from those Toyfair pics, does it look to anyone else like he's smaller than he should be?

I don't know if he is smaller but I can tell you that statue is going to need a lot of space to display it.
Look how high and far back his arms go with those lightsabers.

I think one of the reasons alot of people, me being included, think this grievous statue is SS's best statue thus far is due largely in part that he has no real clothing. What I mean is that since he has no cloth clothes on or anything he really looks like a statue. To me all the other SS statues just look like big 12" dolls and I think alot of that is due to the real cloth they are wearing.

I think he looks smaller because of his posture. His knees are bent and he is bent at the waist. When I saw it at C3 he was huge so unless they changed the size I would say he is the just about right.

I hear ya Orlando! I'm thinking a 20x20x27" case will fit it just right. Man, I can't wait until my exclusive Grievous ships. The SS 1/4 PF statue line far surpasses any other statue line I have collected...EVER! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Have you ever seen one in person? I felt the same way until I got my first Star Wars PF. Now, I don't like buying statues that DON'T have real cloth. I lined the 3 of mine up for a pic a few days ago when someone asked for one:

They're pretty amazing, indeed. They make all the GG statues look like little toys. I sold my GG Dewback last week to pay for Vader. It just didn't compare to these, IMO.

Well, if we're putting up pics, here are mine (http://community-2.webtv.net/Mini-Rock/MyNewDirection/). http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I don't know if I'd go so far to say that the SS 1/4 statue's make the GG statue's look like toys, but I do think the SW PF line far surpasses any other SW statue on the market. Personally, I think we get a really great product from GG, and at a great price too. That said, I'll be following in your footsteps here soon too, el, since I'll be putting up my Sandtrooper on Dewback up on eBay in the next week or so. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Well, you'll have real clothing if you buy the exclusive version - it comes with Grievous' cape.

Sideshow Grievous coming soon?

I was just informed today my wait list reservation for the exclusive has been turned into an order. I wonder if the first batch of these are about ready to go?

I think the last newsletter said April for Grievous. I could easily see that turning into May or June, though.

Right blue. It was also mentioned on the SSF boards that Ben and Grievous are scheduled to ship about a month apart, and they are both running on schedule. I imagine maybe a week lag time at the most. For me, these can't come soon enough. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Man, I can't wait but I need to clean some space first!!!

This is the kind of piece that you should display in the middle of the room so you can appreciate it from every angle.

MiniRock- awesome setup. love the cases for the Sideshow PFs. i'm still waiting for my Han and Vader but the Luke is fantastic. it's a great line, can't wait for a Maul and Fett (which i'm sure are coming soon)

Too expensive. The Luke was not too accurate a likeness and so I wouldn't trust this, either. Don't get me wrong, I think these are awesome but for my budget they just aren't good enough.

Yes, I have seen one in person. I used to own the Luke. I do think some of these look really good but they just don't WOW me and their price really runs me away from collecting the line, just too expensive for my budget.

I like this line a lot, but I never planned to buy every single one of their pieces. I bought Vader because I think is amazing, I preordered Grievous because it completely left me with my mouth open when I saw it in C3, all the others I can live without mainly because I always like the dark side.
These pieces are not cheap but this year all the money that I am not putting in MR and Code 3 will go to either them (Marvel), Attakus or GG.

Thanks guys! I had to move the rest of my MR props, Code3 ships, and GG statue's to the other side of the room in order to set-up this new display. I'm really happy with it and will be even happier when SS ships out Ben, Grievous, Leia, and the Maul and Greedo busts. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Orlando, my MR purchases will be minimal this year also to make way for more SS 1/4 PF statue's and 1:1 busts. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It's funny...cause I was thinking the same thing the other day. When you put him next to Luke he does seem a bit short to say the least. I understand that he has his legs bent and he's hunched, but it still doesn't look right IMO. I'll have to watch ROTS again to see how Grevious's size compares to Obi-Wan and Anakin...but I thought he was at least as tall as Vader. Based on the pics...Vader will definitely look a lot bigger than Grevious.

It looks to me that Luke is up on some sort of riser isn't he? I ordered the Grievous myself and have thought of canceling it but people who have seen it in person keep telling me to keep it, that it is amazing! Time will tell http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I saw the PF Luke, Han, Vader, and Grievous, in person and up close, at C3. The Grievous blows all of them out of the water! IMHO the best looking SW collectible out there. I liked it so much I pre-ordered the Sideshow exclusive one the minute I had the chance. It is VERY impressive
