Just wanted to express my happy feelings about going to the Iron Maiden concert in Gothenburg tomorrow. Swedish TV will even broadcast the concert! First time since band aid back in -85 or so that a concert is broadcasted live in swedish television.

Any more maiden fans in here?

Anyhow, have a nice weekend and up the irons!

Only my all time favorite metal band!!!! Have been since 1987 and I first got Somewhere in Time through Columbia House. Soon after it was Seventh Son of a Seventh Son!!! And then pretty much all of their albums!!!

To show my love of Eddie and crew I had me a stonewashed denim jacket with a full back patch of Number of the Beast!!! Good times!!!

Oh and I've seen em twice!!!

My favorite guitar album!!

My favorite becuase it was the first!!

My favorite Synthesizer heavy album!!

yep , that was 18 years ago .... http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/blush.gif . back in the day i went to alot of shows like that ..the crue , aerosmith ,tesla ,pearl jam ect..i saw white zombie at ahole in the wall b4 they got big..got on stage with rob and the rest and a big bouncer who looked like tiger man from buck rogers , tried throwing me off...man , that was a great time..no retard terrorist's , pc virus's or PC to ruin stuff. Once , in 89 i got on the bus with LA Guns ..those guys can smoke out!The weirdest show was Dogstar , the whole time in between songs i kept yelling " Wylde Stallions"!!! Keanu was cool at first and after the 5th time he looked really pissed and flipped me off. I was only 3 ft away from him , it was freaking hilarious !! sorry , off topic.

They're coming to Buffalo, I think. I don't know if I want to see other groups and stand for just one group, even if it is Iron Maiden!!! We'll see what happens!!!

I saw them when they replaced bruce. they kicked [censored] and had the vocals down so low you couldn't hear them which was probably a good thing. I caught a drum stick that night it was pretty awesome.

One of my favorite bands as well, but unfortunately I have never seen them! I remember back in the day (mid to late 80's)I had super long hair and a beat up old denim jacket with a backpatch which had the album cover from the Killers (one of their best!!)album. Great times!

Iron maiden rulez.

I have most of their studio albums, only missing The X Factor and Virtual XI. I don't have any of their live albums nor any of their Greats Hits / Best of.

I would like to get those speial 10-years anniversery albums, but they are almost imppossible to get here. I didn't buy any of them back then, and still don't have any of them.

btw: Is their video-game Ed hunter any good or just crap?

If anyone wants to listen to the concert (which is going on now) head to http://www.sr.se/p3/live/ and klick on "Webbradio" (top left corner). The concert's on P3, so click "Lyssna" under that.

If you missed it, the show might be available for a week on the webpage. The links for listening are on the left (by the headphones) and there should be a link for "Lordag" (Saturday). Not sure on that though, will have to check.
