I don't want chick flicks, eventhough i'm a chick, doesn't mean I like those. The only chick flicks I ever liked were Titanic and A Walk To Remember.

06-16-2005, 12:43 PM
I'll only recommend one,

AKIRA!! One of the best anime movies ever!!! You should like it with what you own!!! Highly recommended!!!

06-16-2005, 12:50 PM
What's Akira about?

06-16-2005, 12:51 PM
Don't know if you've seen them or not but you may like the following basedon on your post:

House of Flying Daggers
the Rid**** movies (Pitch Black, Chronicles of Rid****)
Office Space
Harold and Kumar go to White Castle (seriously!)
The Transporter
Tears of the Sun
28 Days Later
both Kill Bill volumes
King Arthur
Pirates of the Caribbean

I'm sure I could go on...

Honestly, I'm not sure of the plot. I know most of my friends that have seen Crouching Tiger and Hero liked it but I haven't seen it yet. Since you like CTHD I figure you might like it.

Hero, though, is a great Jet Li movie. The visuals in that are insane and the story has an interesting perspective on what makes a "hero."

Well when you get to Best Buy, take your list that you get from us, and look at all the DVD boxes to get a sense of what each movie is about!!! That way you aren't always asking what's that about!! DOn't want to think you're post padding!!!

Any of Hayao Miyazaki films (Castle of Cagliastro, Kiki's Delivery Service. Totoro, Porco Rosso, Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away.) Valley of the WInd/ Naussica go ahead anx\d watch. Its cool but after reading the comic it sucks. Chicks will also like most of them.

It's not a movie but, if you have Angel on DVD why don't you have Buffy... it's far and away superior to Angel in every way... I think http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Because I haven't gotten around to buying them, and buyins seasons 1-7 of Buffy and 1,2,4,5 of Angel is gonna cost A LOT.

Also thanks to everyone who offered help, I ended up getting Soul Survivors: The Killer Cut(great movie) and this $1 Asian double feature with Shaolin VS. Ninja and Chastity Kung Fu (looks crappy)
