So is this the only new line that we know of? Is it confirmed to only have these many figures?

Battle of Carkoon from Episode VI will include 6 figures
Battle of Hoth from Episode V will include 8 figures
Battle of Coruscant from Episode III will include 6 figures
Battle of Geonosis from Episode II will include 7 figures
Battle of Tatooine from Episode IV will include 7 figures
Battle of Endor from Episode VI will include 8 figures
Battle of Naboo from Episode I will include 8 figures
Battle of Death Star from Episode IV will include 6 figures

Perhaps an EU line after it or they will just continue this line?

"Only" that many figures? 56 figures in one year is huge. I'd say that's quite a few.

Yeah I mean that is impressinve for a non-movie year. It will probably be 25 figs the next year. If that.

I know I posted saying I like the new direction hasbro is taking with the packaging but I want to bring up a point. If hasbro wants to remain on a good deal of collectors lists I feel hasbro should really think about trimming down on the repacks in prettier packages. And focus more on brand new figures cause now that there is no new movie, sales will probably be down and people don't want the same old same old. By releasing new stuff it will keep all of us interested and make the future of sw toy collceting look bright.

You have to realize that Hasbro is also trying to keep kids involved in the line, and build the collectors of tomorrow. Most kids want characters they recognize, hence why Hasbro will continue to keep certain core characters available on the pegs. This is easier to do with rehashes. I agree that they should make all-new, obscure figures only, but that's me as a long-time collector speaking. Business-wise, I know that that would kill the line even faster.

Yeah I know what your saying. Why can't hasbro just make two lines then. One consisting of main characters where they produce a lot of figures. And a second line making up new never been done figures. The second line doesn't have to be overproduced but just enough to make the collectors like ourselves happy.

When can we see the new stuff in retail? 2006?

Yep, 2006 is the set retail as of the moment.

I cannot wait for this new line. It'll give me a chance to catch up a little, being that I just started collecting. I'll also be able to get some new sculpts, as well.

Interesting point, but aren't todays kids growing up on the Prequel Trilogies? Why do So many Han, Luke, and so on?

We could always see the line in late december, over the last few years we've seen the next years figures released earlier then expected. We'll see.

Ahhh yes a new section...always a good thing!
