What's the worst store in the MD/VA/DC area for Star Wars items you've come across? What store should area collectors not even waste there time with. I know the store I've given up on is the Wal-Mart next to Arundel Mills. They are BY FAR the worst for Star Wars. Whenever I go there, they have maybe 6 figures on the pegs, some AttackTix, and a Chess set or 2. That's it.
What do you guys think is the worst store in the area?

I have to agree with you on your choice. I don't think I've ever found anything at that Walmart.

Walmart in Kingstown (Alexandria) VA. Awful. Always a MESS, never any new stock, always poorly displayed.

And any Kmart. Though Kmart keeps old merchandise out so long they actually become valuable b/c the stuff has long since disappeared from market. For example: Just found 5 or 6 Wave 1 OTC figures at one of them!

you want to see a pitiful store, check out the WalMart in Manassas. First of all the whole city is a hole. There SW display has about 40 pegs with maybe 10 figures for the last few weeks. It's depressing to see.

I've abandoned Walmart in my travels as well. The Waldorf and La Plata Walmarts are pathetic. Their SW selection is so weak, I'm thinking that they just gave up on ordering anything new. Oh well, my cash spends just as easily at Target and Toys R Us.

The worst I have seen has to be the new Wal Mart they just built in Towson (next to the Target and Toys R Us) I have yet to find anything there in 6 months, and im almost positve they have had the same 4 to 5 figs from when they first opened up the store still hanging on the pegs... http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I live right next to the Walmart in Kingstowne (w/in a mile anyway) and I have fairly good luck there... Well, better than the stupid TRU up the street. That one really stinks! The only luck I ever get is at WM, Target (Springfield) and sometimes (once or twice) Kohls. I think I missed the new variant Gree and Bly at the Kohls on Black Friday http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif Very sad about that as I LOVE clones. I have Gree and Bly but I really need those to finish my ROTS collection. I sort of live for Clones... http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Walmart in general is garbage. Their employees dont care at all about their customers or their merchandise. I have never bought any star wars merchandise from a walmart because of the fact that they never have anything at all. It just frustrates me how i want the twins but am never going to find them because the pathetic excuse for employees dont care to restock.

p.s. Sorry if you or anyone you know works or is affiliated with walmart.

Seems Wal-Mart is the armpit of the collecting society, unless you're in love with Hot Wheels, To be more specific the Wal-Mart in Golden Ring is just horrible, even in Wal-Mart terms.

There is a Wal-Mart on HW-1 by Ft Belvior that is like that. It's the a**crack of the area. I feel like I'm in a 3rd world country when I go there and I've never found anything 1/2 way decent at it either... http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I found the DVD release packs at the Rt. 1 WM a week before it came out. Went back 3 weeks later, still had all 3. It's a dump, but for some reason when it gets stock, it gets ALOT of it.

I see a lot of people bashing Walmart. I guess it just depends on what the store orders as far as stock goes. I know one of the Walmarts here in Fredericksburg, the Massaponox one in particlar, always has new stock. I'm always finding new stuff that I need there. Now K-Mart on the other hand, that's another story. The one in Fredericksburg on Rt. 3 is terrible. They don't order anything for like months. Although I have found some good finds at a couple of Richmond K-Marts. I would have to say that K-Mart is the worst for for shopping Star Wars.

Which one? I just loaded up on VTSC and Silver Slave I titanium just yesterday at the WM @ Ballsford and 234. I'd agree about the one on Liberia Ave. but, I was able to scoop all of Coruscant and actually left 3 Utapau Clones an Obi UGH, and an Ani UGH. The WalMart in Woodbridge (near Potomac Mills) had easily 60-100 figures the other week and were approaching last summer's amount of stock...I was literaly shocked that they had that many figs on pegs!
I almost exclusively buy from Target and Walmart in Manassas and Woodbridge and have EVERYTHING except Scorch with almost no hastle.
