any more Yoda items and he said that I purchased everything he had left. I hope that doesn't mean he no longer has an unpainted right leg. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif We shall see.

I'm pleased that he had another piece for me, so I don't begrudge paying what I did since limbs are the same price, but now I need to negotiate with him for the other arm, and to see if he can dig up any other parts for me.

He did throw in a couple of extras, so that's cool. I got 2 Bespin Luke heads made from slightly different shades of plastic. Neither are painted, so they will go along with the 2 I got from JohnA. I also got a Jedi Luke head, because according to Shameonyou, and one of the figures in Martjin's collection, Bespin Luke sometimes had a jedi Luke head.

Unfortunately not John, but Andres has filed a claim and is trying to figure
out what has happened with the package.

But I recieved one package, unfortunately not the one with the chirpa parts,
just a silly Biker Scout http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Got my Ledy Jawa today and I am delighted. It took 3 weeks to get from Mexico to Ireland which is pretty acceptable considering the fact that it takes a lot of dealers closer to home a lot longer to get their packages out.

5 Stars for Andre, Top bloke http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Andres advised me that he might be willing to release full figures soon, I'll let you know what he decides.

A very happy ending:

Andres not only sent me the correct leg, but also included some other great pieces for FREE and offered me several more WONDERFUL items from his collection. His package arrived today, and I was completely stoked to put together my unpainted Yoda, and I was even MORE excited about the extra stuff I purchased!!! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif Andres is a great, great guy and I cannot say enough about his character. Buy with confidence.

Also, he is selling off the rest of his collection of unpainted, non-sonic welded Lili Ledy figures through a post I put up for him in the vintage classifieds. I highly recommend you swing by and check it out!
