The MPAA have finally updated their site to show the PG-13 rating for ROTS. As was rumoured, it's for 'violence and intense images'.
I'm keeping an eye on the BBFC to see what it gets over here. Of course, the rating doesn't really matter, but a '12' rating would indicate it's going to be pretty dark (as most of us are hoping).

I dunno 'bout u, but I think you've got to go "dark" in an origins story of DV. So the PG-13 is a welcome change in my book.

yeah i don't know what to think about about that,

i don't know how us certifications work but for instance in france a movie like se7en by david fincher was only restricted to people over 12

i guess rots won't get any restriction here

Over 12!?! So ... children could watch the violence and disturbing images of Se7en ... but young teens and adults couldn't???

Yikes! Really?

I remember actually being angry for several hours at the end of that movie. I assume that was what the director was going for.

Already the Parents are whining about the PG 13 rating. Saw an article in the NY daily news. Parents are up in arms about the PG 13 rating. Oh well guess a lot of "noisy" kiddies will not be sitting behind me kicking the back of my seat at the theater. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Well I'm going to the Midnight Showing, so there better not be any noisy kids!! I will throw something the parents way if I hear noise during the movie!!!
