Has anyone done a count?

I keep starting and I get side tracked by something shiny. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Return of the Jedi? or Episode I...

Not with any hard proof, but I believe that 'Return of the Jedi' has had the most figures over the years.

ROTS has 68 basic plus and additional 32 plus in pack-ins, deluxe, exclusives , etc...

I think that blows any episode out of the water, even if you figure in Vintage counterparts.

I was thinking that it might be ROTJ too.

What got me thinking of it is that I am packing all of my Star Wars figs up http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif because I am trying to sell my house. Anyway, I have all my figures in separate containers divided up by Episode. My ROTJ container seems to be the most full.

Really? I thought for sure it was A New Hope.

Well I am including all figures in my estimate from Vintage onwards. Whereas A New Hope only had the original twelve and many others throughout the various series, Return of the Jedi's vintage line was quite big and we have seen many Jabba's Palace and Endor related denizens through the years.

It was ROTS.

Doubtful. It's characters' figures have only been in production now for less than one year.

Have to say ROTJ or TPM.

I'm with you on that one. Are we talking about just movie sets (Vintage, EP. I, Saga, ROTS) or all the figures combined coming from one movie? I'd figure with all the Cantina dudes and resculpts of the main cast from ANH, that they'd be the winner.

I'd go with ROTS as well, the ROTS line saw well over 70 figures not only carded but in deluxe, vehicles etc.

Here are the number from my collection. I included basic, deluxe, multipacks, packins.
I left a few since I dont pick up recarded figures.

TPM: 124
AOTC: 142
ROTS: 107
ANH: 147
ESB: 98
ROTJ: 115
EU: 63

Looks like you're right. The variety of Tatooine Lukes probably makes up for almost half that count. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thanks or the numbers, Scoob.

So, Hammerhead, Greedo, Walrusman, Snaggletooth, R5D4, Power Driod, Death Star droid and Luke X-wing don;t count as part of the first 20? http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Also, are updates and resculpts counted?
