Greetings DC collectors!

Im writing from Chicago but Ill be in Kennsington Maryland (just north of the Beltway on Connecticut) the week of May 19th visiting my brother. I was wondering where you would recommend we try to see ROTS. We are familiar with the Uptown theatre in the District but sort of assume it will be INSANELY crowded and we're just not up to camping out in huge lines for tickets. Are there any particularly GOOD theatres in the DC suburbs you would recommend? Preferably the newer more or less state of the art ones with stadium seating, great sound, etc. Also, can I assume you guys have Moviephone out there so we can order tickets ahead of time (again, we just dont want to stand in line)?

Thanks in advance!!

I'm assuming that the Senator theater in Baltimore will have it. There should also be a digital version in Annapolis. And then a large stadium seating venue called Muvico Egyptian 14 in Arundal Mills Mall, Hanover, MD.

I'm sorry, I was just kidding about Beltway Plaza. I was hoping someone would get the joke. It's not a real nice place. Don't go there.

If you will be in Kensington, I suggest going to see the movie in Rockville or the Kentlands. Both are nice places with alot of screens.

Oh you mean "Bulletway Plaza"? http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/grin.gif Yeah, don't go there, at night especially, but they have a Target there and the locals don't care for Star Wars figures, save for the college nerds from University of MD College Park down the street http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif Darth 666, where ya from?

Personally I would go to the Uptown in Washington DC, I have been there for all the SW movies and loved it. The screen is unmatched as far as I have seen.

the crowds and the wait at the Uptown are unmatched also... and they dont sell tickets online... that's why I DONT want to go to the Uptown

anyone recommend a good theatre in Maryland or VA?

Uptown is nice, but WAY uncomfortable.

I HIGHLY recommend AMC Hoffman Center in Alexandria VA. Its BRAND NEW, stadium seating, sound is INCREDIBLE, and no bad views. Also, crowds there on opening day are way into the movies...cheering etc...making it fun.

Can get tix through www.movietickets.com (http://www.movietickets.com)

I'm sure that most theaters would be sold out by now. I may be wrong.

Probably true, but Friday and Saturday should be just as good.

Thanks to everybody in MA/VA/DC who helped point us to a great place to see our last http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/frown.gif SW film!!!

The Senator is the only place i've ever gone to see any star wars movie and the only place i want to go. The sound is amazing,it seats 900,the theatre is beautiful, and the owner is such a genuine nice guy/star wars fan. I recommend anyone who wants to see ROTS again before its gone, to see it at the Senator.
