I pay for exclusive HS content, but I'm not allowed to save the QT-movies to my HD.

That is wrong. I paid for 'm, I should be allowed to save 'm.

It's crappy that they do that, keeping us from downloading the files (I link would be nice) but I guess they assume that then we won't buy the DVDs or it'll lead to piracy. Frankly, it airs on tv and I think people are way more likely to record that and bootleg discs then the lower quality downloads. I'm sure there is a way to save the files, but who needs Lucasfilm breathing down your neck about distributing that kind of info.

Have you tried to record the videos with Streambox Ripper or some such software? I've used these programs to rip music videos (wma. or wmv. files) from Launch but have not tested the program on QuickTime files...

it can be done with quicktime. in quick time preferences check the box that says save movies in disk cache. then do a search for it on your hard drive after it has downloaded.

Is it necessary to have quicktime pro to do this, just curious.

I found that some exclusive content is blocked by a transparent .gif but, you can read the pacge source information and find the actual pic you're looking for.
