Hi,

Has anyone had any dealings on ebay with a seller called kamarafigura2, he also has a shop called hinawski-house-collectables. He's selling some good stuff at the moment and I am tempted to spend quite a bit of money, but he has some recent bad feedback and I've been stung a couple of times on ebay recently so am being a bit cautious. I think I've seen his name on here before but can't remember in what context.

Hello, I have never come across this seller nor have I bought anything from him. I having any doubt...don`t bid.
It also depends on how much money we are talking about.

Thanks

Johan

Hi,

I took a chance and recently bought a couple of loose figures from this guy. One of which still hasn't arrived, but the one which has arrived (a standard jawa) is in very poor condition!

The auction described it as C9 excellent condition, etc, etc. It has several holes in the cape, the gun is a repro, and the figure is actually physically broken! The seal / glue which holds the front of the head to the back of the head has come apart, so you can see inside the poor little guys brain!

Frankly, I'm not impressed and would not recommend this seller. Absolutely no response to emails, no option to combine postage already high postage costs on multiple items. We'll see how the stormtrooper looks when / if he arrives.

I'm wondering whether its worth my time trying to send it back for a refund. Its probably not worth the effort and hassle, so I may just have to take a hit on this one and chalk it up to experience!

Hope this helps
Jim

Bought 2 loose figures off him around mid June.
A clean Speeder Bike Scout & General Madine. Original Weapons checked out, 6 quid. All kosher to me.

Proplem I have with some pure vintage ebay sellers (not mentioning any names), normally the person is stripping there own collections. The first month or two theres some great stuff available, but as they progress. It becomes a case of money for nothing, greed. Dog chew figures, Kit bashs jobs, item documentation gets slightly distant n fuzzy, and slip in a few repro's (not noted in discription or just playing dumb) when the supplys get thin, before shutting down the account, before the bad feedback flys in.

Seen it so many times...

This thread should be in the 'Watch Out!' section. It's eBay related.

I am weary of anyone with recent negative feedback. It normally means there is some crisis going on in their life and you'll never know how long that is going to take. I once bought something from a guy at the advent of something happening in his life. There was no negative feedback at the time and all of the sudden, other buyers who purchsed stuff from him a couple days before me had started leaving negative feedback and I was like, "Oh great!" Sure enought the item never arrived and I am still trying to get the charges reversed on my card.

Just a quick update...

Well, nearly 6 weeks after the auction ended for the Jawa, the replacement finally arrived today. The replacement is in OK condition, not great, and still has a repro weapon, but hey, it's better than the broken original!

I have had no response to multiple emails to this guy, and the replacement was only sent after I had escalated the paypal claim to a dispute.

Still no sign of the storm trooper...

All this over about $15 worth of loose figures.

In short, avoid. http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

This is quite amusing. I left the following negative feedback for karmafigura2 :

"Poor quality figure, repro weapon, 6 weeks to arrive, seller ignores emails. BAD"

Which I feel is entirely accurate and fair.

And have just received this email from the seller :

"JUST GOT YOUR FEEDBACK COMMENTS ...DOES IT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE WEAPON BEING ORIGINAL...NO IT DOES NOT...THE FIGURE WAS C9 ALSO YOU JUST DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT READ LISTINGS PROPERLY IN FUTURE OH AND BY THE WAY YOU DID NOT AFFECT MY FEEDBACK 1 BIT HAHA YOU YANKEE DOODLE [censored] DANDY STAY AWAY FROM MY SHOP YOU WAST OF TIME AND EFFORT I FEEL SORRY FOR YOUR MAMA...DONT REPLY BACK I WILL JUST DELETE IT..."

Nice chap http://threads.rebelscum.com/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Don't you just love the nice customer service of some sellers. Geez, it is bad enough that he messed up description, but to resort to name-calling and mama jokes. Don't email him back and sink to his level.

For neg. feedback I suggest leaving enough space at the end of it to write "Msg me anytime for photos!" Also, you did dent his feedback. You've probably steered $x worth of custom away from him; at least as much as he took you for. Well done for letting him have it!

I'm a big watcher of feedback and avoid people with comments just like you gave him.So I agree with John, it will definitely cost him $$$$.Nice work Jim.

As I think it's probably a fair bet that I'm also never going to receive the Storm Trooper which I purchased 6 weeks ago from this seller, I took the oppertunity to leave feedback for that item too:

"Item never recieved. Seller sends abusive/insulting emails (with poor spelling!)"

Customer service at it's best! I can't believe that a seller would send such a stupid e-mail. They're committing commercial suicide by giving that response. All I can say it stay well clear.
