Pretty neat set-up you've got there. I've been waiting to see someone take some pictures of the three super-articulated figures together in a duel. They certainly look nice together. I can't wait ot find that Obi-Wan!

Wow great work! The poses you put them in are just fantastic!

Very cool setup indeed http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/cool.gif! Where did those steps come from, by the way?

Beautiful! I love it! Excellent photography and poses, and effects. Totally a surprise too to see this!

Question - Where did you get those steps at? I'd really, really love to know.

First, thanks for the feedback guys. Most of the dueling poses were actually just me playing around with each figure to see what actual stance and positions they can attain. The one section of the battle that remains movie accurate is when Dooku’s hands are severed by Anakin, (that’s pretty close to how it happened in the film).

The saber effect is just like a Photoshop trick that’s commonly used by other members here, nothing too special about that…

I’d really love to do a Mustafar battle scene but unfortunately the Hasbro play set is kind of limiting on the size a scale. I wish I could borrow some of the awesome dioramas I see here especially the Mustafar custom diorama made by The Professor…

Very nie pics, I especially like Anakin's pose in the second pic. If only Hasbro would release the Anakin as a basic fig, I don't want to buy the whole Evolutions Set just for that figure. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I have to know too though, where did those stairs come from?

The stairs came from the new Unleashed Vader, it worked quite well even though it was made for a bigger scale of figures...

Look at all of those GREAT poses! http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/ooo.gif
I am truly amazed at your post, archrivals!
I would love to see you do a Mustafar duel! Don't worry about the playset being limiting, I mean look what you did with no playset at all. I'm sure you could make it look cool. Again, fantastic job!

Damn, I wish I had those stairs!!

Nice work. The use of the Jedi V. Sith drop is great. I love that and saved it from the packaging.

Minor criticism - next time try putting down a simple piece of gray posterboard or foamcore on the ground to cover the furniture.

Other than that, great poses and fx!!

You are so right about the floor issue. I thought about that after the fact. The next one I do will have a floor that matches the scene… Mustafar will be my next one; this is going to require some planning on this one. Thanks again for the feedback guys…

Might want to try using the screening attribute under the layers settings. Its in the Type of layer when you make a New Layer. You set up copies of that layer than Blur each layer at x2 the starting number. Then merge the layers. It looks 100% more accurate to the movies than the Outer Glow.

Good stuff, archrivals!

The poses are dead-on and the backgroudns are creative, but serve the purpose perfectly. Got any more?

Thanks for the mention, archrivals. Your set-up of these figures is great. Great figures, great photographer, great mini-diorama! What more could you ask for! As for Mustafar, I don't have a photonovel, but there will be more pictures soon.

May I suggest not using the flash ? It really washes out details, ald give ugly white spots, for the rest, I like what you have done.

BTW, the outer glow thingie CAN be used correctly, as long as the settigns are right.

It's tempting to pick up the Vader unleashed just for the stairs!
