Here are pics of my latest purchase, the fantastic Millenium Falcon and Death Star Diorama made by Attakus.

It is part of their "Metal" collection . The diorama is in resin but the figures that will accompany it will be in metal.

As my shop had not received the metal figures at the time i took the pictures, i put some hasbro figures in it, same scale ...

The weight of the diorama is nearly 120 kilos.

Enjoy ! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

WOW.... not for me but I definitely respect your obsession.

Isn't that like $3000 or something like that. It looks to be about 5ft long?

Wow!! Thanks for posting those pictures. I didn't know it was released yet. I've been curious to see how it fits in with the Hasbro figures and it looks excellent. I've got one of the dioramas on order with Toy Palace so hopefully I should get it fairly soon. Can't wait for it.

THIS is what I have wanted Hasbro to do for the collectors for 10 years now. Geez Hasbro look at this. This is what we want. At least give us something similar in quality thru online buying for a decent price.

I feel the same way. The figures cheapen it up.

That's amazing! I didn't realize it was to scale with the Hasbro figures. Do you have any pics of what the Attakus metal figures are supposed to look like? I have a feeling you're actually getting more versatility out of the Hasbro figs...

BTW, I've seen some really cool customs to scale of the Hasbro figs... things like the Tantive IV (huge!), an AT-ST... so no doubt this is a cool idea.

Attakus is too expensive for my taste but that is very impressive...wish I had that amount of cash lying around to spend on one toy.....wow!!!

Impressive

I just put some figures to make a size comparison, i will certainly not let hasbro crap ruin this magnificent piece ! My shop received a couple of hours ago the Metal figures that are designed for this display, when i'll get these in hand, i'll post other pics. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I don't consider this a toy ... it's more a piece of art ! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Absolutley breathtaking!!!!

I had no idea that this was to scale with Hasbro Figs!!!

WoW!!! That is a lot of money!!!!

My wife would kill me if I got this! Oh to see her initial reaction after I told her how much it cost right before she chopped my head off!!!! They say that you can see up to 1 minute after your head has been severed. Read that somewhere in college while studying Shakespere.

Anyways back on topic:
5 feet long? That is impressive. Are the metal figures going to be available without purchasing the Falcon?
If Attakus puts this much detail into the diorama, I cant wait to see the 3 1/4" metal "scupltures" that they come out with!!!!

I got mine yesterday and it is amazing - everything I hoped it would be and more. Just got to find a proper place to put it now. I've passed on the Attakus figures though as I bought it for my Hasbro figures.

Anybody know the cost of this in dollars? This looks incredible, but the cut-away just doesn't do it for me. Now the Dagobah set looks awesome, and depending on when it's released and cost, I could go for that (as long as it isn't around the same time as the SS Falcon)

colpar

Release of the Dagobah diorama is set for 2007 ( no more precise date available ). Price should be around $3k as the falcon/death star diorama.

Anyone know of where they can be bought in the US. Cant find them anywhere. Fireside told me they were for the UK. I am hoping SSW gets a few. Anyone know?

As far as I know they are not available for US distribution ( I might be wrong here though ). They are available through http://www.toy-palace.com for example but I know the shipping rates are high as this item is about 150 kg weight and the boxes are very big. But if you can afford it - it's worth it http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif I have one myself and this one is just impressive.

I also got mine from Toy Palace. They are the only place I have seen them available from
